It was 5:32 when I dropped off my FedEx Express envelopes tonight, and the gentleman who helped me stated that if it was out of state, it would go out next day. I asked if there could be an exception, he said nope. At 5:35 pm, a woman walked in with 6 packages that needed to go out for next day. She begged and pleaded for him to please make an exception. I paid for 2 day delivery of an item and it arrived at this location on a Friday, the second day. I called today and tried numerous times to see if I could pick up the package today or Sunday because it was in my city. Literally 10minutes away. When I finally got someone from their customer service to get in contact with them, they told her that they were too busy to take my call. Then they told her the package would be ready on following Monday. I don't claim to know what goes on behind the scenes, but this makes absolutely no sense. If I pay for a 2 day service, why do I have to wait 5 days? I had the exact opposite interaction with a similar situation at a different FedEx location. Due to error, a package was being returned to sender and they literally stopped the truck and allowed me to get my package, where this place refused to give a package that was in their shop. This is not what FedEx claims to stand for. In conclusion, if you have something important being sent to you, I wouldn't recommend you send it to this location. read more

This facility is AWFUL!!! Several Walmart orders I have purchased go through Fed Ex, EVERY SINGLE time Fed Ex messes it up. They can't find the address, UPS and USPS can find it just fine. Fed Ex cannot, then they make promises of the driver returning the same day to deliver it, after they call me, but that does not happen. The worst part is this, you can put the address of the facility (2495 Faraday Ave) in and the address of the recipient (which is on El Camino Real) in Google maps, THEY ARE NOT EVEN A MILE APART!!! Seriously .6 of a mile between the two and they cannot deliver the packages for days because the driver can't find the home. AVOID THIS FACILITY AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

If I could post zero stars I would. Driver out of this location carrying an expensive piece of urgently needed equipment that required signature for delivery literally sped past my house without stopping and then lied about my not being available to sign for it. And then I was told there's no way to track him down (at 3:00 in the afternoon) because he's gone home for the day!! I will never use these lying idiots for my shipping needs. read more

I sold a coffee maker on eBay and wanted to mail via FedEx because on the 19 pound weight. I checked FedEx shipping via my eBay shipping and the cost was $34 dollars. My wife received a coupon from FedEx for 25% off. So we drove to the Carlsbad shipping center and filled out the paper work. Well it was just a bait and switch. The coupon did not apply for my package and the charge was $47. They stated that the way it works. Should have used the eBay shipping and you needed a magnifying glass to read the fine print on the coupon. Yikes! read more

Completely unhelpful. I received a bar code scan email from FedEx to scan at a location and print. This location turned me away without much more than "sorry". No alternatives or reasonable assistance was given. Go to another location or use an alternate shipping method. read more

Exceptional experience. I arrived 30 minutes before this FedEx office was open but the Senior Mgr, Donna Garcia, assisted me. She saw me in the parking lot and asked me if I needed help. I needed to pick up a package before I headed to LA for the day. She walked back to the distribution center and retrieved my package. VIP service. Thank you very much Donna. read more

If you like dealing with incapable people, you will have a field day at the San Diego FeDeX hub at 2495 Faraday Avenue. The workers struggle to understand their own package tracking system. They are so accustomed to making mistakes that they apologize immediately, knowing they they messed up somehow. Customer service is not the focus of the employees at the central San Diego FEDEX processing and distribution facility, and there is rarely a person to accept responsibility. Even the manager at the Faraday Ave location manages a vacant look and a "deer in the headlight" look. If UPS or the U.S. Postal Service are available of your delivery - they are much better choices. read more

I would rate them zero stars if that were possible. After many years of successfully shipping with this facility, they have lost me as a customer. Sold an almost new Surface Pro on eBay and shipped it using this facility. Completed the shipping label on my home computer, packaged the product, and dropped off at this facility. Directly handed it to a man at the counter and spoke with him. Long story short, they never scanned in my package as received, my customer never received the computer, and the package was mysteriously "lost". After four weeks of talking to people at Fedex, including their security people, who claimed that they don't have cameras on the front counter, nor do they have cameras on the parking lot (REALLY? You ship and handle millions of dollars of merchandise every year at this facility and you don't have security cameras, or have them turned on?) Per the security guy's suggestion I filed a claim and submitted all documentation, him giving me the impassion my claim would be approved. They finally came back and denied my claim. No they won't reimburse me for the $415 that I was forced to refund to the customer. Even thought they charged my account for the shipping fee, which included full insurance. Something very suspicious is going on at this facility, and FedEx refuses to take any responsibility. I'll be forced to take them to small claims to get my money back. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! You will be very sorry. Stick to UPS. Brown is better. read more
