For a "Shipping Center" this place is a joke. After waiting for over 15 min for someone to help a line of people out the door, I was told they did not have a piece of packing tape to seal my box that needed to be dropped off with an existing label. So I have to go buy a whole roll of tape from another store, just to drop it off again, so they can just scan it and toss it in the back. Disappointing. Do better, FedEx. read more

I worry for the customers that come in closer to the end of her shift. This is hard to say... when I got there, there wasn't any employee in sight. There was one customer like me and he said he had been there for 10 minutes with no one around. He was nervous because we were 30 minutes away from the time they closed. He went behind the counter and continued knocking on the doors trying to get anyone to come to the front and help us. When someone finally came , she was very good. She was apologetic and said that the person who was watching the front was supposed to tell her if she was leaving so she could cover the front for her. I found Kathy helpful, kind and compassionate. She is the reason why this review isn't 1 star thanks to her help. read more

Jose the Delivery driver for this location should be fired. Pay for over night shipping and because he screws around on the job the jerk actually says UNDELIVERABLE... because I am not home. Only one problem he takes apicture that is on a highway no where near my neighborhood. It should have been delivered by 12 and then Jose does this for the 6th time to me. I also dont have to sign for it which means it can be left. I called and they dont even care. After years of patronizing this FedEx, I am compelled to contact corporate due to the consistently poor service provided by a specific Caucasian elderly woman . Notwithstanding my amiable approach, she remains remarkably rude. The elderly lady's phone manner is unprofessional, and her tendency to criticize colleagues in front of customers is troubling. Her slow service and discourteous treatment of myself and three preceding customers necessitate managerial intervention. I will be addressing this incident with corporate, stressing that such behavior undermines the corporation's reputation and standards. I really hope that a supervisor from Fedex can see my review here. There was a lady at the counter that tried everything she could to stop me from shipping. Even though, I was told by other Fedex employees at a Fedex Store that I can ship my electric scooter for repair using their service. However, I do need to go to a shipping center of Fedex to ship it because it has lithium batteries. But once I arrived, a female staff at this location, who did not wear any Fedex uniform, told me that they can't ship it since my package did not have hazardous sign on it. So I asked to print one. She said they didn't have a printer. What the hell? After running back to the Fedex Store, I managed to print the hazardous sign. Then, THIS FEMALE FEDEX EMPLOYEE again told me I still can't ship it. The reason for this time is because I BOUGHT AND USED A FEDEX BOX to ship MY SCOOTER. She said I have to use another box from home depot or the original box to ship my item. After hearing this reason , I knew that there was something wrong with this employee. SHE SIMPLY JUST DIDN'T want to help me out and came up with bullshit reasons to prevent me from shipping my items. In the end, I decided to go to another Fedex shipping center, and they gladly take my package without any issues. I don't need to change the box or anything. Thus, it is super clear that this lady at this location is making ridiculous reasons to prevent people from shipping. What a shame on her!!!!!! read more

I live on Golfcrest drive. Every month, a specialty compounding pharmacy in Florida overnight ships a package of life saving medications to me. Twice now, the delivery person has not even stopped at my address. I know this because my neighbor has a motion activated doorbell camera. Once, the driver left my package in the hallway, and signed for me from his truck. Once, I have had to drive to the Kearny Mesa Blvd center myself to get my package after the delivery person failed to stop and deliver my package. It is unacceptable to pay for overnight delivery, with a Saturday fee, for lifesaving medication, and then have the delivery service completely fail me. I could not recommend FedEx less. Shame on you, FedEx. You put me in the ER once already. I expect better service when, after the first failed delivery, the manager Dave promised that it "will never happen again". read more

I can see I'm not alone with my poor experience at this particular FedEx store. Honestly, in recent years I have noticed the lack of customer service at FedEx offices but at this particular office, the woman at the counter seemed to make an effort to be difficult. I was there, along with many other people, right when it opened. Despite a line going out the door (middle of September) there was only one person at the counter helping customers. This particular store seems to be drop-off/pick-up for regular customers and not very accommodating for the one-time customer. I had something I needed to ship and had a pre-printed label from the company I was shipping it to. I did not already have it in a container and it needed to be wrapped in something protecting the object during shipment. Again, despite the long line, there was only one person at the counter helping customers. Because I didn't have something ready to ship, the woman at the counter seemed a bit annoyed to help me. I explained I needed to ship something and needed it wrapped and packed. She told me they don't do that even though I was standing right next to a FedEx advertisement sign claiming they are "shipping & packing" service. She directed me to move aside and wrap the item myself and to get back in line when I was finished. I pulled some packing material they had in a display case as well as getting a box to ship it in. No sooner did I start wrapping the contents when she moved the next customer right where I was. I had moved to another part of the counter where she directed me but now she was moving me again. I moved and again, she moved things to push me out of where I was trying to put my package together. When I got my package together, I realized I forgot to put a piece of paper inside and had to reopen the package. I asked the woman if she had some tape to help me re-seal the package. She took the package away from me and dropped in on the counter. She seemed to utter some words that I couldn't quite make out but they didn't sound flattering. When all was done, she kept saying "have a nice day" in a very condescending tone, as if that was supposed to make up for her obnoxious behavior. I so wish people like her could see what life is like without a job. Her job is customer service and all I did was to ask for a little help putting my package together. But instead of expressing the slightest bit of compassion, she told me to go away and do it myself. I would go out of my way before ever using this particular store ever again. I'm sure for the people who come here routinely, it's a pretty easy transaction because that woman doesn't have to do much. But she has this attitude that ANY amount of work is annoying to her and people are bothering her. I know FedEx and the person who manages this store doesn't care about Yelp reviews and I doubt anyone looking for a FedEx store is going to read a review or be swayed by it, but I will document my experience as it does seem to be par for this place when reading all the other reviews. read more

