We were across the street at the pumpkin patch and needed a quick lunch, this place is convenient and I had heard about it from many people but typically breakfast. We were seated quickly even though it was busy. The menu has a little of everything from pizza, hoagies, wings, and breakfast. We started with some hot pepper cheese balls however they didn't come out until our meal. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, it was a smash burger with great flavor. My husband had the beer battered fish which was enormous. We also saw the italian hoagie which was an entire loaf of bread. Restaurant is very clean. I had the middle of the road as pictured. My breakfast was excellent. My youngest son had chocolate chip pancakes which were very light and tasty, my wife and oldest son enjoyed their meals. Price point is fair, reduction in star is from time to serve. This place offered some delicious comfort foods after a long day of hiking at Raccoon Creek! Our server - Kenidi - was polite but failed to make us aware of the specials. I inquired about an item that was on someone's table but not on the menu and was informed that it was today's special. I ordered it, so definitely would have been nice to know upon being seated. The smoked wings were juicy, tender and full of flavor. The hot roast turkey sandwich was everything I hoped it would be! I wish my plate had been served with more mashed potatoes, but the turkey and gravy were very well prepared. I rarely order soda with dinner, but this time I ordered Cherry Pepsi and it paired well with my meal. Thought about having ice cream for dessert, but they were closing up the containers and turning off the case lights at 535pm. This place is just ok. We were in the area and just so happened to check Yelp and see it was nearby. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 2. We were seated quickly, as the restaurant wasn't very busy. Seems like a place that the locals probably love. The service was lackluster. It felt very rushed. The food came out quickly which was good. I saw another review state that this place was clean. Definitely not, at least by my standards. The dining area where the ice cream station is... the table we sat at had thick cobwebs above it. The fake plants also have cobwebs hanging from them. The wall and window next to our table had dirty child handprints smeared all over. The bathroom was relatively clean, thankfully. The food was just ok. I got a Reuben and my husband got the Joe Joe sandwich. The Joe Joe reminded me a little of a Primanti's sandwich. The Reuben was packed with meat and came out steaming hot, but I was disappointed as there was no thousand island dressing on the sandwich (how can you call it a Reuben without the dressing?). The fries were alright. I was considering trying a scoop of ice cream, but our waitress brought us the check without even asking if we wanted anything else or if we even liked the food we ordered. What looks like a hole in the wall dinner is actually of the best places to eat in the area. It's located directly across from Janoski's farm. I didn't expect much when I walked in. But looking at everyone's dish - wow it was a shocker! Everything looked FRESH, clean, and the portions are VERY generous! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was one of the best I ever had. Chicken was cooked to perfection, lettuce crunchy and fresh (the way I like it). My mom got the Rueben and said it's the best she ever had (if you knew her, you would know what a high compliment that is). We didn't order a salad but the tables around us did and they looked delicious so we want to come back to try that. There is seating outdoor on the porch and indoor (mostly indoor). We went for lunch on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy. And thank god because there was only one waitress and she was busting her butt to take care of everyone and she excelled at it. Love this place! First time I have ever had a Rueben cooked perfectly! The service was warm and nice. They had generous portions, typical to small countryside restaurants. Rustic look and country hometown atmosphere. Really nice for Valentine's Day lunch. There is a state park nearby for hiking and a farmers market across the street that is awesome!!! Solid cafeteria style restaurant that took over from a standard approach run by the Janoski Farm folks. Ordering happens as you walk in. Choose your meal, pay and they bring the food to the table. Fair enough. Staff walked around asking about coffee refills and if we needed anything. They stopped by an appropriate amount of times. The food was solid if not spectacular and was reasonably priced. Five of us ate breakfast and everyone left happy. I had a pick three breakfast and had over easy eggs, bacon and sausage. Are acceptably prepared and brought out in a relatively quick manner. An easy choice if you're passing through and need a quick breakfast. read more

My family came here for breakfast right before we headed over to Janoski's for their fall activities. When we arrived around 8:45am, it was not too busy. Around 9:30 is when people started to shuffle in and there was a wait by the time we left. All of the employees here were extremely kind and aim to please. Our waitress was very sweet and made sure that our coffee cups were always full. We had a party of 6 and our food came out in about 20-25 minutes. My older sister ordered a Belgian waffle with chocolate chips and peanut butter. She absolutely loved it, and so did her fiancé. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich on a bagel with sausage, and it was also great. The sausage was very flavorful. I got a side of bacon as well. The bacon was not bad either, just a little dry. The only issue we had with the whole meal was with the eggs. For the Big Lou, we ordered the eggs over medium, and they came out very runny and not close to medium. Other than that, there were absolutely no complaints. I hope to be back for lunch one day! read more

