The woman who helped me was extremely rude. She made me feel completely incompetent. Her energy was negative and cold- why is she in customer service? I would rather spend a lifetime as a guinea pig in Circe's lair than another minute speaking with this unhappy woman. Perhaps she was having a bad day or received bad news; that is the only reason I assume she could possibly treat me with such contempt. There should be a better vetting process for people who are in customer service. Especially a public service as important as mailing services- a once pillar of our society. Society is in decline. I find myself shipping through FedEx these days. I stop here to drop off my boxes for shipping. To save the hassle, I recommend printing a pre-shipping label. All you have to do is drop it off with an option for a receipt. I try to go before or after the lunch hours. There's plenty of parking but if you're carrying a lot of boxes, you may be any to bring a hand truck. The door is quite hard to open when both hands are full. Overall, great customer service and friendly people. read more

Even though the place was pretty busy at about noon, one guy saw me and said something along the lines of, I know what to do, let's do it. Went to print four 10x10 posters which is advertised for the price of 29.99, was told by the employee they'll have to crop the photos (but did not mention at all that it would cost any fee), he cropped the photos infront of me on their PC (took less than 3 minutes) today at pickup each photo had an extra charge of 7.5$ Per photo (30$ total) For "digital file enhancement" which when I asked about was told it is for cropping the photos!!! When I asked why wasn't I told about it, he rudely answered that I could have cropped them myself! If you mentioned before placing the order I would have easily cropped them in less than 3 minutes and gave you the files FedEx you have lost my business read more

Oh my gosh, overpriced! I came here out of desperation since a one-time foray with Vista Print resulted poorly; since my usual print-shop, VIP, couldn't figure out how to to do the set-up for some .pdf files I needed done; & since after my move, is no longer that convenient for me to use VIP. I needed 100 two-sided, standard postcards printed. VIP was going to charge $55 for the batch and turn it over the next day. FedEx charged me $125 (originally, they quoted me $225 -- and then realized they could fit two on one sheet to "save me money"). And the standard cardstock they use is a terrible, thin weight; and the cards don't even have a high-gloss finish. Sub-standard quality compared to other print shops I've worked with. While the staff I worked with was friendly and competent, I can't bring myself to come back. Basically, it seems you're paying for the name and the 24-hour availability; but it's just not enough to merit such jacked up prices. I'll be looking for a local printer asap. read more

FedEx meets your needs when you need something overnighted, a last minute project printed or even a fax sent. I recently had to utilize their services to overnight an envelope. I called both the USPS and FedEx, and ended up going with FedEx. Even though FedEx was slight more expensive ($7ish+tax versus $5ish+tax), they guaranteed arrival, whereas USPS couldn't guarantee next day arrival. The employee I interacted with was personable and answered all my questions. I returned to FedEx again needing to fax something, it's really unfortunately that people still need things faxed these days and that government services (libraries and even universities) don't offer public fax machines. It cost me over $1/page to fax, which isn't bad when you have to fax two documents, but could become insanely expensive! The downside of the fax experience was that they only have one fax machine. I also utilized the photocopier (after waiting a while since two out of four machines were broken). They try to make things simple, having a google drive option, e-mail option and flash drive option to upload your document. Honestly, flash drives are your best option--google drive wasn't working and the e-mail system should be managed from a desktop computer (e-mail your document to printandgo@fedex.com and wait for the code, which you enter into the photocopier). My experiences at FedEx office have always taken longer than I expected and have been more complicated than I anticipated. I don't go their unless I'm desperate. read more

There are obvious benefits to using FedEx Office that I won't detail here, but rather let me extol the virtues of this particular location. They recognize my face here, since my job has me popping over once every few weeks, usually frantic, sweating, as late as can be. But the folks here never let my anxious energy affect their dispositions, and they're always able to accommodate even my most ridiculous of requests. Recently, I needed three foam core, laminated posters a few short hours so that they could make the last domestic collection of the day: 7:00 p.m. Not only were my posters ready (and gorgeous, I might add), but they also packed them up---using the amazing framed art box that I didn't even know existed!---and shipped them out for me, all within roughly eight hours. They've also got my corporate account on file so, when I pay with my corporate card, the funds are automatically deducted from the correct cost center. I work for Duke, but in Brightleaf, and I'm basically FedExing stuff all day long. Our regular carrier picks up around 4:00 p.m. every day so, when I'm running late---which happens a lot more often than I'd like---I rely on the FedEx drop box in the Brightleaf building that houses El Rodeo. A couple of weeks ago, I visited that hidden treasure and found a disconcerting sign on it: "Out of Service." Tragic! But this FedEx Office location is so close to Brightleaf, that I simply pop in with my pre-printed / affixed airbill and drop my package in the drop box to your immediate right just inside the door. It takes me maybe an additional ten minutes to go that route than to drop it in the now-defunct Brightleaf box, so it's not too shabby. This location is absurdly convenient to Duke and downtown Durham (on Ninth Street near Swift / Broad) and, with its own private parking lot, it's super easy to get in and get out. read more

