I went to FedEx this afternoon to drop off a damaged iPhone that was being sent back to Apple. I received a replacement phone yesterday afternoon & backed up the old phone & transferred the data to the replacement. The phone came w/a prepaid self addressed box. I brought the phone to FedEx to be shipped The dude at FedEx took the phone and gave me a receipt. I was in & out in less then 3 minutes. Easy peasy got a replacement phone & a return FedEx box. To start, this is my local FedEx and I've been using them for 3+ years. I had a terrible experience bringing in an Apple product for packaging and trade-in. Presenting the paperwork and item, I was told "we don't do that," despite the site being listed on FedEx as a "packing services" site. I drove 25+ minutes to the next nearest FedEx listed on FedEx.com (on Western). When I asked if they processed Apple trade-in and packaging, they said "of course we do, we all do." I told them about the location at Pulaski and they apologized and immediately processed my trade-in item. It appears that the Pulaski location lied to me about processing Apple trade-in items, costing me 50+ minutes of driving time. Please avoid this location. read more

Went here in April to have a passport photo taken. After 13 weeks the State Department said the photo was denied and another photo needed. If you know how slow the process is to get a passport lately please do NOT get it done here you will only be left disappointed, with more expenses, and possibly worst yet miss out on your travel plans. FedEx was very responsive to my phone call today. It was urgent to go out today. I was worried that I had left something out of my overnight delivery. I had dropped it off about an hour prior to my call. They kindly set aside the delivery and gave me time to double check. All was well, so I called back to have them send. OK all I have to say is WOW. This may have been the single most awesome experience at a printer, maybe ever, for me. I normally hate Kinko's and felt like the scum of the earth every time I needed to go and use one (yeah Park Ridge I'm talking to you!!) so with some trepidation I went here during some free time to price out a small print job. David was the guy helping me and he was SO COOL. Like to the point where as soon as I am done writing this there will be a letter sent to the main Kinko's office about him. Not only did he print a sample of my design for free (in colour), but since it was a postcard size design he asked if I thought about making postcards out of it. I honestly had never thought about that so he went over to the lamination machine and made one for me so I could see how it would look. For free. Then he copied all of them, cut them and made sure they fit in the envelopes I was buying before I took them home. For way less than at any stationary store - these bad boys look totally legit and professional. All of this plus a great jokey attitude which really made the experience pleasant. Oh and another thing I appreciated - even though I was the only person there at first, a couple of other people came in after me. Not only did he acknowledge them, but he actually was listening to them as he was helping me and was offering suggestions to them while they waited. Now thats service. This location is a bit out of my way but anytime I need anything else I am making the trip. Seriously, if you are a current Kinko's hater, come here and see David. Normally FedEx joints (that were Kinkos) are what they are. Expensive, but get the job done for office services (printing, scanning, etc.) in a pinch. This place is generally acceptable, but if you are just trying to get in and out with a drop off, it can be excruciatingly slow. The staff does not seem to have a sense of urgency when a line is developing (it almost has a USPS feel). Not so bad that it is worth trying to avoid, but be aware it may take longer in the store than anticipated. read more

I have to take back some stars on this place in recent months. The friendly, helpful, cheerful staff I wrote about a little over a year ago has been replaced once again with a minimal skeleton crew who don't seem to care much. Blame it on the recession or whatever, but I routinely come by with business cards printed on larger sheets that need to be cut to size. I used to get them all the time, but in recent visits they need more time to cut them or even were misplaced one time, where the employees had to look around the store where they put the finished job. They don't even call me when a job is finished like they used to. Yesterday I came in with cards to cut. The guy at the counter told me he's working alone and the cutter is broken, so it's next to impossible to have them tomorrow. Thing is, the cutter was broken the week before and never got fixed, yet the guy had it done in about 3 days. When a shop like this refuses to maintain its own equipment, it tells me they don't care if they lose business. He told me to take it to another location, so I did. While this FedEx Kinko's is near my workplace, I took it to the one in Park Ridge, closer to home. I am disappointed that this place can't do the job like it used to. read more

FedEx kinkos is a rip off. Who charges $10 for faxing? No one should ever have to pay that must for faxing. Forget shipping something, it will cost your 5 times more then the USPS. Making copies costs another pretty penny. Next time I'll just go to the library. They have printing services, copying services for next to nothing. Please think twice before shipping or using this place for any office needs. It's not worth the cost. read more

I went to this place because my scanner was not working & I needed to scan & email a document. They charge by the minute for a computer & the connection speed is super slow. It got to the point where I couldn't even take care of what I needed because it was so slow! The guy behind the counter was kind of jerky at first, but eventually came around to help. The customer service is good in the sense that the associates are sweet. However, my visit to this location was to print out a short 2 page piece for a writing contest. I recognize the fact that employees are not paid to be editors, but if you see obvious mistakes, it would be nice if the associate would point them out. For instance, I had a double space in between two words which did not become obvious to me until I saw my document in print. In support of the associate, she did hand me the document for my review before collecting payment. I did not really look at it as I was in a hurry. A very long time ago, I worked at a Kinkos, and we were instructed to point out these kinds of obvious errors. I guess the lines are blurred regarding this expectation, but I guess I just felt that something like this could have been pointed out to me, along with a tabbing error I had made on the document's header. I consider these things part of the layout of the document. I was lucky that I gave my piece one last scan before dropping it in the mail. I was also lucky there was a mom and pop copy print center located near the post office. They were all too willing to make these changes to my document and run a second copy. read more

