My husband came in here hoping to have a print made from a photo on his phone. He is not tech savvy. The person here sent him down the street to have his photo made 300dpi so they would print it. Extremely rude, impatient, and unprofessional customer service. None of their printers were working properly when I tried to print from a USB. Only one machine partially worked, and it constantly froze and threw error messages. When I asked for help, the employee said she would charge extra to print it herself because their own machines were broken. That is unacceptable and feels like a scam. This location appears to be under questionable new ownership. Absolutely do not recommend. Avoid this place. read more

Love the ease of printing here. Staff are super helpful and nice. They even have a 24"x36" printer you can use with a usb. It prints and scans all sizes. Print in color of 24x36 is only $11. It's a great deal. Super clean place. read more

I was trying to print one copy from a document from my USB. But they have copy machines with USB ports that never work, and they never fix them. So I asked the lady who was working if she could assist me with printing my one page document, and she said that I had to wait 45 minutes. Lousy customer service. read more

I could not believe how much UPS charged for a 1 page letter to be mailed Internationally. I drove to this Fedex office but it is expensive to send 1 letter via International mail $79.99. read more

Rarely using this company, what happened to drop in to print a few papers and documents. Was able to get help within five minutes of waiting, which was completely fine. Was not aware of the procedure of printing documents off of an email or handheld device. A code must be entered, and emails sent before printing. Just dropped off a package for a merchant return. The merchant emailed me a return label but offered no instructions beyond drop the item at a flFedEx with the preload label. I placed the item in a small FedEx box and took it to this location for shipping. I was informed that the "white" boxes could only be used for express shipments not ground. Only "brown" boxes could be used for ground shipments. And if I wanted to use a brown box, I would have to pay for it. Only Express boxes are free. The clerk gave me a pass this time. Ok. But nowhere is is posted that they now color code boxes for shipment. Where's the written customer disclosures? The cost of shipping packages has increased. Ok. But shouldn't the cost of packaging be included in the shipment price along with everything else like labor, fuel, etc. They are charging more and passing it onto their customers. Go to the U.S. Post Office. The service is good and they have one rate shipping that includes the box in the price. I also witnessed a customer ask for his order that was due at noon. It was 2 pm. Order was half done but no one notified him. FedEx is not your father's Kinkos anymore. read more

Called to get a quote to specific measurement for a package to return a product. The woman on the phone went to check her boxes and gave me a quote. I thanked her and she said "no problem, see you In a few minutes". I went in store to carry out the packaging and return. In store, the Assistant Manager Kramisha, told me they didn't have the packaging available. I asked if she was certain because the woman I spoke with in the phone said you did. Kramisha refused to check for the box and told me she's already packing so many things and won't check for it. It would seem that customer service isn't important at this location. Walked in, waited in line, no words and no acknowledgement from the Center Manager--David as he was assisting another individual ahead me. Waited a good five minutes... Then a couple walked in, he acknowledged them loud and clear, and yet again, another couple walked in, he acknowledged them. I called him out on it being the only minority and the one he did not acknowledge at all, and he just laughed it off like it's nothing serious. Please show the same respect, tone, and manner to all of your customers, not just just to the customers who are of the same racial background as you. As others have said you can't reuse FedEx envelopes because they're for certain things- they will always try and make you buy a new one. It's a waste and annoying. Try to go anywhere else if you can help it. read more

Well, this store is run like a joke ( I used to work at this store and it was so much different). First issue I have with them is that there are 3 people behind the counter 2 of them are looking at a computer screen while the one person helps on the Fedex counter taking a shipping order. After 10 minutes helping out the gal in line ahead of me I approached and asked if there was anyone that could help her and the gals answer was "we aren't allowed to use the other register". The second question was - dont you have a manager here that can help direct people as everyone in the store was in line waiting but only the one person was helping anybody. Then my large issue came up when they required a license or passport to make a shipment. This is ridiculous and I asked them what if I had no license or passport - would I just be refused any shipping ability through Fedex to which the answer was a simple YEP. This store is very poorly managed and the policies that fedex has put in place at the Kinko's stores has totally sucked the life out of what used to be a good service oriented business (Kinko's). Now it is a pathetic corporate bureaucracy. What was even funnier is that I walked across the street to ship UPS with no issues. There is no question about it - if you want to go with a company that has customers and service in mind - DO NOT go to fedex. Support our USPS or the boys in brown. read more