Too bad Yelp doesn't allow ZERO stars, this place doesn't rate any stars! I've had to got to this location, almost every time I receive a shipment from Fed-Ex because they can't seem to deliver when scheduled. I've lost several days income by taking time off work for a deliveries that required signature, only to have nothing show up. It hasn't been a one-off occurrence, it's every time with Fed-Ex! I try my best to avoid any shipments via Fed-Ex, but some businesses continue to put up with their poor service and lack of on-time delivery. The staff in the actual shipping center is horrific! There has never been an employee at the counter when I have been there, instead they peek out from the back and sometimes come out to offer rude and less that competent assistance. It is quite apparent that the employees there don't like to work with customers, it shows. I can understand not having a good day every day, but these people are always rude, abrupt, and keep you waiting for no apparent reason other than they can. The same rude lady has been there for many years, at some point you'd think management would move her to a position where she doesn't have to speak or deal with customers as she clearly hates us. I've had 4 shipments in the last 10 days not show up when scheduled, one didn't show up at all. At this point I see that no improvements are going to happen, so I'll do my best to request shippers use another carrier. I wish you luck if you have to deal with this company. read more

FedEx is the only company that overnight ships live animals. I have sent many and followed the rules every time. However the women here are horrible, they have slammed my packages down that clearly say live animal. Argued with me and put the animals in danger, trash location. read more

This location has by far the worst customer service I've experienced at any FedEx location. First off, some useless driver "made an attempt" to deliver a package in the morning (I was working from home, not a single attempt was made) and then received a notification indicating I can pick it up after 4:00 same day. How do you "make an attempt" and fail when all you have to do is leave the package at door. You can walk right up to the door...no signature was needed, no gate blocking the driver's path. As it was an important package, I opted to pick up, only to be confronted by a rude woman who couldn't take down a 9-digit tracking ID to save her life. After she finally got the tracking number correctly entered, she tells me she's not expecting her driver back, and cuts me off at every attempt to ask when the driver is expected back. What's the point of paying for overnight delivery if they won't even attempt the delivery and lie about making an attempt, and then force the customer to drive to their location for pick up, only to tell them the package isn't there. read more

As several other people have said, the lady working at the front desk is incredibly rude for seemingly no reason at all. From the moment I walked in she acted as though a customer showing up during normal business hours was somehow unexpected and like I was putting her out by wanting to ship a package. She gave annoyed/exasperated replies to every basic question of hers I answered. I thought maybe I had just caught her on a bad day, but several other reviews here and on other sites mentioning the same has sort of confirmed my experience. FedEx shipment service is So bad. We have been expecting rather a critical package today 7/82022 at home, which requires a signature. There a reason we asked for signature requirement because it is very important. We had to change our plans to make sure we are home all day long to receive. We were told that FedEx couldn't get hold of us, or we were not home. No one rang the bell !!!! I don't know if they are expecting us to wait at the door outside all day long. And now they tell us we will deliver on Monday. This is unacceptable!!! Such a bad service. Not responsible, unresponsive, unreasonable, bad bad service. My experience with Fed Ex's delivery has been generally poor in the last months but today it hit the -10 button as the driver lied about an attempt at delivering.... stating "at 5:16pm that an attempt was made but business was closed" (I am residential); "no one was there" (no signature was required for this package and could have been left at door as well as we were at home) and add to that, my Ring camera did not pick up any delivery attempt from Fed Ex all day nor did we hear the Ring attempt any where around 5:00pm and we were both near the front door. But of course I can drive 25 minutes to pick it up in Kearney Villa or they will "attempt a delivery on the next business day" . I called the Fed Ex Customer service and am now learning to ask for supervisor when the first line gives you nothing useful. Supposedly the second line Fed Ex customer service supervisor will call Kearney Villa manager tomorrow; I asked to speak to this manager also. We will see. Thank you for lying to my shipper that you would hold the package for pickup, and still putting it on a truck to deliver it to a location that you have already been notified no one is available to be there. Thank you for having an automated phone line that makes it nearly impossible to speak with a representative and then forwarding me to a call center which has no information or ability to help. Fed-Ex delivered a gauge cluster I had repaired to the wrong address, I filed a claim and they said they would get back to me if they have updates but if not I would just never hear from them again. Needles to say I never heard anything back and never got my gauge cluster, I had to order a new cluster, the mileage was not the same, and had to have my truck towed to the Ford dealer for a replacement to be installed and programmed which was a huge inconvenience (time and $$$) all due to Fed-Ex.... read more

