This Fedex location is the worst. They put your package on their delivery truck and drive it right past your for 2 days but will not deliver it early. That way u cannot even pick it up yourself even if it is in the AREA!!! This is worse than USPS! I'm closing my Fedex Business Account. They do not deserve your business. read more

Don't listen to the reviews about home delivery issues. This is a great community drop off center. It's fast, easy and the people who work here are awesome. They provide excellent customer service and are nice and friendly. They always say hello and ask how I am doing. If I could give negative stars I would. This now makes 3 items delivered to someone else and one that arrived so badly damaged I had to return it for another using a different shipper. I called FedEx today and was told that because it was FedEx home it was MY responsibility to contact the shipper so that they could contact FedEx to find my package. Totally unsat policy. I'm guessing they cannot contact the driver (UPS can and does) to have them correct the issue. Both times before there was no response from FedEx on my items and I don't expect them to do any better this time. I will never use FedEx personally and wish anyone I deal with doesn't either. HORRIBLE!! Shipped an order to a customer using my eBay account. Paid for indirect signature, customer left door tag, driver stated no door tag left. FedEx would only allow one place to have the customer pick up the package, which was 60 - 80 minutes away!!! Called after the 3 attempts, and not wanting to make my customer drive 60 - 80 mins to pick up the package, I agreed to pay $15 to change the address. After 3 days, I was notified package can not go to new address and was being returned to me. MY CUSTOMER is pissed, thanks FedEx. First one star review, this has been mess!! read more

I'm so glad I called this facility. I needed help with a package being delivered to my house and I thought it would be more convenient to chat with an online rep but I was wrong. The rep made it seem like there was no other way for me to get the package and since I have a very busy schedule this week, it started to stress me out. So I looked up the # for the pick up facility in Carlsbad and I spoke with Gabe (I think that's his name). My medical related package was supposed to be delivered by 10:30am yesterday but not being delivered still today. They lied that they attempted delivery when in fact I have been waiting at my office but no one show up. I understand the covid-19 and holiday situation for delays. So this is the second time FedEx said they couldn't deliver my package because I wasn't home..however BOTH times I was was home. I live in a small condo, if you knock on the door, you hear it through out the entire place. AND I have a dog, he goes crazy every time someone knocks, so if the driver did knock, my dog would have let me know immediately. I don't think they even tried to deliver it. I've had missed Fed Ex deliveries twice when I felt it would be better to go to the ship center and pick up the package. I can get it the same day and not have to worry that my family will be out of the house at same time the package shows up. Staff was pleasant and efficient both times. If you have the door tag, all you have to do is drive there and they will give you your package. (I don't think I've ever tried calling first. These gorillas lost an expensive item that I ordered, not delivered things by losing their tracking, or delivered them to the wrong address, and placed packages in the least obvious place on my large property. In fact, I had them investigated by the feds when they lost an expensive item. Fedex uses a subcontracted delivery service in my area that employs individuals using their private cars without uniforms or proper training! Like pizza delivery morons handling your precious goods! I ordered an almost $400 watch for my boyfriend, the day it was set to arrive I stayed at home all day because it was Christmas Eve and I wanted to make sure I got it, at 2:14 it said delivered but I checked my front door where it said it was delivered to and it wasn't not. I also checked my mail box and it was not there, I asked my neighbors and they didn't get anything. When I made a claim all I got was "the driver can't confirm where he delivered it to so you'll have to take it to the original company".....so basically "sorry not sorry". I thought I better sign it and hang it on the door in case it is for me. It said they would do 3 attempts. Well the next day I saw the Fed ex truck drive right by so I assumed the note wasn't for me. CAUTION! This FedEx is an EXPRESS Center! You can drop-off your package here, but they will NOT accept a "Pick-up" to Distribution center for heavy crates. We "dropped off" my very expensive sculpture HUNDRED pound crate to be shipped to NYC. FINE. I requested the RETURN to Carlsbad so I could unpack the sculpture, so I could lift the 45 pound piece out of the crate. Lift the crate empty and drive home. No Problem0 RIGHT?!?!? WRONG! I thought it was so cool to watch the tracking on the website, UNTIL I was shipment DENIED in Carlsbad, then it was going to Oceanside. WTF, yes, I was very upset. The sculpture was driven to Carlsbad, they denied it because Carlsbad is an "EXPRESS DROP OFF". I also learned that the drivers are NOT FEDEX drivers, they are third party!!!!! They don't care. Customer service "800" number said; "oh, sorry we will call you!" I waited SIX HOURS for a phone call. I finally drove to Carlsday and they said; " oh its in Oceanside!" Again wtf. What's in Oceanside??????? A new facility for GROUND PICK UP!! REALLY! NO ONE TOLD ME THAT. Saved by FedEx! Rented a camera for a professional video shoot and the delivery required a signature. I missed the delivery while I was at work, and was under a massive time crunch to get the camera in time for the client's shoot the next morning. An employee at this FedEx center physically found the package and placed it up front on hold so I was assured it would be there ready for me to pick up when the center opened the next morning. 5 star customer service. I received a lithium battery for my electric bike from the manufacture as a warranty replacement via fedex, it shipped all the way from Florida to Carlsbad California, no problem. When I tried to send the original back, including all of the labels and paperwork from the dealership (as it was considered hazardous material), they would not send it. The driver that came to my house to pick up my package was very rude, and when I asked him what his problem was, he started back up the stairs as if to attack me. He then thought again and left. The next day my package was returned to one of my neighbors, apparently you can just randomly deliver hazardous materials to random addresses, but you can't deliver them to the proper address. Un-fucking-believable after an entire day of tracking down my package after the delivery person WAS UNABLE TO PRESS A FUCKING DOOR BELL, I enter the shipping center to be told immediately to "take seat" ass they are too busy to allow me to pick up my package...... If I had ANY SAY in the carrier I would NEVER CHOOSE FED FUCKING EX Update: After waiting 20 minutes for them to deal with the incoming packages (yeah nothing says "your business is important to us" than being dumped to the end of the line) I approached the desk to be told the delivery person would not be back until "around 6PM" this , bearing in mind, is after i was told specifically by the phone center that my package would be waiting for me after 3:30PM... I left the shipping center and returned home for an hour to return at 6:40, they had JUST found my package (if i had waited i would have been there A FUCKING HOUR). so to recap: First delivery failed because the delivery person can't ring a doorbell (i live in a 700sqft apartment not the Wayne fucking manor btw). Second delivery (as told by phone operator) would be at 1:30, my wife left work at 1:10 to get home at 1:20 to receive it only to find another message saying she had missed them by 10 minute because he was there at 1:10... Plenty of parking, easy location off of El Camino. They left a door tag for an important overnight package on my door ( damn! missed the delivery) which indicated I could pick up my package after 6:00 pm ( so awesome that they are open till 7 pm, AND on Saturdays) I stopped by JUST in case it was back from being out for delivery at 5:30, nope it wasnt, but everyone there who had 5:30 on their door tags was got there packages no problem. I knew it was a long shot so no worries, swung back through on Saturday morning, quick and helpful staff got my package super fast and I was on my way! Apparently the driver does not believe in knocking the door rather then just left a "door tag" Tried to pick up a package that for the family on Christmas Eve which contains gifts and was told that they won't able to release it unless the addressee is present. After a video called with the listed "name" family member for verification. The clerk still refuse to release the package and was told it was told by one of his supervisor that it is at HIS DISCRETION to release the package after verification was established. read more