I don't know which of the following is crazier: No service or acknowledgement from a staff of three for fifteen minutes despite no queue OR The fact that I actually stood at the counter for fifteen minutes completely silent in awe of this. I hit up Kinko's for some do it yourself lamination and to use their paper cutter. Usually pretty friendly service. On a side note: I took a class at UCSB with the CEO of Kinko's. At times he serves as a guest "teacher". Kinko's was this guy's nickname. This location has the worst service I've ever experienced at a FedEx Kinko's (which is like saying "this Denny's has the worst food of all the Denny's"). I've been to this place several times, as it's near my workplace and I'm lazy. But they never fail to disappoint me -- I'm considering creating a drinking game out of it.* The customer service is atrocious. They're not openly rude -- just ignorant about how to interact with other humans. If you have to come here for some reason, prepare to be ignored. And I don't just mean when you first enter (although that will happen) -- employees will start ignoring you even after they've asked you a question. I'm not sure if the staff is overworked, undertrained, apathetic, drunk or just dumb. But whatever the cause, don't expect to get any questions answered. If you don't know exactly what you want -- and how to tell them what they need to do to make your request happen -- they won't be able to help you. Save yourself a headache and use UPS across the street or Staples a couple miles away. Adequate at best. Can't finish my project because the normal Standard offering of double stick tape AND glue sticks are Out. The lady's too preoccupied with watching the clock and reminding we customers that she is closing in 15minutes. Rude. The computers internet speed is mind numbingly slow. It's usually pretty clean. But there are always bits of garbage scattered about. The fact that the other standard office supplies were neatly organized made the absence of any adhesive products was very obvious. At least I didn't have to spend the last 10minutes searching for supplies that weren't there. But ultimately, I now have to go back again because I could not finish my project. Saved a couple of minutes to waste another hour tomorrow And now I can't work through the night as I planned because I can't finish my project! Can you tell I'm irritated about not being able to finish my project!? If the ladies attitude hadn't been so clearly, "I'M CLOSING IN 15 MINUTES.".... Hobbled in today feeling and looking like absolute death. Cold, coughing and could barely speak. Edgar helped me, beyond what I expected him to do. Printing and scanning some docs from an e-mail I had received. He didn't mind I was a walking leper of infectious germs, he assisted me in an expert and expeditious manner, even using my computer to expedite the process. I was really amazed at his kindness to me and his computer skills. Wow. Customer service is not dead. First time here and there is no question I would return. My work used to use them for photocopying service and they were constantly messing things up. One time they sent me my copies back with half the page cut off - as in somebody printed horizontally instead of vertically. There was even a little not in the box that said 'this order was inspected by _____ who confirmed that it matched your original'. Um, that person had to either have been a) blind or b) extremely drunk. Otherwise I've come in here a couple times for personal projects and to ship a couple boxes fed-ex. It always takes FOREVER to get assistance. Oh, and while they have computers available for internet use/word processing etc, which is actually hard to find in Monterey, the amount they charge you to use them is insane, so AVOID! read more

I know Covid-19 has presented challenges for businesses, but most businesses have taken the challenges in stride and have upped their customer service in an effort to keep customers coming. Not FedEx, at least not the one on Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey. I guess they figure that they have a captive audience, so they only need to do the minimum, which is all I've gotten on my last several visits there. Went in wanting a document scanned and loaded onto a disk. They gave me a couple of options (self serve or full serve). Service was friendly and competent, and the price was reasonable. Follow up: Two or three really good experiences here, but last Saturday, we couldn't find an employee or get service if our lives depended on it. It was like walking into a ghost town. I rave reviewed this Fex Ex as a copy diy place. Therefore, when sending off an eBay antique I sold, I chose them as well. I called ahead with dimentions of the end table sized table. I was clear that I wanted worst case, highest price cost to send scenario. They pick up from my home. They box, wrap, insure for $1000.00 and send from Monterey, Ca. Coast to Coast of New York. I want to put that warning of cost in my EBay ad to buyers (called the truth ) and not discover, again, I'm losing all profit with mailing charges. Worst case? With no doubt, says Fed Ex. $220.00 but that coast to coast with all high end services. I sold item to a Californian 150 miles away. Fed Ex says tops $60.00. I charge buyer $80.00 with cavaet, I'll return excess shipping money. This FedEx now tells me I must deliver item, buy my own box elsewhere (they don't have boxes large enough for a nightstand). And I had to bubble wrap. All FedEx needs to do is stuff my box with more protective paper and ship 150 miles...not cross country. I charged $80.00 to buyer for wiggle room on FedEx suggestion given them the exact addess. Price? $260.00? WTH??? OOPS, sorry. Loads of excuses. ..Not our fault. I must have misunderstood. Gal I spoke to was new. Donkeys fly. No. I was clear. I was specific. I asked all the right questions and I would not have sold this item if I knew the truth. The truth to have sold to New York shipping. ..closer to $500.00, maybe more. I could have saved $ driving the dang thing to the buyer. They fib to get the business. I won't be selling anything on ebay I can't fit into the definite price US POSTAL boxes. FedEx promised they'd call to discuss with 48 hours...that was more than a week ago. However, you can make your own copies here. Don't ask for help. You can't afford it. read more

