My first time at the bins in MN was at this outlet and it did not disappoint! Some reviews pointed out it's not a big spot, and I'd agree. BUT there are plenty of bins to go through and in the couple hours I was there they refreshed so many bins. Before coming, I think people need to do a bit of research between a "normal" Goodwill and an outlet like this. Nothing is hung up, nothing is "organized", and it's really a free for all when it comes to flipping through. That's the fun of the bins! 2 minutes ago The store appears gigantic from the exterior but only takes up the center portion. Ample parking, shopping baskets and easy access. The store sells clothes by the pound and was full of flat beds with clothes strewn about in massive bins. It is disastrous and no rhyme or reason to unfolded mixed up pieces of clothing . You can barely get to the bins because people all trying to see the same stuff. For a person to feel that kind of disrespect for items you are going to wear I could not imagine that no matter how poor a person may be. It should be a give away store and not a sale store. They would sell more clothes just by hanging them up and my first reaction was the last of the clothes other Goodwills could not sell.. I would never take my child there because I would not want them to feel bad about what they got . Not sure anything was really clean. read more

According to Google AI this is the most expensive Goodwill outlet in the entire country. They have raised their prices by as much as 500%+. The cashiers are threatened with being fired if they show any flexibility on heavy items. Now the charge $2.89 per pound. A bocce ball set I wanted to buy would have been over $80. They need to be more flexible and go back to reasonable pricing. read more

In one month, 3 carts came out with LIVE mice, moldy items donated from dank basements, attics or improperly stored are put out with all the other merch, contaminating EVERYTHING. Used to be cleaner and better stuff. read more

There is not enough parking and space for the customers at this location. There are carts everywhere that you can't even get down an aisle. People just park them and walk off to shop. They should only have one cart and it should be with them at all times not parked in the way so others can't shop. It's a huge fire hazard!! read more

What is going on here? What happened to all of the bins? At one time, there were bins on every wall, bins in front of the store and many more rows of bins! The pandemic is over and every time I come in there are less bins. There were separate rows and bins for clothes, accessories, books, video tapes, electronics, linens, bedding, household and glassware. Now you have rows of clothes, some more clothes, a row for accessories, less books, and one row for everything else, minus anything good. The pickers are crowded into fewer areas and have taken the store over in their frenzy to find anything decent. That and the prices have more than doubled. At one time I would have given you a 5 and now I'm contemplating on whether I should return. read more

So. The GW bins are already picked thru/unsold inventory but the bin store still has "pickers" who go thru and take everything out that they think is valuable. Since the covid pandemic, this store has less merchandise, more rules, and a very rude manager. I shop the Goodwill 'bins' often in the Denver Colorado area. They have covid rules, but the rules make sense, and they explain the rules...not yell and threaten. After this visit, I have decided not to do any more business with any goodwill store EVER. I am 65 years old and don't appreciate being yelled at for not knowing this stores new rules. I only wish I could leave zero stars. read more

We've been here several times in the past and enjoyed the "finding treasure" aspect of the bins. We'd typically shop for books for our elderly neighbors once a month or so. This was our second visit since the COVID changes and we will NEVER go back! Scott, who according to the cashier is the owner of this location came up to us and was incredibly nasty and rude saying he saw us go the wrong way on the arrows on the floor when we HAD NOT - which I pointed out to him looking down right at the arrows we were standing on. Then he said people only get one trip through the store, following the arrows in a way which made no sense and which was clearly not true since there was a line of people waiting for fresh bins which means if they went through a fresh set of bins that's more than one trip through. Despite what he said, we had only completed about 5 bins when this happened - that's about 1.5 aisles. After getting nasty for no reason with us we decided to leave. There was a large line of people with their carts BLOCKING the only way Scott said we were allowed to leave the store following the arrows even though I was in an aisle with arrows pointing right to the checkout he said that wasn't allowed to follow them to get out! They weren't in line to check out, just waiting for more bins to be brought out. SCOTT put us in a situation where we felt TRAPPED in the store or else we'd be defying him to walk out "past" those people. After waiting several minutes with him glaring at us and acting intimidating and confirming those people were waiting for more bins and not in line to check out we did walk past all of them to get out. Unlike the other 1-star person who clearly had an issue with this same man and thought it was because she was a teen - I'm an adult, was there with my husband and following the rules, wearing mask etc. and we were following guidelines just doing our own thing so this was SHOCKING behavior and deserves a PUBLIC call out and 1-star review. read more

