I've had customer ship me packages addressed to 10-P. FedEx figured it out...yes TEMPE. Give them a break, you mess up the address and they can only do so much. For meFedEx has always delivered. I use frequently and highly trust. I can spot the amateurs who are trying to ship. Yes, the clerk does need the correct address, someone does have to read your handwriting. For the pros, we can use on-line and print out forms. I normally try to drop off in the early morning or early afternoon. They close at 6 and the lines are long. They have a plane on the runway at 7, so if you are procrastinator and think you can get in at 6:15, you are out of luck. I don't want you to delay my package, so get your act together. Also, save some money and pack it yourself. Don't think UPS is any better, both FedEx and UPS use high speed belts, so get bubble wrap and pack it good. I noticed the last review was 12/21. If I could do less than 1star I would.. This location is ridiculous. I drove 25 min because my managers package got held here, I took my ID and proof of address. I waited in line for an hour just to be told since I don't have an ID with the name of the recipient It could not be released to me. However, their policy states to have and/or address, which I had proof of address. He suggested being sent a photo of the recipients ID. After being sent the photo via my manager, I then waited in line again for another 30 min. Just to get told by the manager ( a horizontally challenged Mexican woman ) this wont work, i calmly showed her the documents i had, with the proof of address and highlighted how this is in conjunction with Fedex and store policy. She still refused saying " since you don't have a physical id with your managers name on it I cant release it to you" I explained the situation, he is out of town, the package is scheduled to go back tomorrow, and a reshipment or me picking it up is what would work, pragmatically I asked "what options do we have for the package to be released" , she replied "you have zero options". She had Zero interest in helping. Now my $600 power cables are being returned to an Ebay center because fedex does not know how to hire competent employees. read more

What a disaster. Had a driver claim he tried to deliver to our event at 7:13am, we were waiting for him. Got notified that we could pick up at the Thomas location anytime after 8:30. Event started at 8am. Fedex door sign says they open at 9. I ask through the fence for help, nice guy says to go to the front and someone will open for me. No one does, Ask two more people who say they will get a manager. One walks by and I ask where the manager is and she replies "You just need to wait for them to open at 9". The say I am a Premier client, I don't feel that way. The two Ops Managers Dustin Hellums and Mark Peterson working this morning were too wussy to come out and speak to me. Downloaded Yelp just for this review. I usually drop my packages off at a local Fedex Office location but sometimes my packages get delayed in transit to the ship center. I decided to try dropping my package off at the ship center directly. In the past, the billable label provided by the company is not the actual shipping label. In my prior experience with Fedex office, they manually type something in and a typical Fedex label that I'm used to seeing is printed and put on the package by the employee. I tried using the self serve kiosk once but the billable label barcode doesn't scan. I walked in around 12:50PM on Tuesday, March 19. There were two employees at the desk. One was an African American lady with dreadlock hair. I walked up to her and presented by package WITHOUT the label attached but just sitting on top because in the past it has been replaced with another printed label. I put it down and she says to me "What am I supposed to do with this?" I explained that I usually visit FedEx office and they have to type something in and a new label is printed. She said "They probably type in the shipping info manually and I am not going to do that because it takes too long." I honestly thought that this whole thing was a joke. I have never been treated so awful by a customer service representative IN MY LIFE. This whole time, the other employee who was sitting off to the side is audibly snickering and laughing at me. She asked me if I wanted a receipt and of course I wanted a receipt because I was not sure my package would get to where it needed to go. I guess her printer wasn't working so she had to get up and walk two steps to the guy's station to print my receipt. She had it VERY clear that she was annoyed with me and she was slapping the mouse around unnecessary to make additional noise. When the receipt finally printed, she grabbed it and handed it to me crumpled. This experience was so bad and I will never return. Back to FedEx Office I go. read more

Adult signature required delivery so I sat around all morning with the blinds open. Except for a couple potty breaks I was visible from the front door. I finally noticed the door tag stuck to front door window. Doorbell works fine but Delivery person didn't ring it. If bell had been rung I would have heard it. Very poor service. If you like misshipped, lost or damaged packages then FedEx is the company for you to use when you ship items to people you do not care about. If you are expecting on time delivery you can forget about it. The drivers do not care about your packages or what they might be carrying. Your time is not important to them and they only care about their own schedule. You can wait. Yelp is the only place to complain about this company since it is so bad they do not take complaints online. I would love FedEx to contact me with a resolve to this as the managers in the Phoenix distribution center rarely if ever return your calls. These folks are troopers. I was a pretty upset customer waiting for a phone that wasn't properly attempted to be delivered. Driver went right by and never tried to drop it off. This wasn't their fault though and everyone in the shop was super accommodating and at the end of the day I got my package. Thanks everyone! read more