The team at this Kinkos is the best of any Kinkos I have ever used! Their print quality is reliable and excellent. I have worked the most with David, Adam and Genevieve and highly recommend them :) A while back, an order wasn't ready on time and David personally drove and delivered it to my business. I will never forget that. They are certainly some of the most enjoyable people to do business with on the peninsula. So first for whatever reason they refused the Fedex delivery on Saturday over Memorial Day weekend, and my package arrived one day late. Got there Tuesday evening... I understand this one is on me but shortened hour and I missed it by a few minutes. Next day got there 10 minutes before closing and was told the customer they are serving now is the last customer of the night. I was finally able to pick it up the third visit. I used to use this location as my pickup spot because it's convenient around my work hours, but now I have to think twice before redirecting my packages. read more

I read the mixed reviews and had a little apprehension about using this location. No need at all, they are excellent! I needed a custom sign made and my back was against the wall on a tight deadline. I called and spoke to Dustin who was extremely knowlegable on the product line and took plenty of time explaining my options and suggesting solutions. When I placed the order my call was handled by Cecilio...this guy totally rocks! Not only did he have the patience of a saint answering my myriad of questions but he made the extra effort in working with my design to give me the best results. He turned the order around in lightening speed and the finished product was better than I'd hoped for. When I arrived at the store to pick up the sign the floor staff were friendly and attentive. I had a very simple task of scanning, cropping and adding text to a photo. I can do this simple task at home with a basic computer and scanner but my system is down at the moment. I also needed this file to be a jpeg format and more than 750 kb. Pretty simple task right ? Adam took my order and said he would call when it was done in 24 hours. After 24 hours had passed I called and Adam said it was done. When I arrived he was busy with another customer so Susanna helped me. Both the kb size and format were wrong. Adam being less than 6 ft away helping another customer didn't pay any attention to the struggle Susanna was having with my simple request. When Adams customer left he continued to ignore the problem. As Susanna finally was able to complete the task I paid $35 and started to leave. I walked about 20 feet away and realized I forgot one paper. As I turned around I noticed Adam was talking to Susanna about my simple task that he and or someone else had screwed up. I approached the desk and Adam still had nothing to say. There's to many other shops in town to handle a very basic task like this. read more

I have been using this FedEx long before it before it was even a FedEx. I had spent many long nights working on projects here, but after today I'm not sure I shall ever return. I came in today to use the computer stations to use the adobe suite to make a going away poster for my boss. First thing I noticed was that all but 2 of the computers were non functional. There was no one using them, so could have been worse. I finish my poster, save it to my flash drive, and head up to the counter to have it printed. Behind the counter stood a heavy set woman sipping starbucks and shuffling papers. I asked to have my project printed and she said it would be 48 hours since there were so far behind. I said I didn't need anything special, regular paper is fine and you guys had done this for me in the past and it took all of 5 minutes to get it printed. She stone walled me and said 48 hours and to try the other FedEx in seaside if i needed it today. Called seaside and said they could do it no problem, headed over in rush hour traffic, and learned something interesting. The clerk there explained to me that all I had to do was use the oversized printing station and it was as simple as plugging my flash drive into it(which the Monterey location has). So either the heavy set woman in Monterey was either lying to me, didn't care, or was to lazy to get out from behind the counter. Drive an extra 5 miles and use the Seaside location. read more