And really dumb how someone new to this store and not knowing the rules get yelled at for not having a cart and staying together. I'm a reseller and was excited to visit an outlet while on vacation. This place was a terrible experience. My husband got yelled at because he didn't have a cart and was told to stand next to me at all times. Some hefty woman with a cart stacked 6 ft high jumped all over me because I looked thru HER bin. The management was barking orders like kindergarten teachers and the shoppers were equally rude. I've never met a total jerk in MN I guess it was because they're all busy at this outlet! Our outlet here has rules too, but Chaska is over the top extreme AND confusing with theirs. When we visit MN again next fall we will avoid this place. When this location opened a few years ago I LOVED it‼ As a mother of 4 preteen/teens it was a lifesaver for my budget. The checkout girls were always super nice helping answer my questions about what gets weighed with which category. They'd also let me use a separate cart so I could better group my things together and put electronics in a different cart for checkout. Some really heavy items I bought like a mirror, featherbed, wicker shades, rugs I would ask they weigh when they weren't busy and if it was over a certain weight they offered a flat price. Then I started experiencing a very tall salt and pepper haired man (assuming manager) who would come up and yell at me for certain infractions. As a newbie I was learning...sheesh‼ Every time I went and he was there it was always something. If he was checking out he charged more for electronics vs the normal checkout people would group an item with multiple parts together or even just ask how many I had. Then the prices went up a year or so ago. I'd still go but not as frequently because it cost more because the cost difference did make a difference. Then COVID happened...first time I went I read the rules and took away that I had to wear a mask, only 1 cart per boat/bin, follow the arrows. So I did that but got yelled at because I was only sb going around the store 1x, check out, relinquish my cart and start all over. This makes zero sense because if there's a line waiting for a bin it makes sense to just move on to an empty bin and circle back...nope VIOLATION‼ Also I encountered several rude customers who had parked their cart but were no where around so I'd begin looking and they'd either comment to me or to each other "I was waiting before you"...ummmm no your cart was. Also they take the bins away without warning which is frustrating. If a person knew they were going to take it away next go around they could rifle thru faster esp if you're looking for items that come in pairs and have only found 1. One nice lady told me that if they take the bin away just wait in your spot until they bring a new one so you're first to search. I can tell you that if you check out and have reached the 25# limit (lowest price bracket) you can go back and show the receipt and that price will be granted even if you don't buy as much. Also clothing, shoes, household are weighed separate but the combined total is the gauge for price bracket (if you buy 14 lb clothing 4 lb shoes and 7 lb household = 25 lb) Before I would have them weigh my cart before I checked out so I knew if I'd reached the limit of the cheapest price but I doubt they'd do that anymore. It's frustrating to look at your receipt and see you had 24# and could have thrown a few more items in. Accessories like purses are weighed with household. Furniture used to be cheaper, now prices seem out of line. Things like vacuums/carpet cleaners used to just be in the bins, now they're priced separately in a corner. Also doesn't make sense because I've bought several that don't work (some I can fix but some are beyond hope) and they don't let you check that they even turn on. I usually spent about 3 hours but with these new rules I buy less and spend less time. It's too stressful having people barking orders at you and this rule you can only go around once plus they take the bins away way more frequently which also makes no sense because less people get to look thru them with this 1 cart per bin rule. Not being able to sort thru your cart before you check out is also frustrating because sometimes you change your mind about an item if you found something further down the line. I have to believe their sales are affected as I used to try to go every 2 months but now I've only been there 2x this whole year. Tip...bring large trash bags so as you're shopping you can designate 1 bag per category eliminating the need to sort thru before checkout. Also make a separate trip for electronics because they take up too much space in the carts. read more