The least accommodating fedex I've ever been to. The manager, Angela, was working alone. I received a FedEx ground box from Matt & Bow. She stared "it looked like a shoe box," and wouldn't accept it. Confused, I called customer service for Matt & Bow and they said they've never had problems with return shipping the SAME BOX I GOT A DAY AGO SHIPPED FROM FedEx. With that said, I had to file a complaint to corporate and her district manager. Angela was the "center manager" and did a horrible job with customer device. She didn't even give the appropriate steps or even check my box to see if it was strong enough. Completely unacceptable behavior by someone in a management role. I'm positive this isn't her first complaint. read more

This store gets demerits because it is the face of FedEx delivery. A package was delivered to this store without my knowledge, and when I attempted to pick up the package, I was told that it had been returned because I wasn't timely enough. It's a racket - they know you need the delivery, so they will do anything they can to run up costs on you. If the driver determines he/she can't deliver to your house, they may redirect your package without your consent, and then if you don't respond to their error quickly enough, they send the package back. Then, you're stuck with another delivery charge. Bravo, FedEx! read more

The woman working Tuesday night on October 2, 2018 was not helpful at all. When I asked for assistance, she looked annoyed, and was more concerned about getting out the door. It cost me over $12.00 dollars just to send an email to mail of four copies to the computer. All I wanted to do is scan a few pages, and I was stuck, since it was my first time using their computers. And the longer I waited for help, the timer kept charging me by the minute. All this woman would do, is constantly remind me when they close, even a half hour before closing. I won't be back, but I will inform the manager in the morning about the poor customer service. read more

I came in very flustered and tired from taking care of an ailing parent. My arms were full and Danish (owner) came running to the door to open it and help me, and was very helpful from then on. My boyfriend recently moved across country to be with me (Awww, right?)... he lived in Chicago, and I live in CA. We went to this location to ship his monster PC because we were flying back home. Nelly helped us and she was just great. She bubbled wrapped and packed both the PC and monitor and did such a great job. I was impressed because she only charged us about $12 for it! This place is okay. I'm happy with the guy that did my printing job, but he doesn't normally work there. Also, the prices were good. Their ink quality is okay, not as nice and glossy as other professional places. Comparing it to Sir speedy, it's not as nice. However, I was able to get my invitations cut very precisely. Something two other printing companies (Sir Speedy and Ross Prining) failed to do for me! The guy was also SUPER patient and cared about the product he was giving me. read more

Just came in to quickly make 20 copies of a flyer. The only employee was shanice. The fliers were printed in a color other than what I asked for and she acted like it was a huge imposition to reprint so I just took them anyway. Then, she did not inform me before hand there was a margin on the copies so the edges of my image were cut off. When I inquired if there was any way to print it correctly she informed me I could clear a self serve printer and try it myself, but she didn't know if that would even work. She was very brusk and short with me and the other customers. Not pleased with my item or the service, couldn't find a way to review directly to fedex. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Do NOT take any printing needs here. I have never in my life met someone less skilled at their job than the man who helped me. Andrianna who was also working at the time was very nice and apologetic, this review is not for her. I spent over 3.5 hours total at this location today (not including when I had to go home to change my pdf file because he couldn't figure out how to split the pages). When I was there the second time, he couldn't answer why the printed files looked different from my digital files. He had me on their computer walking him through it in photoshop, and yet still could not problem solve and then said "I did what you told me to do"....I'm not an employee. I don't know how to use the printers. That's not the customer's responsibility. He offered no solutions or options to my issue at any point, or seemingly had any understanding of why it wasn't working. He was ill equipped to handle the printers, the computer, the software, and the customer service. They offered no solutions except to go to another location, which I did and had my project done in 10 mins. I should've done this from the beginning. I've never wasted more time or had a more frustrating experience than at this fedex. Do NOT go here. read more

I came here to ship a package that wasn't completely packed. The woman behind the counter said, "I'm not shipping that, I can't have that liability on me." I was so shocked at her immediate negative and aggressive response I stood there for a moment taking it in. She could have worn a smile and said, "I'm sorry sir, if I accept this package they may not ship it... it may get damaged... (etc.) Here's what I can do for you..." but she said "I'm not shipping that" I asked her, "what do you mean when you say that?" Since she didn't explain why I was essentially asking her to explain what the problem was, something I would have expected her to offer without being asked because it would have been a step toward a solution, but since she didn't offer an explanation I prompted her. She gave a few reasons why she couldn't ship it, I found some of them reasonable and others a little nit picky, considering the package wasn't completely packed after-all (I hadn't adjusted the packing, didn't close the top, hadn't taped it closed, etc.). She said, "I can repack it for you if you want." I was shocked again because she made it sound like she was doing me a favor when I knew she would be charging me an extra fee for the packing. So I said, "But you're going to charge me more for that right?" She said, "Yes." I waited again, nothing more than her "yes" Finally I told her, "Listen, I've worked for a package shipper before, I've seen poorly packed boxes, this isn't one of them. It's not worth arguing about-" she cut me off. "This isn't an argument." Again, shock ran over me. I looked over at the other employee who wanted no part of our interaction. Not only was this woman being unhelpful and combative, she was cutting me off and actively arguing with me in the store. There's no reason for her to tell me that "this isn't an argument" unless she's trying to 'win' an argument about semantics. She fails to grasp that losing a customer isn't winning. Lastly I said, "In my opinion this is an argument, but it doesn't matter, if you aren't going to ship my package I will go somewhere else. I'm not going to pay for the packing but please tell me how much the packing would cost and what is included." In an annoyed tone, she explained the box the packing material and tape for $6.00. I calculated that the store probably pays under $3 in material and labor for that service and make an extra $6 per transaction. I left the store and went straight to UPS, who helped me without incident on my overnight package. They even gave me some tape. read more
