Absolutely phenomenal experience at the FedEx Office on Vista Way (at El Camino Real)! I came in to help my elderly neighbor shred a massive amount of old documents -- we're talking 159 lbs of paper! I wasn't sure how this was going to work, but the assistant manager was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating from the moment we walked in. He let me take all the time I needed to sort and prep everything, never rushed us, and even checked in to make sure we were doing okay. His positive attitude made what could have been a stressful chore feel easy and almost fun. This guy went so far above and beyond that I honestly can't thank him enough. Everyone working there was friendly, but the assistant manager truly made the visit exceptional. I came in the evening to print a flyer for Mother's Day. My printing job was an 11 x 17 and when I walked in it was empty so it seems like a good time to come in. I immediately walked up to the service printing Counter where the registers are located. I was greeted and I explained my printing job to the sales associate. She was kind and respectful and helped me print out what I needed to print in five minutes I was ready to check out and head out. Overall the print job came out great. Based my experience I would say that the confusion with prices comes with the service . FedEx office offers two different printing services... They offer self serve printing and service printing. Basically the difference is the staff can take your item and print it for you. Or you go to the machine and basically figure it out on your own. My flyer was supposed to cost me $1.52 if I did it on my own, But since it looked a little too complicated for me before closing and I asked a staff member to print it for me... they added a service charge which went up to $4.70. Any other day I would take the time and figure it out on my own. I do think it is a bit excessive for FedEx to add a service charge for them to basically provide customer service. It's kind of like you're basically paying for their time. I know there's some people that would probably come in and be confused on how to operate the machine and figure out the dimensions of how they want to print their order out. I had an odd sized item to ship which I sold on ebay and couldn't find a box that would work anywhere. I ended up cutting down a box and it required a lot of taping and I decided to take it to FedEx to see if they would even ship it before taping it some more. The guy said no problem, they would tape it up. I said but I haven't even taped on the shipping label. No problem, they would do it. I said great, thanks and walked out. Then I thought okay, no one I've ever shipped with has ever been this helpful and walked back in and said I just wanted to make sure, you know I didn't finish taping the box up? And he said no worries, we're taping it up right now and pointed at some employees who were hard at work taping it up! read more

My fiancé and I made all our own save the dates, menus, and welcome cards for our wedding and Artie and Mike helped us so much with formatting, printing, and getting the best price for all of our projects. We had issues submitting projects online and the guys helped us figure everything out in person. Low value workers should be transferred to roles where they do not have to do something they cannot be competent at. That's all. It's simple. It makes sense. The keyboards were broken and we had already been charged for using the computers. I asked for employee assistance, and my wife said "Hey, you should have signs on the saying they're broken." Employee responded back and said "well, we didn't know that one was broken so--" I used to rely on this place whenever I had a project or if my printer was broken. My husband asked for assistance and the girl said "oh we've been having issues lately, those other ones are broken too" as she points to other pc's. I've been using this business since my college days (when they were Kinko's, open 24 hours and I would need to print files in the odd hours of the night!). Thinking back, I actually owned a printer, but between technical difficulties and always needing ink, it was easier to come here. In the summer, they made some fantastic suggestions for how to present my résumé, and are always helpful... unlike the Vista location, where they were flat-out rude to me and had a 'figure it out yourself' attitude regarding their print-and-go setup. Here, they're always ready to assist me, and even walked me through how to use the self-serve kiosks for simple print jobs. Flash forward to this weekend, and I used my credit card at a kiosk... I usually use cash. I noticed the pending charge on a few dollars was 10$ on my mobile app- I was ready to dispute it based on integrity even though yeah, it's a small amount. When the charge went through, it dropped back down. So, just a heads up on how they process credit cards. Overall, I absolutely love this location. Everyone working here is very friendly and provides great service. They take their time and make each customer feel like they're the only one there. That's great for the actual customer whom they are helping, but it creates a long wait when they have more customers than employees. As long as you're not in a rush, it's great. They have self-service printers if you need to print something (like those annoying Amazon returns that sometimes require printing rather than the QR code). It's $0.15 per page plus tax for black and white copies. Email the pages you want to print as an attachment to printandgo@fedex.com (you can do this ahead of time too) and you'll get a reply back with a retrieval code to enter at the self-service printer. The employees at this shop are such horrible people. Totally incompetent and then rude on top of it. They've been rude and unhelpful the couple of times I've been there. The last time I was there, the three guys in the printing area were talking negatively about women's looks (celebrities) which is laughable coming from such mediocre (and that's generous) "men." The manager said nothing! The large, elderly man at the shipping area was super rude to a customer (a middle aged woman) yelling at her for touching her own package! It was appalling the way he was speaking to her! For sure only b/c she was a white woman and he an African American man. I think it was his first day there. He couldn't find her package, wasn't wearing a uniform or name tag. There's also a really rude large woman that works at the shipping area too. Steer clear of this place. Go to UPS on ECR near Sprouts (they're nice there) or just the post office. The service here is atrocious. I'm never returning. read more

