An employee left the store to come yell at me in the parking lot before I could enter, my first time ever being there. I mean quite literally screaming. I would not recommend going to this location, I believe it was the manager and there are substantial reports of inappropriate and combative behavior from him. The staff was disgruntled. My box was only half filled. They told me that they had to charge me to stuff it with packing stuff so that a box didn't sit on top and crush it? Which did not make any sense. They charged me five dollars for some paper. The security guy in the parking lot was obnoxious. It's very stressful to park in their lot anyway and it's easy to clog traffic at that intersection. He was not helping at all. He micromanaged every single thing I did. It took me longer to park than it did to drop off my overpriced package. If parking is going to be that controlled get some valet. read more

I've had very mixed experiences at this location. When I've needed to do simple things such as fax and pay the staff is friendly enough. There was another time I visited to print out New Year's cards and they insisted they never printed in that size although I had done it last year there. The manager even jumped in to confirm that didn't EVER print A6 size. After going home to check on the website I was able to order them online to be printed at that same store. On another occasion I was scanning and emailing an assignment to a professor and I was able to figure out the interface better than the employee trying to assist me. She was friendly enough but not helpful. I've never had a bad enough experience to avoid the store and will still frequent them since it's so convenient to my location. It seems the staff can use a good deal more training. read more

He actively lies about Fed Ex rates and costs, and will insure that you pay the most money POSSIBLE to ship whatever you're shipping. Very poor customer service. Most of the people in this office seem either to dislike people or dislike their job, and treat their customers accordingly. Not bad if you're just buying office supplies or maybe dropping off a perfectly prepared package. If you have a question about tech or print services, or packing a shipment, be prepared not to be treated very nicely. The manager is so rude and arrogant that it's uncomfortable even to be in there; he seems to consider it an inconvenience to have customers walk through the door and seems to think we are all giant ignoramuses. It was the worst experience I have ever had. The manager was rude from the moment I stepped in the door. I traveled 6 miles for him to tell me I couldn't return a package in the same box the way the manufacturer shipped it to me. He stated that the package would get crushed. Well, I was shipping back the same way I received it- the only difference was the return shipping label. He stated that they could correct it by charging me to fix it. Really, I'm shipping back a product delivered to me by FedEx the same way I received. If the shipping box did not meet the standard with me. The manager refused to receive a package because it was too large, which I can completely understand. However, instead of being proactive and letting me know, FedEx just kept delaying delivery daily. It took me two trips to the store and 3 calls to customer service to figure this out. It took another 4 calls to figure out what to do, which is to try to ship it to another store and hope they receive it. All in, I'm $205 in shipping costs and 90 minutes of wasted time resolving this. I can respect staff wanting to avoid lifting heavy or large items, if that was why the package was refused, but it was not handled well. read more

This location is A NIGHTMARE! For some reason they will not let you ship a boxed item, they insist on packing it themselves, and charging you about $50 for the service you don't need. Am I going to trust someone who can't even speak politely to a customer which $700 worth of electronics? They didn't even know what an anti static bracelet is! So, I took it to the post office down the street. They were friendly and helpful and let me ship it as it was- already packed. So no extra charge for unnecessary packing. read more

Quick convenient service when I need to send in paperwork for my accounts or when dropping of tickets I've sold online. Seriously it just takes minutes. I give them my invoices, they hand me an envelope, I fill it, get my receipt and off I go. The guys are always super nice and anxious to help. Note: Parking can be a pain! I'm not sure why these people bother to be in the shipping business, or any business at all. The manager, Gary, is one of those petty tyrants who has no real power so he enjoys being dictatorial when he can. I'm fully masked (and vaxxed) and my N95 mask is more effective than his little black cotton mask, but his power move is to tell every customer to STEP BACK FROM THE COUNTER. This is while also being told to step up to the counter to sign off on details of the shipment. I finally pointed out that a sign on his counter would help to remind people; his retort was that there was a sign on the DOOR. Yes, the door, where I had to juggle three boxes in order to open it, while their security guard had just watched me pull up, get out of my car, move the orange cone keeping anyone except their customers -- like me -- pull into the spot, then pull out my boxes and head for the door. The guard's comment when I finally made it into their store was, "I didn't know you were going to park there!" Yeah, the whole thing with the car and the cone was misdirection. I have puzzled over the Forbes-and-Shady FedEx location for years. It's in the thick of an impossibly pleasant neighborhood, but they are at best surly and at worst downright rude. There's always some hitch. THIS isn't packaged right or stand six more inches in THAT direction. If you reason with them calmly, you can overcome some things, but they're openly resentful about giving you what you need. All I can figure is that it must be a terrible, terrible place to work. The employees slouch despondently around, looking up only to be snarky with anyone who dares come through the doors. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

This store front is tiny but very well staffed! There are always several employees there to help. I usually go to make copies, and they have pretty nice self serve copy machines. The only problem with this place is the terrible parking situation. They have a spot reserved for customers but it is always full and that parking lot is just the worst parking lot in Pittsburgh. I was at this location recently and I was helped by an employee named Gary. He was very rude and acted like me coming into the store was an huge inconvenience. I brought a box with a prepaid label into the store and he would not accept it as the label was on the side of the box instead of the top. I asked him if he could reprint the label for me and he told me he would not reprint it without charging me for it. He was very unhelpful and I ended up leaving for another location. Sent in something to have printed. Was called right back and said they couldn't do it because of copyright and the gentleman was extremely rude. I said I already paid and he said no you didn't because I canceled it. I look at my PNC statement and it shows a pending charge, I call back and he's like yea it's pending. Had to ask him for his name 4 times in case this charge didn't come off and then was told that he didn't like my attitude. Needless to say I won't return for anything in the future.