I really wish I read reviews before utilizing this facility and its services! Please believe the bad reviews especially this one. First of all, the lady at the front counter just seemed like she hated her job and was extremely uninterested in helping me as a customer. I had better conversations with my dog than with this individual. (Wish I got her name but this isn't the point, fedex should really screen who they choose to be the face of their business when greeting customers in a store front!) Secondly, the little help I did receive from her was trash and I wish I just did things my way instead. She up sold me on bubble wrap and assured that my extremely fragile contents will be safe if I did it the way she suggested. Paid about 48 dollars just to have the box received at its destination all beat up with the contents inside shattered! How disappointing. You pay premium prices to get mediocre service. What a joke! My wife and I have had 3 packages ordered in the last week, and ALL 3 packages from Fed Ex were not delivered on time. The first package was labled "undeliverable" due to "customer not home. Notice left" We were home all day and our door was open (we have a screen door.) No one ever showed up and there certainly was no notice. They delivered it the next day. The second package was the same thing, so I called the Fed Ex location and had a heated discussion with them. We live in a 2 block apartment complex and told them if the driver has THAT hard of a time finding our apartment to park at the office and ask where our apartment is. The third package was never even attempted to be delivered as far as I can see on the tracking information, it was friggin' delivered to the post office to let them deliver it. Fed ex is a joke. In the same week, we had shipments from UPS, BOTH came on the expected delivery day with NO issues whatsoever. If UPS can do it, why can't Fed Ex? WTF? read more

This review is for FED X delivery. I am so disturbed and ticked off at this company. Every time a merchant sends a package through Fed X, it ends up being re-scheduled for 2 days later than the original scheduled date even though they state it's on the truck for delivery. I sit home waiting all day for the package and then to see it re-posted for a later date. Not to mention they wait until six o'clock at night to show it on their website. WTF? Are you kidding me? This has happened twice in the last week and I'm fed up with them. I never send anything through Fed X but when I buy online I have no choice of which carrier I want. I never have this problem with UPS but I always and I mean "always" have it with this company. One time I waited right by the door as I had a package coming that needed a signature, and when it didn't show up I called to see where my package was, the guy said the driver knocked but no one answered. TOTAL LIE!!! I was sitting right there. Boy did I rip them a new one. They had my package the next day. I waited all day for the driver to deliver my package- a 4:30 estimated arrival on 2 day shipping. I understand give or take a coupe of hours-however my package was already a day late on 2 day shipping. So I waited until 6pm and still no package. I went to grab dinner and came home & still no package. So then I looked up online and the driver had attempted to deliver but with no slip of attempted delivery. So I called fedex 800 #. They told me that the package attempted delivery at 7pm, and was now at this fedex location and I could go pick it up. Well on the slip that did not get left by the driver- apparently it said to bring a piece of mail if your id does not match. Also mind you the lady on the 800 # didn't notify me of this fact. & I'm suppose to pick my package up on a late delivery (which is now 2 days late technically) So because the driver decided to use his "discretion" and not leave my package-which was already a day late on 2 day shipping- my government id was not enough because the address was old (I also do not have a common name- as the lady at the desk found the package just by looking up my name- she even said I can find it because your name is not that common). I ended up having to drive all the way home because they would not allow me to go online and show them my insurance cards with the updated address on my phone. Several mistakes- late package- driver left no slip as to status of package- never told about the id and address matching over the phone. It amazes me that there is no accountability for large corporations like fedex. And we are just suppose to deal with it. read more

I have never had any success using FedEx as a recipient. In almost every case my delivery was either delayed or lost. Their tracking system is horrible and could learn something from the likes of Amazon or UPS. Delivery estimate times are a joke. The employees here are so rude and incapable of answering simple questions. Sandra (or Sara) was the absolute worse. I had an issue with the wrong city listed by the sender and had asked to pick it up from the location it was dropped off to instead of waiting another day for delivery. Well they shipped it to the wrong fed ex, had to ship it to the correct one but told me I was unable to pick it up until the next day. I asked than if it'd be easier to just get it deliver since I had to wait another day and Sandra just said I don't own. Like what do you mean you dont know. She than said it'd be out for delivery the next day so I asked if I'd be receiving it the same day. She said "i don't get what you're asking. It'll be out for delivery" I said yes I understood that part but will I receive it? She than aggressively said "I already answered your question and it'll be out for delivery tomorrow" I told her that's not what I asked, and asked when I would be receiving it. She then proceeded to keep responding I already told you it would be out for delivery! She was so in capable of even listening to the question, that maybe if she had she would've been more helpful instead she then just hung up on me so I don't even know if my package will be delivered. You're working in a job that deals with helping people so if you can't do that Sandra, you shouldn't be working there. She was horrible read more

I arrived at FedEx tonight at 8:01pm to grab an important work presentation. I needed this presentation to be professionally bound and put together. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I became aware of TODAY; I was running late because this presentation took me all day. I called the store ahead of time to let them know I was trying my hardest to get there before close at 8:00pm. I told the worker that my maps on my phone said I would arrive at 8:02pm. The worker over the phone said that they were not going to wait for me and would close at 8:00pm. I told him I was going to try and get there in time, as I REALLY needed this presentation. I Arrived at 8:01pm and ran to the door. Two workers were still walking around... one of the workers looked like he was looking for my presentation ... when he found what he was looking for he walked to door and put a close sign right in my face. What ever happened to good customer service? I understand workers want to get home and customers should respect this however today was a desperate situation for me. I had to call around to multiple FedEx stores near the Biltmore, where I work, all of which said they were too busy to print my presentation. This store was the only one who had capacity. I did my very best to get to their store on time. I just felt absolutely terrible, embarrassed for being late and desperate. Now I won't have a professional presentation for my client. I will never attempt to use FedEx again. It's UPS or literally ANY other printing service/mailing service from now on. read more

The day before Thanksgiving and FedEx did not deliver a work PC, (drove right past our gated community and didn't call us for the gate code), and then, they provided the wrong drop off address for my spouse to have to go and pick it up, AND, he had to wait two hours for the lazy driver who didn't do their job in the first place, to deliver it at this very location.
