A great local small business- able to do photos, copies, postage (express, package items, fragile and etc), notary and live scans. While notary and live scan services are on walk in basis, I would highly recommend calling ahead for availability on those services especially if you are on a time crunch. I stopped in on a Friday am around 10:40 to get a live scan done for a license renewal. I also got forms printed, the staff had me email them what I needed printed. They were friendly and prompt. I did have to wait a while to get the live scan done (maybe 20 mins because the owner was on the way there and parking in Cali is a mess) but it was a seamless process and cost $79.00! I would strongly recommend to avoid this establishment. We just had a terrible experience and an important piece of federal mail is lost with nothing but excuses and hyperbole from the owner and employee. I am in the music industry and travel alot. I have a studio here in SD I work out of. My home is in a different state. 3 other times this past year I have had packages sent to Go Postal where I paid them 5 dollars per package to receive the items. This time I called them repeatedly letting them know about the package. So I go in person today as it's super late and I know it must have arrived in SD.....and they act all weird and start giving me 2 separate answers. The guy says oh we turned it away and the woman says no he's wrong we never got it. They both were really off base and unprofessional about it. Short answers with no explanation. I cannot have faith in a place that loses sight of packages and does not even know what they did with it. They literally have one job. It's stunning not only the confusion but just the overall way they acted. Currently in crisis control mode and I'm very very disappointed. Will never do business with them again. read more

Avoid at all cost. The UPS Store is only a few blocks away and they don't abuse their customers. The original owners were GREAT! The new owners are HORRIBLE. Everything cost twice as much as it does at USPS and 33% more costly than the UPS Store. With every transaction they ask to contribute to their kid's education fund. It's really demeaning of them. I pay $6500 per year in taxes for schools in San Diego, and I never had kids. They need to stop badgering their customers. I live 4 blocks away and will NEVER go there again. They really are rude unappreciative owners. They should close up shop and go somewhere their rudeness is acceptable. That would be NO WHERE!!! read more

Go Postal is located on India street in Little Italy, San Diego delivering and specializing in services such as notary, apostles, passport photos, copies, FEDEX, USPS, DHL, mailboxes, and of course shipping! This fine establishment had been in business since 2007 and are still going strong! I walked in today to mail off a packet of papers for a license renewel and was in and out in no time. I bought a nice envelope to mail my papers in and went with the regular USPS shipping. Customer service was Second to none and everything went as smooth as could be. This hidden gym doesn't do money orders or checks but will gladly send off your mail to the exact location your expecting it to go to. They do offer tracking and expressed delivery as well. They are closed on all Sundays and holidays as a normal Post office would be. If your in the area and need a quick passport photo or maybe somthing to ship off I highly recommended this place because you can't steer wrong! read more

We used to use this place frequently. They have it set up where you stand in the doorway and hand your package info. This was fine. The worker stated we had to pull up our bandana. As I was pulling up my mask he snapped "pull it up right". Mind you, this is a bandana I have and they are wearing XL vented N95s which ... lol have VENTS blowing out their actual breath. I didn't even get a chance to pull it up before he started cussing at me. Actual. Cuss words. So he threw my paper out of the store, called me a D**** (and I'm a woman, ha). Ok. So, I hope this was the owner because if this was one of my employees they would be fired. Used to be a great store before they became psycho with mass hysteria. So, I had to have another person pick up the paper to retiring my package. You know the paper that was STUCK publicly to our commercial building, picked up with bare hands by several people, and then to be passed to a random person on the street to assist in retrieving our package. Cussing employee was not wearing gloves, and his face mask had absolutely NO seal, was loosely on by half a strap... I'm in the medical field. I didn't have the heart to tell them their masks and hand sanitizing practices would not protect them if they truly are in fear of this scamdemic. Calm down. Not like they care because they CUSS at patrons, but won't be back. Lol. read more

Accused my friend of being rude. Woman allowed 3 people to cut in front of her in line. Friend was asked if she was ready. She said "I've been ready." The guy in the store affirmed our instinct to go elsewhere, by picking up our postcard choices, and handing our envelope back. All we wanted was to mail a large manila envelope and buy some postcards. I was sitting outside, and heard just about everything. My friend has a loud voice, so I heard her well. Guess having a loud voice is being rude. Went to Postal Annex, and received excellent service and help. This 1501 India street is a strange area. I've also had horrible service at the CVS in the area. I'm 68, and my friend is 58. Frankly, these are the only two places in 3 years of living in San Diego that I've been given horrible service. read more

This time around taping a box. The thing about this place is that sometimes you get a pleasant exchange and other times that one employee's bad mood takes away the fun vibe Liz brings to the place. Today he decided to make a personal dig at me and when I thought he was joking, and asked if he was joking, he said no. So, while I guess I could just put up with it, he made it clear he doesn't want me as a customer. I just don't think mailing boxes and buying stamps and dropping things off needs to be such a draining experience. The good news? I was in Go Postal today . I have to say that they are one of most consistent businesses in the neighborhood where I always feel taken care of. When I went online today to write a review , I saw that someone had criticized them over the mask issue in the last day. I can't imagine what it must be like to be trapped in a small store with packages and mail flying at you during this time. ( Nine of my friends and clients in Dallas are currently Covid positive and it isn't pretty. One has been in the hospital for over a week and may not make it.) When a business asks you to mask up it is not a political statement. It is not a power play. It is their right and it is the law. Your refusal to wear one IS a political statement and power play. It shows a lack of empathy and a narcissistic belief that your wishes are more important than someone's safety. When a small business owner gets a virus they must close their business down for at least two weeks. This can put many companies out of business right now. If the person who wrote the mask complaint on YELP is truly a medical professional, then I would hope you find another career path. You are a danger to yourself and others. I had a problem with a package that I sent overseas. For some reason it got returned to my address due to possible issues with the contents that weren't approved by customs. The team at Go Postal was kind enough to help me re-send the package at no additional costs. They went out of their way to resolve the issue with USPS. One of the most annoying things to me is figuring out how much postage is needed on a package and I'm extremely happy to have found Go Postal in my neighborhood so I don't have to deal with it anymore. If I could I would give them ZERO stars! The prices to ship are outrageous! They charged me $23.08 for a USPS large FLAT Rate Box! It should have cost me $16.85! When I questioned "Going Postal's" customer service rep, she said, that they always charge 24% more for anything that is shipped from their store.... Wait? Redo your math, and extra $7.00 is not 24% - This store charged me an extra 44% to mail a package. Before paying I asked to cancel my order and requested that my packages be returned to me. She told me "No, I cannot cancel. You have to pay." And she kept my boxes behind the counter. I am all for small businesses, but this one is robbing people, and their doing it with terrible customer service to top it off!! With Flat Rates, you pay one rate no matter the weight or where the package is going. I should have gone online to usps.com sooner, I just learned that I can print my mailing label from home for the flat rate price!!!! read more

It's always a quick and painless process that costs $10. Plus, they will make a copy of your notarized documents for free so you can mail your documents on the spot. It seems like the people that work here genuinely care about their customers. The last time I was there a man came in and searched around the mailboxes for a package he was expecting. He left before they could bring it to him from the back room, so they chased him down the street to get it to him.
