I wish I had investigated further before I finished paying to rent a space that we were never let into. My husband called these guys to do some electrical (and other) complicated work on our wall-mounted wide screen TV. They were fantastic! They were totally professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and virtually every part of our interaction with them, from the first phone call to the paying of the bill, was excellent. The company's owner, Matt Luchetti, worked for Tweeters (which went out of business). So there was a vacancy in the state for such a company, and Matt decided to take matters into his own hands and fill the gap caused by Tweeters' closing. He did a GOOD thing, and has grown his fine company into one that sells and services more types of home theatre equipment and products than I actually know the names of! :-). What started as an exciting 50th Birthday gift for my husband literally turned into a nightmare. We went with them blindly on the recommendation of a friend. From the onset, the level of service was poor, no return calls, no return emails, only wanting to communicate by text. Did not hold up their end of the contract, including mixing up product, and charge change order fees and re-stocking fees! Matt is the least professional person I have ever met, talking badly about my electrician who went over and above, talking badly about me to my contractor's employees, and on and on. Wow! I thought I knew enough about home theaters to do everything myself...not! The technology is changing so fast it's almost impossible to keep up with all the new features...and how they all work together. Matthew and his team are amazing. They have a deep understanding of all the components of a home theater system and make sure they configure a system that A) sounds awesome and B) meets your needs and budget. Bought a speaker system but the first problem we had two techs show up scratch their head do nothing and charge 120.00 for a "service call." Never really got the system working properly but why waste cash on clueless techs. The speakers themselves are decent but not great with one not even working properly. A friend got things working better and all he was happy with a beer. Also once the sale and installation was made they disappeared without a follow-up. read more

Once they cash your check (which is moments after you sign it) you'll not receive corrective service without a charge. Matt and his crew are excellent. I own a real estate company and have seen the good the bad and the ugly and Federal Hill Home Theaters is beyond GREAT! I recommend them to everyone I come across who has tvs they want to hang or when I go to homes with wires hanging everywhere. Im very picky and have OCD and these guys clean up after themselves measure 3 times and cut once. I trust them alone which is another great thing.