I used to call the store to place order and they would contact me back once product had arrived at store! I've made 5 attempts to place order, but no one really wants to deal with It!! I went in person to print some simple small photos from an email attachment. Self service station's network connection wasn't working so I tried the print center. 2 of the staff members ended being totally unable to help me with this basic task. Maybe it's because it's typically a self service thing, but they were visibly exhausted, apparently untrained, and ended up losing my order completely after I waited for hours and called back to ask about it. It is holiday season, which is tough, but my hunch is that Fedex is not treating these team members well- as there is often a hiring sign on the door and I see different folks in the print center often. Anyways, get it together, Fedex ninth st! Y'all could be amazing. read more

It's FedEx. They get stuff done. But while they're renovating (I don't know how much longer that'll be) they are giving 15% off all printing services. You have to ask. And then remind them. Apparently people don't read the big ass sign on the way in. I had some business cards made, and while it was a bit more expensive than I had wanted, it was timely and done around my schedule. The people working there were pretty nice too. Note: The printing services line is slow as molasses. If there's a long line just come back later. It's open 24/7 so you shouldn't have a problem, say, oh, around midnight? read more

This place is better on the weekends. It's quite busy on the weekdays and even if you have already paid for your shipping label and they just have to scan it to give you a receipt to say it was dropped off, you have to wait in line while they handle everything else. It's not a quick drop off point. Maybe they need to have a few floater employees that can work more than one station when one section gets busier than the other. read more

FedEx Kinko on the corner of Main and Ninth streets. Very good customer service here. A girl behind the counter was particularly helpful when I had send a package for my family overseas. Their overnight collection time is at 6:30 pm. So, if you want to send stuff overnight, make sure you get there before that time!!! read more

I asked to have a pattern printed from a thumb drive. The senior tech did not know how to do what had been done before at this location and wanted to charge me a $60 set up fee for a job he did not know how to do. He just wanted to chase off my business Additionally the tight parking at this location requires that the delivery loading trucks use the handicapped spot. To be fair to the FedEx drivers the handicapped spot is barely visible I got the same job completed at the new Hope Commons FedEx for only eight dollars. Do not take anything complicated to the Ninth St location or they will overcharge you hoping they won't have to fiqure how to do the work that the, true professionals at the New Hope Commons FedEx completd with three mouse clicks. read more

They said they are trying to fix it but want people to come in anyway. All this after driving her and waiting 15 minutes in line. There are other places to get their other services. Upon checking in with her superiors she eventually found it, but in the process became thoroughly exasperated with herself and us, and said a racist comment. Inexcusable. This establishment must pride itself on having the worst customer service possible. Even though their website and other sources boast that they are open 24 hours a day, our experience on the eve of a holiday proved otherwise. We couldn't even get through the front door before being bombarded with questions about how long we planned to stay and reminders that they "were closing in ten minutes." The "manager" also proceeded to belittle us by sarcastically mentioning that their revised hours were "right on the door as you walked in." Due to this unfortunate experience, we were unable to complete our print job because we felt so rushed and uncomfortable with the employees almost breathing down our necks. While I can fully understand the desire of employees to get off in preparation for a holiday, no customer deserves to be treated with such utter disrespect. I will not be returning to this location, and I advise others to find another place for their printing and shipping needs. P.S. The wifi is horribly slow. read more

Placed a simple Fedex Go copy order via the app for pickup at this location. The five doc order was missing one doc entirely while another doc was copied twice. Waited around an inordinate amount of time for the missing doc to be copied. This took longer than if I had come in and copied the docs myself. I'm inspired to write a review because of the exceptional service I've had there on numerous occasions. There is an exceptionally friendly and helpful woman working named Christian who made an otherwise stressful and complicated copy-and-ship job seem easy and enjoyable. The other employees were also helpful and knowledgeable, which is especially important because the machines are temperamental and confusing at times. I was impressed by how Christian stayed so patient and pleasant even when the customers were frustrated and irritable. read more

Worst service ever from the store employee, Onikea. Would not/refused to figure out how to print my prepaid label from the scannable barcode. Told me to go home and printout off!!! Used the excuse the scanner is not working and told me to work with Peter. Peter (a competent employee) seemed to scan it just fine and was able to print the prepaid label.