I scanned in and dropped a package in their drop off today and then received a call a few hours later saying that they would "absolutely not" ship it given how poorly the item was packaged. I was told I needed to come back to the store and repackage it (in a very condescending way, with a very rude tone). This item was a cotton long sleeve jacket being exchanged for a different size. On the company's website, they suggested using original packaging to mail the item back to avoid unnecessary waste. That packaging from the retailer was a simple plastic bag, so I put it back in this bag and additionally used a thick paper bag and packaging tape to add another layer of protection for the item (similar to Amazon's packaging). The Assistant Manager, Clinton, was there to help when I arrived. I honestly expected for him to say it was unnecessary for me to repackage the item given all the facts, but instead he was extremely condescending himself. I then showed him the VERY sturdy, brand new, perfectly sized cardboard box I brought as a replacement and he scoffed and said it still was unsatisfactory because I didn't have adequate cushioning of the item within the box (which was not much bigger than the item). I suggested that I could use the prior packaging to serve as additional in-box protection and he said it was still insufficient but that they would be willing to assist me this one time (the way in which this was offered- tone, body language, wording- all extremely disheartening). Every time I offered a solution, it seemed that it was his primary goal to discredit it- not a great trait for a leader to have. My friend was with me for my 2nd visit and was just as shocked as I was about the entire interaction. I'm not sure if they are frustrated by the limited amount of shipping material sales they are doing by accepting prepaid return shipping labels from retailers, so this is their way of up'ing sales? That's the only explanation I can imagine. I hope my package gets back to the retailer. I can't believe I am writing a one-star review for a Fed Ex. read more

I have been going here for years. I have sent thousands of packages through this place which represents hundreds of thousands of dollars in gear. I really like the employees we have great interactions usually. Today a woman who has never helped me before named CAS, her name TAG said CASSANDRA decided the box I used which I have sent thousands of products at that location is to thin and does not meet the shipping standards and wouldn't accept the package. The box in question literally says SHIPPING BOX on it. As a veteran small business owner going though tough times closing down my shop this really frustrated me and forced me to drive miles away and waste time and money just to ship it at another fed ex location with no issues at all. Not happy at all and felt completely frustrated with this. After reading other yelp reviews also mentioning CAS with horrible customer service I am not surprised but extremely frustrated that this happened. read more

My visit was to have invitations printed out my daughter had put together. I walked in and explained to Carmella I had no idea where to start and that I would need assistance. With the manager Ron nearby he was able to answer a couple of questions that I had. He gave me a couple of paper options and after selection one the production was on. While the manager was working on that I had asked another employee, Mike if he could point me in the direction for something I needed since he was working on something at the computer. But he quickly finished what he was doing and kindly walked me to the area. I could say this was a quick and pleasant experience. I was fortunate that the place wasn't flooded with people since I was on a time crunch. This was also a convenient spot since I was already in the area. I would definitely consider this location knowing the customer service was outstanding. read more

