If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend coming here. I needed to print a couple of awards on cardstock and someone suggested I try this place. I asked the worker for help, and he told me where to email my documents so they could print them. After that, he went to help other customers. There were a couple of other workers there, so I was a little confused as to why he was the only one helping customers. After a few minutes, he came back to print my documents, but before bringing them over, he answered the phone and spent about 10 minutes helping the customer on the call. By the time I finally got my papers and paid, I was in a rush and didn't notice the extra $2.50 FS surcharge on my receipt. I looked it up afterward and it seems like they charge that fee when a worker helps you. So my $3.28 print job for two papers ended up being $6.31 The prints came out fine, but the fee should be mentioned upfront. This was probably my first and last time coming here, I'll stick with Copyland since I've always had a better experience there read more

The employee was unable to do this competently, as we ended up with "fuzzy" photos that didn't meet the quality standard required by the State Department and were rejected. Today I received som top notch excellent customer service. I had an appointment at DMV to upgrade to a real ID and had left one of the documents needed as proof of address on my scanner after uploading it into the DMV Portal - Don't ask me why you then need to bring a physical copy when they already have it - but I digress. I was in a pinch and needed copies of two documents quickly so that I could take it back over to DMV, so I headed over to this FedEx location. I was promptly greeted and was told the best way to print from my phone was by using their Print and Go feature. The process is simple, you email your document to the FedEx email and they send you a pin to use at the printer to pay and print. Unfortunatley, I waited and waited and never got the confirmation email. The gentleman that greeted me continued to check in on me and after a little more time offered an email address that he would be able to print my docs to print out. At that point I received a PIN for one of the two docs and I was able to print it out very easily using the system. However, the second PIN didn't show up until way later and the associate was kind enough to facilitate printing the second document and saving me from a huge ordeal at the DMV. read more

Stopped by to ship a bike I had packed up for travel to NYC since the fedex office is down the street from my shop. As I was waiting in line, I noticed one of my flaps on my box was coming up so I asked if I could use the tape gun on the counter real quick. I was told abruptly "No!" I walked out, loaded it back in my car and went to Pakmail Davis and shipped it out with them. I happily paid their shipping charge and was offered the 2 strips of tape my box needed. I had some photos printed here to make posters for my apartment and Belmont went above and beyond to make sure my prints looked perfect. He recommended using a different and heavier paper and when i found some flaws on a couple of my prints he took them and reprinted my whole set to make sure they looked good. Super predatoey pricing that leaves peoples mouths open when they go to return something or ship out even small packages. You are better off paying for a prepaid label from amazon or ebay. First time being to a fedex print and shop center. And I will definitely be returning in the future if I need a print job. I walked over to the printer not sure how to proceed, and without even asking for help, the worker came to assist me. Their self serve printers allow you to choose from the cloud (Dropbox, box, google drive) as well as from several formats on a USB flash drive like JPEG, PDF. I printed a 500 page textbook, so the process took awhile. But overall the wait time was not too bad considering the number of pages. I was provided a free box to hold my prints as well! I wish there was an industry hole puncher i could use so that I could do a large number of prints at a time. read more

Very spacious with plenty of parking and friendly staff. Came here around 10 am on a Saturday to print out resume papers. The guy who was working at the register helped me out by explaining the various paper choices. I just got the generic C85 (typical resume paper). The guy was professional and got the work done in less than 5 minutes. He even printed out a sample before printing all 12 papers. The total cost was $2.85 (black/white), pretty standard. They also can print out papers for brochere, trifolds, and others. Fed ex is also great on package delivery, never had a problem in the past. I asked the guy at counter how much each print would cost and was told it was 75 cents per sheet. After printing the pages, when I went to pay, my total came out to be way more than expected. I asked why the total was so high and he said "oh, actually it was actually over $1 per sheet". He didn't apologize nor honor the original price he quoted me. After, trying to point this out, he just made a conceited remark as if I had no reason to complain. When I checked the receipt, I was charged about $1.40 per sheet.. about double! This was completely unprofessional and I have rarely experienced such poor customer service. If I had known that paper type was so expensive, I would have asked for thinner paper, hence why I asked him for an original quote. I won't be returning to this location. Recently the customer service at this location was quite poor. The young woman helping us was patronizing and rude.She clearly was annoyed that we needed assistance in printing and didn't want to use the automated kiosk. In the past, we have had better assistance with both shipping and printing . Management should revisit recent hires and train in customer service. We are happy to go to Copyland for printing and PDQ for shipping where we are not treated like an annoyance. Do not recommend FedEx Davis. read more

I'm writing because for the life of me I can't figure out the way this place works! We waited almost a month for a package that should of been here two and a half weeks before! Their updates make no sense at all! At one point the package was in Stockton and it just so happened that another bigger package that we had ordered four days before was also in Stockton. We got the second package the next day. The update for the first one said severe weather still in Stockton! How the hell does one make it and one doesn't? For three days it was there and then in Sacramento for two more days. They would say the package would be delivered on such and such day and then the next day would push the date back again. No way to do business guy's with so much competition out there! read more