Saturday afternoon in the summer, Janoski's Farm Market was PACKED. Once our produce needs were met, we headed over for lunch. The restaurant is exactly what you would expect of a farm-style restaurant: nothing fancy but very homey. Everyone mentions the "buffet-style" but there was no such offering when we were there. Though Janoski's was jammed, there was only 4 cars at Lu-Lou's. The young ladies seating and serving were attentive enough. My husband ordered the fried chicken dinner and I ordered a BLT. My sandwich and fries were clearly done before my husband's fried chicken because everything I ordered was stone cold while my husband's fried chicken was just-out-the-frier hot. He was disappointed that all the chicken was dry. There literally was not much meat on the bone either. His French fries were obviously fried with mine because they were stone cold. The bacon my sandwich was thick and delicious and the tomatoes were obviously from across the street farm fresh but they used the hard bitter light green/white pieces of iceberg lettuce when the market across the street was SWIMMING with their freshly harvested leaf lettuce, bib lettuce, or butter lettuce. I'm a big fan of independently owned restaurants but will not be back to this one. read more

As we were traveling through Pennsylvania this evening, we were trying to find a place to eat. I saw an advertisement online through Yelp about a place called Lu -Lou's. Not only was the food impeccably good the weight staff was courteous, very self-sufficient checking in on us all the time to make sure that we had everything that we needed making sure that our food was hot enough to please us and I'm telling you we ate this chicken and dumpling soup that was off of the charts I can't even begin to tell you how good it was my husband had to stuffed noodles. Oh my goodness it was awesome I had of course two bowls of the chicken and dumpling soup and some fried mushrooms. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of the food that we were eating. OMG, our waitress her name is Hellena Her service was impeccable. She was right on point, making sure our coffee cup stayed full so if you were ever in Lou's. and get yourself a fantastic meal young lady in this picture is the one who took care of us. We decided on Lu-Lou's as we were out on a wine tour. You walk in and are greet warmly by the staff. You order when you come in. As we had never been there, they were helpfully and fully answering our questions. Once you order you pick your own sit and they bring the food to you. The dinner room is comfortable and right now, nicely decorated for the season. The food was delicious and they do check on you the right amount of times to make sure all is good. read more

This place is usually pretty good, but I like depends on who is serving you. Today I put in a an order of eggs, bacon, and toast, and asked for an extra egg. When the waitress returned, I had something like 2 double orders of eggs, bacon, and toast, so a total of 8 or 9 eggs, double bacon and all the bread they had. I commented on it, and she said that he made extra he's not gonna charge you for it, so I did the best I could. When the bill came, I was absolutely charged for everything and the total came to about 250% of what I was expecting. I waited to resolve the issue but I never saw her again. I left the cash with the change for the tip, and she probably thought I stiffed her, but if the bill was what it should have been, she got at least a 100% tip but lost a customer. I won't be back soon, and if I have the same server, I will walk back out again. read more

You've had potatoes 1 million times from 1 million places that serve breakfast and I'll tell you these are 1 million times better..they're not just another order of potatoes. Lu-Lou's, which used to be called Janoski Farms Country Restaurant, is a casual restaurant that sells breakfast foods, pizzas, sandwiches, various entrees for lunch and dinner, sides, desserts, and beverages such as slushees and beers. Upon entering the restaurant, my husband and I were wondering if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We then realized that we were supposed to order at the front and then take a number to a table of our choosing to wait for our food to be brought out. The cashier seemed new, because she did not realize that the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was sold out, and she did not give me the receipt that I wanted. She did know that the breakfast menu that was shown on the screens was no longer available after 2 PM. The seating area was large and had many available tables. After several minutes, an employee brought out our food and said, "Enjoy!" The food looked simple. As for the taste... Glazed ham special - 3 stars - The one slice of ham was juicy and was covered in some brown sugar and mustard. For sides, I selected mac and cheese, which was OK and had a good amount of gooey cheese, and green beans, which were also OK and were covered in butter. Stuffed chicken breast - 1 star - The chicken looked slightly pink, so it might have been undercooked. For sides, my husband selected the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes could have been cooked longer and were not mashed. They contained chunks that were ~2 cubic inches!! My husband shook his head, said, "No!", and shoved the plate to the side of the table. When we were ready to leave, he threw away all of the food, and he selected a different restaurant to eat at. Apple crisp - 3 stars - The apple crisp had been stored in the refrigerator, so it was cold. It tasted good, but it could have used fewer oats and more apple slices. Chocolate cream cake - 4 stars - My husband ate all of this cake and said that it tasted "fine." Beverages - 5 stars - The restaurant sold dozens of drinks. The food has gotten three times better, sometimes they still make mistakes - like caking bacon in Salt, or undercooked eggs. They now sell alcohol! I remember this restaurant years ago. We arrived to an empty dining room. My parents got the special beef tips over noodles. Which was really canned beef tips over bowties. Every time the door you could hear the alarm system telling you. The service was ok. The owner sat out in the dining room with a laptop with no clue of what was happening.