I've been waiting for a packaged that was shipped last Tuesday from El Monte, Ca and it kept being rescheduled for delivery because apparently I need a signature on the package. Well whoever left the sticker on my door RIPPED IT APART and I can't even sign it just to have it left there. So I've been HOME ALL MORNING waiting for him to come so I can sign it since it was rescheduled AGAIN to today, and guess what?! We use these guys a lot for both domestic and international. I can't say much for the Fed Ex / Kinko's locations, but during the fires this main location kept a cool head in regards to my office shipping. The drivers in the North County area were not operating during some of those days (Wildfires 10/20-11/9), but business and residential customers could come into this Fed Ex staffed location and "try" to get their packages out or pick up if they had anything. They also called my office and all their accounts in the area to notify them that they wouldn't be delivering or picking up. As I pulled up to their busy parking lot, people were unloading and loading packages by the truckload hoping the fires couldn't stop them from doing "business as usual". I felt kinda dumb standing in line with my 2 small boxes bound for Baltimore, but I still had to send them. FYI, long distance/express packages are loaded onto the big freight trucks that travel either down the 15 south or the 5 south freeway to San Diego airport. Everyone knows the 15 was closed and the 5 was shut down or reduced for a short period. My important "2 day express" packages for some reason left Tuesday 6:39pm and got there the next morning at 10:00am east coast time. My back of the envelope math puts it at around 13 hours. I don't know how they got through the power outages, freeway closures, and evacuations but they get props for getting it there ahead of schedule. I always drive up to the Fed Ex Carlsbad when I have something too big or heavy to ship via the USPS. This is the actual fedex facility and the rates have been very good for me. You can also save 10% if you get a fedex account. I think they're open until 7pm or so and the last shipment goes out around 5pm M-F. There's plenty of available parking nearby. read more