Every time I need to ship something, this is my Go To place. They are always so friendly and efficient and they call me "miss" which I'm old enough to not get that ever anymore. Its kind of like when you stop getting carded for liquor and you know the store policy is to card if you look younger than 35, so you're like "ok, I get it, no offense taken." So easy to return all our AT&T hardware here this weekend. And while I was here, I never realized they had so many hilarious greeting cards and gifts. It's not just shipping supplies anymore. The staff said that since their store is so large, other stores send their clearance here that they can't get rid of, so the clearance section here is really big. They are just gearing up for the crazy Christmas/Holiday shipping period. Don't forget to plan ahead and ship stuff early!! And if you don't (like I won't, let's be honest) then take your patience pills and realize everyone else is in the same boat. No reason to lose your shit! That's my new motto. This is not the kind of business where they are herding you through, they take their time offer solid options and always come up with the most affordable way to ship my items whether big or small. I have to say I prefer them way over UPS and USPS, I've even made them my last stop of a day of errands after I have been to the Post office or dropped amazon returns at UPS. They are just that good! I am here to sing my praises about Felix (of the Vista Way location) and Alex (of the Hacienda location). Both of these individuals are truly and incredibly extraordinary. Fed Ex Office Print and Ship Centers should know that they are overwhelmingly lucky to have these folks on their team working for their company. THEY DESERVE ALL THE BIG BIG RAISES without any question or hesitation. Our firm recently had last minute, very rushed, VERY large orders that needed to get done. This is the nature of court documents during trial. Tensions and anxiety were high for us. But Felix and Alex made sure to pay attention to detail, listened to our requests, worked several hours diligently on the projects, and provided not one single complaint or issue. They were HAPPY to help, happy to assist us in our vision, and they were happy to join forces. We could not have started our current trial without them. Our orders were for over 10,000 pages - yes you read that correctly TEN THOUSAND PAGES. We needed them done in less than two days. Their work ethic is what runs FedEx - and I hope FedEx values these employees ten fold. They are each SO integral to the operation. Felix understood so much of the technology that he was working with and truly made sure to convert files exactly how we needed them. There were hundreds of files that he worked with. His skillset is seriously freaking incredible. Without him, we could not have done this. Without Felix, Fed Ex could not be what it is. Alex effortlessly and genuinely saw what felt impossible, and eased all my worries by assuring me that she would help get the job done. She took a last minute order and worked WONDERS. Her empathy, understanding and emotional labor in easing all my worries is truly priceless. Without Alex, Fed Ex could not be what it is. Fed Ex, I say this with a large wide open heart: in a world where there are many jobs and many careers to offer, I hope you understand that there are not many Felix's and Alex's. Worst employees! Specifically a guy with long dark hair in a pony. My husband came in to get his passport renewed and PAYED them $300 for it to be processed and expedited then went to the post office to finish submitting it. Long story short the passport office said they had no record of payment so he has to pay AGAIN. Went back to fedex and the man was unhelpful and rude. Not our fault they can't figure out their own system. We ended up having to report it as fraud because they could not help us it's beyond me how someone can take money from a customer NOT DO A SERVICE then expect to keep their money! Lastly I go there every few weeks to pick up packages and print things for work. He has helped me a few times and is always as unhelpful as he can be, honestly not sure why he works there because it seems like he hates it. Always unprofessional rude and tries to brush you off. Received great service and in a timely manner. Parked right at the door on a Thursday afternoon and got some posters/ pictures printed and I received superior service by Ashlie. She was polite and kind and very knowledgeable about the different services and offers that I can use. They normally have a 24h wait for pick up but due to some scheduling issues from my side, she was able to squeeze me in and it was done in 3-4hs. Even 2,5h before my initial pick up time frame. Great price and great customer service. In addition, they fitted my frames with the pictures/ posters and I was able to leave the frames there for them to make all needed adjustments. I called one day ahead and was able to get all my answers to what I needed and got a great advice: just bring the frames with you and we will fit them in!! And I went with a 36x24 frame in and more frames to make sure they get it in correctly. That was such a great advise! read more

I've been here a few times and every time I had no problems with the staff. The store is very open, well organized and clean for the most part. The last time I came here I was making some business cards. So I had to use their computers and the staff was very helpful by showing me all my options. It was very easy to use and they had a ton of different types of cards with a whole lot of designs. If I need anything from a Kinko's I will definitely come back here because they are open 24/7, the staff is pretty friendly and the prices are decent. read more

While I feel as if every Kinkos is understaffed, this location knows to work with what they got. Despite being full of people, I impatiently asked for help in the print and design center because I was in a rush to print out some bank pdf documents over the weekend. I was impressed that even though one worker was busy, she still had the smarts and courtesy to ask her coworker to help me when they were free. Her coworker helped me after quickly finishing with another customer. The original employee whom I asked for help then made sure I was assisted and did not need further help. Because I probably only visit kinkos one time a year to print out random documents I forget to accomplish at work, I had a hard time navigating my way through the procedures of converting my physical papers to pdf files. As a result, I kept incurring charges for my mistakes. Gratefully, customer service was able to refund me for those mistakes. Parking is simple in this strip mall. read more