I was told this morning that the trace dept. will call me within 2 hours. 5 hours later, still waiting. I have called again & was transferred to the trace dept & the person there put me on hold & then I was immediately disconnected. I've been dropping off items to ship for about 8 years now as it's close to my job. There's two ladies that usually help me here and one is a bit cheerier (Kathy) than the other but they're both helpful. Parking is usually OK here too; they have quite a few spaces just for the customers. Some time earlier this year they put in a wheelchair ramp and the lobby got new counters and carpeting. It looks much better. The service is usually good here and I appreciate it--especially around the holidays when I know that they are extremely busy. read more

The World on Time? I think not. It has been 11 days since Time Warner was given the order for additional boxes to be shipped. According to Fedex, they were shipped on the 5th and delivery was attempted. There were no delivery notice tags on my door, and if the Fedex rep actually came to my apartment, the door is almost always open to let in fresh air, so when the service rep insisted that delivery was attempted, it did not ring true. In spite of several attempts to resolve the issue over the phone, we were told that we would have to pick up the package in San Diego. Is this the exceptional service that Fedex would like you to think you'll get? Instead of helpfully resolving the issue, the phone representatives insisted that we had not been home, detailing the driver's obviously incorrect description of our apartment complex. They claim we live in a gated community with security codes. This is not the case at all. It seems likely that the driver had no clue about the area. There was confrontation and persistent frustration with this company regarding something that should have been taken care of without a moment's hesitation. Was it that they did not believe their customer? It seems to me that this company is choosing to brush off a legitimate complaint, and to me it seems that Fedex doesn't value my business. If you want sketchy delivery service and argumentative service reps, go ahead and use Fedex, but for my money, time and effort, I'll still go with UPS. UPDATE: Upon coming home from a trip to town, I decided to inspect the landing of my apartment. I found ONE notification sticker, face down underneath another item on the porch, the backing not even peeled off to stick anywhere. I am also wondering why, when another Fedex delivery was attempted today in my complex, the driver left the package in the office because the residents were not at home. Why was this not done for us? An email from Fedex customer support indicates that they are now admitting that the driver on the route has had problems finding the address. read more

Indescribable, such horrific service from their call center in Texas to the management in office. I called about my package being delayed twice because of "security reasons". I was told the first time I called by a very impatient manager at the call center that because of construction on one side of my street, they had avoided delivery. The other side that is off of the main road (mission gorge) is completely open. In the end, my options turned out to be: 1. Let's wait and see if the same driver (who must not have mapquest) is willing to go back and deliver to you. 2. Let's wait and see if the same thing happens tomorrow. 3. You can go and get it yourself ten miles away at the center. Literally, WTF did I pay for two day shipping for? These are my options? Even UPS HAS BEEN THROUGH THIS STREET TWICE DURING "CONSTRUCTION"!!! What a terrible ordeal. When I called back to speak to someone who may be more willing to help, I got the same manager. I took my whole life not to curse at her. Very disappointed in this service, in the future I will take great pains, not to give this company my money. STOLEN PACKAGE (iPhone)!!! Be very very careful dealing with this location. I had to ship my broken iPhone to my insurance company because I had received a replacement phone from them. My insurance company provided me with the shipping box and label so it was ready to be shipped. I stopped in there during my lunch hour and there was a long line. The person at the register asked me drop the box off on the counter siince it was all ready to go. That was possibly the biggest mistake I made. The box was never to be found or tracked. I filed a claim with Fedex but never heard back either. I am out $600 now because my insurance company charged me for the lost phone. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER trust a Fedex employee again. read more

This is the first time that I had a package sent from Fed ex. The customer service rep sent me to the center and it took me 40 minutes to get here. I asked if it would not be sent to the place closest to my house 5 to 10 minutes away.....and they said no I had to drive here. It took me 40 minutes to get here ....and once I was in the ..lobby it took them another ...five minutes to come out from the back. Then I was told I had to go back to postal Annex where the package was all along. They said I was not allowed to sign for it. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that they had nothing to do with the 800 number and they would not reimburse me for my mileage or time. I highly recommend using UPS or the mail system. There are a few buildings, however there is a map of building numbers and locations. Currier instead of delivering to my apartment left package by apartment mailboxes for anyone to pick up.
