Small in size, big in smiles. This is how I see this post office. This was the first time I visited because I had to ship some stuff and I was at Cardiff and I have the packages with me. I was helped promptly and nicely. I asked the person who helped me how long has this post office been there as it looks pretty new and he told me 6 years. It is very a nice building, looking very modern, blending with other businesses This is one of the coolest post offices I have been so far. read more

I opted to come to this postal office as it was on my way to Torrey Pines, and I am amazed at the night and day vs. the post offices in Oceanside. In Oceanside (Brooks St), the workers are seen unhappy and not as welcoming, yet this spot was amazing between the smiling postal workers to even their welcoming tone helping anyone at the counter. I'll definitely return, anytime, I'm in the area during the week vs. Oceanside. read more

The sign says open at 930 but when I came here at 1030 on a Monday, the door was locked and chained up.

I mailed a bill payment (just a regular business size envelope, first class stamp) in the envelope slot INSIDE this post office. It took 19 days to arrive at its Los Angeles destination! I was about to lapse in the auto ins policy so I made a payment online and the day after, the US mail finally arrived so I'm overpaid. I used this post office one time ever and it's the only time I've ever had my US mail take that long. read more

Very unprofessional and immature employees here. I went to mail a USPS envelope, assuming it costs $7.95 as the sign says for it, but the employee said it costs $15.20 to ship. I go back around the corner to check, and hear him say to the other employee "oooh why is it so expensive?" mocking me and laughing TOGETHER at my expense. I simply misunderstood a sign that says in fine print "Starting at $7.95" and was trying to be price sensitive for mailing a package, as the price he quoted was nearly double the price that I expected. It is unbelievable how childish the USPS employees are behind the counter, putting on a happy facade whenever you approach the counter, but mock you as soon as you're out of sight. I will never give them any business again, and hope others consider this as well given their childish behavior. read more

I could not have better things to say about the staff here!! To have the energy of a POST OFFICE always be so positive and kind and fun is a testament itself. The new location is impressively clean with an ideal layout and amenities for all postage needs. But it's the customer service that makes this place 5000 stars. I ship orders for my small business weekly and most of the time and am running in 2minutes before 5pm-that would annoy any and most employees that are ready to close for the day. But not JonJon!!!!! JonJon, Chris, and the other gentleman are so attentive, charismatic, and helpful. I've been coming here for years and they are always keen to help and figure out the best / most cost effective way to do whatever it is you need. Usually you can expect a mundane experience or even dread going to places like the dmv or the post office but I literally look forward to going here every week and seeing the staff. There are simply not words to describe the difference it makes! The line can be long, yes (as is at any post) but seeing the staff be so patient and take the time to help others in front of me (especially the elderly) makes it worth the wait. K. This is the cutest little post office with the nicest postal workers. Russ and Eve have been here for years and they know the locals names which is cool. Makes you feel like you live in a small town. They aren't opened on Saturdays and don't have all the bells and whistles of the larger Post Offices but it has such good energy it make you want to personally post your letters here. read more

They treat you with kindness and don't act like they're more superior than you just because they get to wear a uniform. I spend about 15 minutes in line at this post office. I noticed that the female clerk was making molasses look like an Olympic-class racing prospect. "I hope I don't get that lady," I thought to myself. She was serving one customer while her colleague buzzed through about four or five people. Unfortunately, when she got around to finishing up with her customer, it was my turn. She refused to sell me postage for a priority mail envelope. She had a ton of excuses. I told her that I frequently buy postage for priority mail envelopes, and that I am capable of following all the rules as far as using the correct protocol to drop off a package. Despite my sincere efforts to establish my expertise in this matter, she stalwartly refused to sell me the postage. I then had to wait for the other clerk to make my request. It's a little unorthodox to ask for stamps for a priority mail package but he made it happen. This man, and unfortunately I didn't get his name, is a credit to the United States Postal Service. A hero! The lady clerk probably should have gone into a different line of work. Sadly, she's probably sticking it out for her pension much to the detriment of all the Cardiff post office customers. :-( read more

Maybe I just don't go in very often so I'm not one of the "locals" Went in today to mail a letter. 1 person in line, one being helped and one postal worker. While I'm waiting another postal worker walks in talking and laughing with someone. Tells her to wait at the end of the line and goes behind the counter and calls her up and helps her before me and the other person waiting. Fairly lame. This post office is the antithesis of going postal. While most post office experiences are not unlike the crusty ol' DMV, Cardiff is the "Cheers" of POs. The guys are super friendly (always excited for me when I have a package) and I always feel very taken care of. There's a sweet, small-town vibe just like the rest of our lovely Cardiff.
