I usually do business with Altex as they are fast, professional, and have reasonable pricing. In the future, I will continue to do business with Altex. I brought my laptop in after initially diagnosing it myself as a burned out motherboard. I told the college-aged intern at the receptionist desk what I believed it to be and he told me they charged a $50 diagnostic fee to identify problems but that it would be used towards labor should it come to that. I told him I really just needed them to locate the motherboard and do the replacement as I have a lack of time. He noted this and I left. About two days later I got a call informing me that my diagnosis was correct and that they could not locate a replacement from a reliable source. They would help me "find a replacement laptop" or I could buy a motherboard from a wholesaler in China, but the business would not undertake the risk, as they often could not reliably get a refund for faulty parts from factories in Shenzhen. As a similar laptop would cost upwards of $1200, I chose to take my risks but ordering a $100 motherboard from China. Two weeks later, the motherboard came in. I delivered it in the box to the repair company. They called me once to say "everything's great! Come pick it up" and then again to say "the motherboard is blown" within about 30 minutes. I went to go find out what happened on my lunch break. I was able to talk to the tech that installed the motherboard who confirmed that it was DOA (dead on arrival). Unfortunately, they did not test it with a voltmeter prior to installing and charged me TWO HOURS OF LABOR. At this point, I am now ~$250 in the hole for a laptop that still does not work. I asked for a manager, and was presented with the lady who initially advised me on my choices. Please note, at this time, I was also in the process of building a laptop via Altex's knowledgable staff. They walked me through the entire process, from picking out parts, to assembly (and they do assembly free should you buy parts there). Extraordinarily professional all around. However, the manager not only initially refused to use my diagnostic fee towards labor (until I told her this is what I was told), she also denied that she advised me that I had "two options" with them. This made me so upset I refused to pay, and left. I consulted my mother, who desperately wanted photos left on the hard drive and said she would pay for the laptop back, so I returned to the store and began paying. As I was in the process of paying, I chatted up the tech who advised me I "should have contacted the original manufacturer to purchase a motherboard. Why did the repair shop not do this themselves. I asked Altex and they said this would have been their first point of contact. I have since disassembled my laptop and had the hard drives installed in my desktop AT NO CHARGE via Altex. Tldr: shady company. Seems manager doesn't know how the industry works. For a comparable price, go to Altex for your hardware needs.

This has always been a problem of ours, since we could not just give out the password to every resident in our 50 space park. While some residents got their own satellite internet, we still had others who only wanted to check their email on occasion and Unified Internet has helped us to offer that amenity. The initial survey that David came out and did was quick and easy. He sent us a great synopsis of what needed to be done next and the price for installation. We set up our own J-mounts where he requested and made sure that a basic electrical outlet was nearby. We then ran a Cat-5 cable from the J-mount to the outlet. After that, our work was done. David came in and got everything else set up in one day. The only reason that I am not putting 5 stars, is not necessarily the fault of Unified Internet, but rather the issues we have with providing internet to the entire RV Park. We have very limited bandwidth where our park is located and it was not until after the installation and set up that we realized how much slower our internet became in our office. To be honest, it does cause us some issues, but if you are in an area where limited bandwidth is not an issue, definitely look to Unified Internet for your RV Park Wi-Fi needs. We are now able to offer basic WiFi to all of our residents for a low cost and the best part is, Unified Internet handles everything, including customer service and troubleshooting for those that use the WiFi!

Horrible signs! They don't back their work. They sold us & installed 2 signs that looked very dull…read moreand washed out. Paid around $3800. This amount did not include the actual face of the sign because they were just applying graphics to the acrylic signs that were already on the building and signage on the business signs out front. We were told they looked dull because of the lighting behind them. So we were trying to get the lighting fixed. Found out it was not the lighting behind them. Asked them to fix the signs so they're not dull and washed out because you can barely see them and it was not the lighting. They blamed it on the graphics file we sent them because it was a photo file, but they never asked us for a different file. The first time we heard about a problem with the file was yesterday when we asked them to fix the signs because it was not a problem with the lighting. They said they needed an AI or eps file. I had both types of files that I could've gave them if they had informed me the first time that they needed them. They said it was $2,117.41 to fix their crappy work. Definitely go somewhere else.