Disclosure: I have NOT used any of their services except to ship or pickup packages. That being said, the older guy with the shaved head and glasses at their packaging center has got to be the NICEST person alive. I saw him being yelled at by a customer which was something entirely out of his control, the customer was irritated by the shipping price but hey, it's governed by FedEx company policies! The poor employee doesn't set the prices, as if he's out to get you.. geez, anyways, I rant because I care and the employee was improperly treated but still maintained a smile and had the energy to be nice when it was my turn! Definitely brings a smile to my face every time I drop by there to do business and he's there most of the time in the afternoons when I go by. Customer service = A+ and then some! I love using the FedEx center and it's amazing that they're open until 11:00 p.m. when most restaurants don't even stay open that late! Great place, great people and I'll continue to use them. I have worked with tons of Kinko's all over CA, and I am very impressed with this one in Davis. I've thrown them a few last minute projects and they were very friendly, accommodating and the quality was great. Also, I love this Kinko's because they have the BEST shipping staff I've ever worked with. At other Kinko's I have had nightmarish experiences with shipping packages: I've spent over an hour working with incompetent people who can't even figure out how to properly input an address or how to package my items. And since I ship a lot of important things for work, it was incredibly stressful and time consuming. Which is why I appreciate the staff at the Davis Kinko's. They all have been good, but Robert is the most amazing shipping rep I've ever worked with! He is incredibly fast and knowledgeable. He always works to find me the cheapest prices, even when I don't ask, and even when I give him complicated instructions or packaging needs, he is able to handle it effortlessly. He saves me so much time and has made my life so much better! read more

Usually I wouldn't bother to review an installation of a chain store (at least unless I was really bored) but this particular FedEx is actually standout enough to merit it. They have a hydraulic cutter, which is pretty cool. For something like 50 cents a cut, you can cut just about anything. Have a textbook you want revenge on, a hydraulic cutter is the answer. Of course, the real reason I'm giving this place a review at all, let along a 5 star one is Robert at the shipping counter. I've never actually had such a positive experience with someone in customer service in any field. It's been consistent as well, whenever I have a package to ship, not only is he (Always) there, but he always is helpful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and usually gets my package where it needs to go faster than I was expecting, and for less money. The fact that several people have written about how awesome he is should be indication enough. He really just rocks at his job. read more

As much as I like to support non-chains, the customer service at this place, particularly the general manager and Robert in shipping, are so consistently excellent that I always look forward to my trips here. The staff here is clearly coached on the expectations management has of high customer service and goes out of their way to make sure you are being taken care of quickly. I've seen a big turnaround in this company in the past few years and while some Fedex/Kinko's seem behind the times, this particular store deserves merits for their above and beyond approach to meeting customer needs. The computers also seem to have speeded up, which is nice since I don't like paying by the minute for programs that take 5 minutes to load. They have addressed this issue well. For anyone who may have a complaint with how they feel they were treated here, I would strongly encourage you to give your feedback directly to the general manager. I use the Natomas FedEx store more for picking up parcels than printing. For a recent project I decided to go with the Davis store (lower tax!) for convenience. It was easy to set up an online Poster Print order (24"x36", no lamination, etc.) and choose store pickup. Within 15 minutes of placing the order I get a phone call, making sure I was aware that my photo/design would leave white margins on the poster size I selected, and asking if I want to trim the white parts off or leave as-is. How considerate since I didn't add any special instructions indicating as such. Within an hour of placing the order I received another phone call to say it was completed (already?!). Very nice. Also was accompanied by a e-mail confirming order status along the way (placed, processing, completed). I picked it up the day after at my own convenience and the girl at the counter was very nice. She didn't unroll the poster to show me what it looked like (if I was satisfied) before printing my receipt and keeping certain paperwork for the store, but the product did turn out perfectly. I even got 15% off my order thanks to a promo code! Parking for this store can be tricky since that big public parking lot is there between 3rd and 4th along E and F Sts. Otherwise, it's spacious, quiet, and open late for whatever you might need. read more

This review is for Belmont and there was one other guy who helped me but i feel bad and forgot his name!! (Belmont will remember) I use kinkos for prints I need for work and I feel like the employees there exceeded my expectations for a project they completed for me with a very short deadline. I had misread something online about 24-hour printing so gave them my PDF expecting to have it done the same day but when I found out that wasn't the case (my bad for misreading the flyer), they worked their MAGIC to turn it around in a day for me. It was a massive project, too. That meant scrambling to find the banners to print it on, getting things rush ordered to their location, and throwing a wrench (I'm sure) into their already busy day. I'm sure a lot more stress was taken on in order to provide those exceptional customer service that I'm not even aware of. Anyways, they made it work when they didn't owe anything to me. This place has spectacular service every time. I have been here all hours, from 7am to 9pm, and there is always someone eager to help. More recently, I came here to buy 100 business cards. I brought my design in on a flash drive and the worker looked at the formatting, made it perfect, and then printed and cut them. He messed up with the cutting the first time and then asked me to come back within the hour to pick up. When I got back, the cards were ready and he gave me 150 cards and a great price!
