If you don't stumble across it, like I did by hitting the supermarket it shares the plaza with, you'll never know about them. Maybe they like it that way. As the name implies they focus on furniture. The assortment is typically nice to average. Way better than your typical Goodwill or Savers, not as nice as others. The people who work here are very nice. They had an overdose of now-boat-anchor armoires that they were practically giving away but for sofas, chairs, art etc pretty nice. They do have other stuff like books, CDs, brutally overpriced vinyl, kitchenware, but prices are good to crazy. The place is cavernous so a good look around will get in your steps. Again if you don't save a note to remind yourself to visit you probably never will because they're almost invisible. If I hadn't been cleaning out desk junk I wouldn't have remembered I had kept a receipt from here. I have meant to go back but forgot the name and searching for thrift shops is pointless on this place. If you're near here or looking for some room revitalization it's worth a visit. I'm reviewing the place so I can find it again myself.

Basically I have a car payment that was due on the 28th, car insurance due on the 1st, a phone that…read moreneeds a service plan, I have surgery coming up next month and won't be able to work for a while, as most of you know I have been diagnosed with HIV and it messes with my breathing bad, I'm up to the wazoo and bills even after raising all three of my credit scores by disputing unnecessary student loans and I don't know what else to do. So I'm going to give this a try and see if it works. The main thing is I need to get a new phone plan for the phone that my I think friend gave me so I can start doing these deliveries, like Postmates, Instacart, GrubHub, Doordash, Uber Eats, Shipt, Fresh Direct, Beelivery and many others that I have signed up for. I also want to add that this all came about when I was suspended for missing several shifts at work at My Brothers' Keeper in Shakopee which is a group home watching over fellows with developmental and intellectual disabilities. there were two primary reasons I was missing shifts. the first one is because my GPS was straight-up malfunctioning and because of all the detours in road closures in the cities, I was late. the second reason was because I was sick in a motel room for probably about 3 weeks or even closer to a month with what I thought was Corona. the company is nurse told me that it was not a priority at the time to get staff tested. a doctor told me that there is no use in getting tested because one in four tests came back with a false positive. a nurse practitioner told me that they were only looking after first responders and their own. The housing director told me that they would have a nurse or something along the lines of that position testing very shortly. I never heard anything back from any of them other than come back when you're symptom-free and without pain meds for three days. when it was time to come back I could barely speak but I was told that a lost voice was not a symptom and to go ahead and come back. I will continue to be sick and I would continue to miss shifts and in this whole process it was suspend me not only once for 2 weeks but again for a month. and then a client at the house overheard the house supervisor speaking about the fact that I would not be returning to work. that client then went and told me what she had said but the story got reversed and allegedly I told him that I would not be coming back and I did this while being suspended there for broke two rules. The funny thing is is there was another staff member and two other clients present but nobody vouched for me. I was told to come in again to the office and speak about boundaries and at that point I quit. earlier on in this process the head of HR and the housing director made a comment about me missing days. I explained to them it was because I was sick and they responded with why were you sick Steven? I responded with I don't know maybe HIV or Corona. they did this and said this with smirks on their face. when I confronted them with the fact that they had no reason to suspend me and I had done nothing before ordering work to ever jeopardize the health or safety of my clients, they had no response. So this is the position that I'm in an unemployment for whatever reason is not giving me a cent. I have 10 days to come up with five hundred bucks, and that's just for the car payment. Then there's car insurance which is 120 bucks, cell phone bill which is roughly 55 bucks, fuel costs which is probably a hundred bucks a week and just the usual toiletries food and honestly I'd like to be able to help out my mother and her fiance which I taking me in. I also would like to be able to pay back people that have loan me money even the ones that have said that I did not have to. My health insurance is covering next to nothing other than thank God, my $3,000 HIV med a month. other than that, they're only covering about 10% of my bills and my caseworker for whatever reason refuses to keep in contact with me. so guys just please help me. if need be I can give you the address of the company that loan me the car and I can give you the car insurance company for the cell phone bill company. I'm stuck. With that said, I do have great support and I thank those who continue to support me and keep me in their prayers.

When I was moving things from the truck to the storage room there were several employees removing snow and ice. The person who checked me in was great. She took time to explain the facility and then walked to the storage room to make sure my access code worked and the room was acceptable to me. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you need somewhere to store your treasures.

Their "value coverage" that they force on you? It's not insurance, it's an indemnity waiver you pay for. They won't even cover damage from their own negligence per the agreement! I had damage to my items in storage, tried to contact the facility for a week before I removed the irreplaceable items to try and have them repaired. After involving the storagemart call center, I was only given a claims form that stated items must be reported damaged before being removed (which was not mentioned anywhere in the signed agreement), and a promise that someone would call me. When I finally made contact with someone calling themselves the interim manager, he took one look in the unit, to assess the damage to my remaining items I assumed. Seems they only wanted proof that the ceiling didnt have a hole causing the damage, as it appears that is the only thing they will cover. Now it's just shrugs and ignored emails. I have had this unit for years, never had any issues when Bruce owned it. As soon as storagemart took over, it has turned into a dump. No plowing, no repairs to facility, "climate controlled" units are a petri dish, nobody answers the phone, nobody cares. But hey, it's just irreplaceable baby pictures, right?