This review is geared toward a specific individual rather than the business facility as a whole. Major thanks to the courier that cared! I am traveling for work and am lodging in Rhode Island. I bought concert tickets off of Ebay and sent it to a friend back home in San Diego, CA as an early birthday gift. The tickets got delayed about 2 1/2 weeks. So when I finally got the notification that it was in transit, I watched the tracking like a hawk. Unfortunately, my friend wasn't home at the time of delivery and her parents rejected the package because they didn't recognize my last name (the Ebay seller's policy required my name for postage). So the package was taken back to the local facility for pickup (Carlsbad). I went through about 4 or 5 back-and-forth calls to FedEx Customer Service trying to settle pickup of the package. Customer service was very compromising (although very blunt and slightly impatient) and organized for a redelivery the next day. But less than an hour after my phone calls with Customer Service, I get a text from my friend saying that FedEx came by again and redelivered the package THAT DAY! To put in perspective: I ordered the tickets 9/24. Was supposed to be delivered 9/26-9/27. The package arrived 10/16 (one day short of 3 weeks later) and was sent back to the Carlsbad facility. The package was set for redelivery the next day (10/17). The package ended up getting there on 10/16. Thank goodness. Those concert tickets weren't cheap and I had been biting my nails through the being in a different state, the delayed shipping, and the multiple calls to customer service; combined with the worries of sending to the correct address, in general, because it was my first time sending mail to this address. Thank you, friendly courier for relieving me of worry for an extra day. You deserve a raise (sooner than later)! read more

Fedex was supposed to deliver a package with two IPhones and one case from new Verizon order. After finding out we needed a signature, the phones were not delivered the first day and we had to sign the door slip saying to leave package the following day as we could not be home during delivery hours or available to pick up during warehouse hours. Fedex driver dropped the box the following day and did the classic drop and ring. Package was received and the truck was seen driving away by my father in law who lives down the street and was walking over with my son from daycare. After opening the package later on that evening which my father in law had picked up directly as the driver pulled away, both IPhones were missing which left me perplexed. After verifying with Verizon that the phones should have been delivered in the same box, both companies have given me the runaround over a series of at least 10 phone calls and 5 hours of my life I will never get back (not to include this review). Verizon is saying weight on the package was verified prior to shipping out, and Fedex is telling Verizon they have closed their investigation as "package was delivered with a signature". I can only speak to a rep at the Fedex call center and cannot get a supervisor to call me back at any of the sites regarding my case in over a week. I cannot even file a claim online as it says "claim processed" and directs me to the same number I keep having to leave messages on. As of today, I am stuck with a bill for Verizon for $1600, and I have no IPhones and have had to switch back to my previous provider. This is the single most shady operation I have ever dealt with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FEDEX OPERATION OR ANY FEDEX OPERATION IN GENERAL(or Verizon for that matter). It is clear that they would rather get a simple signature to release them from liability and wash their hands of holding their employees accountable. Been coming here for over a decade, about four times a month. Just had the worst experience ever. First of all there was a rapidly growing line out the door. I have pre-labeled boxes and just thought I'd drop them off, and I asked if there was tape. Dude with dreads treated me like I was a nobody trying to beg for tape. Hello, it's me the guy that pays for priority overnight every time. The guy that makes polite talk and always treated you nicely. After 10+ years, I thought we had become acquaintances, but today I did not feel like the customer. He said I gotta buy tape and they can't be giving away tape. His tone totally caught me off guard but with all those people there I didn't want to fuss. I just needed two little strips for my boxes that were priority overnight, but i guess they don't want to be nice, so I will have to buy tape. Customer in front of me is shipping ground and goes to a different lady and asked for tape and she gives him this giant roll from behind the counter, and he uses it like he is in a tape wasting contest, tapes in a long spiral down his rectangular box. He is shipping ground and I'm paying for priority overnight. I think you can afford a couple strips of tape, FedEx. My packages were labeled and ready to go and I could've just dropped them off, instead it delayed me 20+ minutes in this ridiculous line just to pay you $2.50. It prevented me from picking up lunch and bringing it to my sick child before returning to work. So instead I'm at my desk writing this review. All for a stupid ass tape policy that you don't enforce. Thanks for treating me like a valued customer, FedEx. read more

i had a package that was delivered to this location in carlsbad. i called this location and asked them if they had the package and they refused to tell me. they told me i had to call the vendor and ask the vendor if it was delivered. after an hour on the phone with the vendor i found it was already delivered already to this location. THEN i asked the vendor to have them hold the package at this facility because the delivery time did not fit my schedule (i was literally leaving the country and needed this to get to me before i left). the vendor confirmed that fedex would hold the package for me to pick it up the next morning at this location. when i went the next morning to pick it up at this location, the courier had NOT read the notes on the package and it was out for delivery. notes were sent to the courier letting them know it was imperative i get this package asap. the courier came 40 minutes after the time she said she would be here and then when she got here refused to hand me the package bc i was standing outside of my house and copped a huge attitude. apparently its more important to have an attitude at this fedex rather than care about customer service AND the fact that sometimes the package that is out for delivery is EXTREMELY important it is delivered on time. just incredibly rude and incredibly incompetent. read more
