This Fedex location is one of the main pickup spot for all of the Fedex trucks. Each time I have come to this location I have been very pleased with the service. Today there were a few people in line, but with the holidays that is to be expected. When I made it to the counter, Barbara was the Fedex employee helping me. She was very helpful and made the mailing process as pain free as possible. I did inquire as to when the package might me delivered to Florida. Barbara said probably within five days but that they would not leave a ground package at a closed location. I was shipping to an elementary school so I wanted to make sure it was delivered during school hours. Barbara assured me the package would be delivered when the school was open. With respect to times, I think I took longer taping this package up for shipment, than the waiting in line and finishing my transaction. Ordinarily I ship from a Fedex nearer my home, but the parking at the New Hyde Park location was a nightmare today. The Garden City location is more industrial and has plenty of parking. read more

This FedEx Company Customer services is pulling to Zero Level !!! Not even to the one star that I gave them !!! They don't know at all what is Customer services !!! (1) the shipping company telling you a time that you need to expect to the Delivery , so The FedEx Company service people ? expect that the people who are waiting to the package Delivery by signing only , and of course don't know when / what timer exactly the FedEx Delivery person will come !!! So they expect you to stay home for the whole week of the delivery time !!! Like in your own jail house !!! So I can't allow myself that pleasure to stay home the whole week without working , so what they do ? They come at Noon time , to the houses !!! And of course that Everyone in the world is working at noon time !!! So they repeat the delivery three times around midday or early after noon , and when no one is answering the door bell they just leave the place without delivering the package !!! (2) I don't know if the shipping companies are laying to their customers ? But this time I'm sure that the Embassy agents wouldn't lie about it , they told me specifically that the FedEx agent will call me before / when they deliver the package !!! My Passport in this case !!! But no one is calling you and nothing , they coming in times that the people working , not calling you and nothing !!! But they charge the money for it , I would say Stilling the people's money in this way !!! (3) you calling to the customer services ? And suddenly answering the phone call some agent from that eastern Indian countries !!! And you can't understand a word of what they talking in English !!! And they are getting inpatient and disconcerting the phone in you face !!! The FedEx driver lied about his attempted delivery. I took the day off work to stay home since my very expensive express package required a signature. I waited all day and then suddenly got a notification that the delivery driver "attempted" to make a delivery and missed me. This was a total lie and he didn't even make the effort nor attempt to do his job (which he's paid to do). I had to go to the shipping center myself to pick up my package. What's the point of paying for express shipping and delivery if FedEx can't hold up their end of a deal? Oh and coincidentally, all the truck drivers were still on their route making deliveries when I went to the shipping center at 630pm - all except one driver. Guess which driver came in early so he could go home earlier? The guy who was supposed to deliver my package. I don't get many items shipped by FedEx because I think their service is terrible. Occasionally the shipper requires FedEx service because that is their preferred shipper. Once again my local delivery person for FedEx has delivered my package to the wrong location. She did the same thing last time I was waiting for an overnight package. She has one job to do and doesn't seem to have the skillset to perform that function. When you try to contact FedEx shipping via phone you have to fight the AI "assistant" to speak to a human and then you get a representative from the Philippines. They are veery difficult to understand. Don't even try to talk to a local Customer Service Supervisor. It is easier to speak to Oz. I'm still waiting since Saturday for a call back from a local supervisor. Its Monday. read more

This courier is the worst! Been waiting 3 days for a " scheduled " delivery. When I call ( multiple times) they actually confirm I'm getting the delivery that day. Never comes. It's a 5 lb. Walked in, 2 people in front of me, within 10 minutes, 2 people behind me. No FedEx employees in sight. A FedEx employee finally comes from the back room, and after 15 minutes, it's my turn. I was told their scanner does not read QR codes, which is what I had for my FedEx return. I was sent to another FedEx store to be helped. What an inept FedEx store. This is a place one would least like to go because they always only have one person working the register. If there's a line, forget it.... you'll be lucky if you only have to wait thirty minutes. Every time I go, I'm waiting for at least thirty minutes to ship a packet or package. Usually my ordeals are quick and easy because all of the information is entered/labeled and sealed. The non-consistent customers are the worst. It's not their fault though. FedEx in that location doesn't make it easier for customers. There's a tiny table where one can fill their boxes/envelopes and label things accordingly. There are five registers if I remember correctly..... why??? If no one is there. There are some days when everyone is in the back office and no one is at the register and I'm forced to wait when there's no line. I get split deliveries between here (Garden City) and Maspeth and I never have an issue with packages coming from Maspeth. As for Garden City, they really need to fix their lies about attempted deliveries. I ordered things overnight shipping and for the past three days they have been saying "They have attempted it, but no one was at home". I work from home, and I have video surveillance running 24/7. Unless Fedex has some new technology that makes themselves invisible, no delivery was ever made. This place is a joke and needs to be closed down. read more

Horrible service... I waited all day for my package to be delivered to find out the driver lied and said he attempted delivery but clearly didn't. I then called customer service and they put me through to the manager of the Garden City location who instructed me to hurry in by 7:45 pm to physically pick my package up. I arrive and was told that my package was still out and that I could wait until the driver returned. The person at the counter insisted that I has to wait outside and she would bring the box out. If you want to be extremely frustrated and annoyed, fed ex in garden city is the place for you. I didn't hear fed ex knock on the door, so they left with my package. The online tracking told me my package would be ready for pickup after 3:30. I showed up at 5:00. There was one person working the counter who was barely audible (which is awesome considering the masks make it even harder to hear one another). She told me the truck wasn't back yet and then stared at me (This is after I asked her to repeat herself 3 times because I couldn't hear her whispers). I asked what my options were and she mumbled that I could wait. When I asked how long, she shrugged her shoulders. I then became agitated and barked another question at her. I come here because I am a design student and since this is the only 24/hr fed ex near me I have to.. the night shift workers are normally the nicest but the day time workers are extremely rude. I have had numerous interactions here where staff has had an attitude with me. Normally I come with my mother here and they are less rude, but since I'm a student they normally don't want to give me the time of day. If you need help with whatever your doing I suggest you don't come here, they are little to no help or give you an issue for asking them for assistance. I came to this location to drop off a prepaid package. There were two people at the registers, one of them which was his first day there. They apparently did not train him before starting work because he knew absolutely nothing and looked lost. Every question he had, he left the register to ask his coworker. He then proceeds to ask her questions completely unrelated to the package meanwhile there is 6 people waiting online. I went to print out documents, I was however only able to print a single page. I went to use the self-serve printers with a retrieval code, I was charged repeatedly but with nothing coming out of the printers. The workers move at a snail pace and no one helped me. If one person is in front of you in line it shouldn't take 25 minutes to ask a question. Exasperated I ended up leaving, I also didn't appreciate the workers being amused that I was having an issue. I wasn't having some crazy customer fit, but was rather moving from printer to printer while getting repeatedly charged-found amusing apparently all the same. So annoyed about my experience. I went to this fedex ship center. As I enter I see there people ahead of me in line. So I am there patiently waiting as customer service worker is taken care of the other customers. I waited for about 12 minutes. Soon after I see lady which ends up being a customer come out the back. I continue to wait. The customer that comes out the back waits behind me. Finally after some time the customers ahead are done. The fedex worker said who is next which was obviously me. The lady behind me says I was here just using the bathroom. Now let me remind you. I already waited 12 mins before she came out the bathroom in the back. The fedex worker and the lady behind obviously know each other, probably a regular customer.she said to her you have two packages today. I was really aggravated because they both made it seem like I was skipping the line. The customer said I will let her go. Again I am standing in front of line in front of her. I told her she could go ahead but again she said I will let you go. I was annoyed that the fedex worker didn't control the line. I would give FedEx zero stars if I could! My doctor sent me some medication via FedEx overnight delivery on 10/23/19. When I opened my e-mail at 11am on 10/24, I was shocked to see an e-mail stating that FedEx attempted to deliver my package at 10:44AM but could not because no one was home to accept the package. THIS WAS A COMPLETE LIE!! I had not left the apartment and nobody rang my bell. In addition, even if no one was home (which, as I stated, was NOT the case), they could have left the package at the door because no signature was required. i never had complaints about Fedex as i went to fedex or UPS many times before.. until the past weekend the experience in Fedex Garden city is really a turn off and i would never ever want to go back there again. I have to pick up a package there only one person is in front of me, it took a long time for the staff to process as the staff claimed her computer encountered issues. i think she is the only staff on the shift so i didn't complain..but a half hour later there're a few customers coming in the line, then all of a sudden THREE staff came out from the office inside and help process other customers .. i only wanted to pick up a small package. in the past in other Fedex or UPS centers if that situation happen the other staff would come out to help much earlier, Obviously no one there would care how long the customers are waiting. read more

UPDATE: So I sent an email to this location and to Fed Ex customer service complaining about the pile of garbage that they sent us and NO RESPONSE FROM EITHER. It is quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. And frankly, you're probably best avoiding Fed Ex altogether. Honestly so disappointed with my experience here. I placed a printing order order for pick-up and had the option to pick it up same day, but I chose the next day at 1:00PM. Which by the way, my print was stupid expensive. I arrived on time, and was told that they were working on it and to just wait for 10 minutes. Okay, fine. I come back after 10 minutes and they are still working on it. Why set up a pick up time if you are only going to start the project when the customer arrives? So I stood there and waited, and waited and waited. The manager (older woman with short blonde hair) could OBVIOUSLY see I was angry, but did she approach me? No. What kind of manager does that?? You see a client who is clearly upset about a situation that YOUR employees have caused, and dont check on them? When I really became fed up and went to the counter to ask how much longer it will be, the same manager looked at me and was surprised that I was so angry. As if I wasnt just standing right in front of her for the last hour. I was told 5 more minutes. Honestly comical at this point. After more than 5 minutes, the employee brings my print out to me and tried to crack a joke about how well she did with the print job. I told her I would have liked the print more if I didnt wait an hour for it and she seriously replied with, "well, things happen." AND WALKED AWAY. I cannot stress how obnoxious this whole place was. The customer service is an ACTUAL JOKE. Dont understand how this place is still up and running. Maybe hire a staff that gives a crap about their job and not run clients out because of their attitude. Horrible service, manager refused to come up front while I waited 2 hours to figure out what was going on with my package. Finally when my package showed up, a black woman starts screaming at me. Telling me she is going to beat me down,screaming Trump is my President "White Bitch" She was telling all racial slurs and threatening to harm me. By the way I never had an interaction with her or even knew she was on line. Thr the employee, black with dread locks never got help, never told her to stop, never got management and instead is screaming at me to shut up and show my ID. So one has to take from this that Fed Ex does not care about your safety. It is a dark area, no help when you go get a package and they mislead you it is there. One has to believe as a customer who is black and telling racial white slurs, and threatening a white woman for no reason, and the employee does nothing but encourage her behavior that he too is racist.