A lot of the staff is pretty rude at the Chaska bins but don't get me wrong there are some really sweet people that try and help. My friend and I were there a couple days ago and there was this one older man who worked there and he was following us around the entire time waiting for us to mess up something. We were then at one of the bins and had our cart next to us, he came up and pushed our cart into the bin saying it wasn't close enough and we weren't leaving enough room for people, which is understandable except we had our cart right next to us and the "aisles" are pretty wide. We then were standing off to the side at the front of the store sorting through stuff and he came up to us again saying we weren't allowed to stand there?? Which made no sense because there was two other people with carts standing around there going through there stuff as well but he didn't yell at them. There is another older man that works there who is super sweet and always happy which keeps us coming back it just sucks that some of the workers are so rude. read more

I have a story to tell. It happened a couple of months ago. I couldn't talk about it because I would get emotional and cry every time I think what happened on that day at Chaska wholesale. There is a group of "friends " , they all in early 20s. One young man always bring his Louis Vuitton bag with him. He brings different one every day, but always Louis Vuitton. He is a reseller, like all other people from his group. They DO NOT LIKE COMPETITION. If you will become a competitor, they will find the way on how to sabotage you, so you never come back to that store again. It happened to me because I was interested on finding the designer bags, so as the boy with Louis Vuitton bag. While I was looking at the bin, he walked by and dropped his Louis Vuitton bag into my cart and covered it up with my other items from the cart so I don't see it right away. Then, he reported to manager that I stole his Louis Vuitton bag. The manager found his bag in my cart and asked me to leave the store immediately or he will call a police. I was in total shock. I never steal anything in my entire life. I would never do staff like that. I am an honest person. Now I know why this horrible young person brings Louis Vuitton bag to the second hand store, to get rid of competitors. They are , the group of young " friends" , very creative on how to sabotage people . I do not go to that store anymore, but I heard so many horrible stories from other resales who became victoms of these horrible young people. read more

I was wondering why it wasn't as crowded and found out when I checked out. My bill was $61+. I asked for Senior discount and was told that the Senior and Military discount ended Sept. 1. Interesting since I went on Sept. 9 and got the 25% Senior discount. On Sept. 9, I paid $1.19 a lb. before the discount for textiles and wares and $.49 minus discount for electronics. On Sept. 16, I bought a lot more, over 25 lbs. and paid $1.49 a lb. with no discount and $0.99 for electronics. The Air Purifier wrapped in bubble wrap I wanted to mail to my daughter in Oregon did nothing when I plugged it in and the mini boom box dial doesn't move and the volume slider is broken off. Most of the items I buy to resell and buy according to what I can get for the items. I will lose money on some of the items I boughtwith the inflated pricing system, that came out of nowhere with no notice. I also didn't see many of the regular workers, including the regular cashiers. read more

They have good stuff, but when I checked out it was much more expensive than I think it should've been. Instead of taking some of the things out and checking them Individually they just stuck the whole cart of the scale, which I've never had happen before and I've been to a few goodwills already. It ended up costing almost 40$ and I didn't even buy that much stuff so I'm now preferring to go to other locations. **UPDATE** I went here again to give it another shot and I'm lowering my 2 star to a ONE star. This store is a complete train wreck. First, they start taking away all the bins a half hour before the store closes. Secondly, their pricing is SO WRONG! I've been to numerous goodwill outlet stores and have never spent as much as I do here for such little stuff as any other location. Instead of doing their jobs and taking stuff out of the cart to individually ring things up they just tell you to put it on the scale, which has to be wrong because I just spent Over 20$ on stuff that I know should've only costed at most 10$ because none of it weighed a lot, but even when you bring it to their attention that they're not doing it right they just say that's how it's done when I've been to other stores and know they're overcharging and on purpose cuz they purposefully don't ring up things individually so you end up paying more when they weigh it for a higher price per pound. To make a long review short: Never go to this goodwill outlet, I'm warning you before they rip you off. honestly i think a lot of these reviews are based off a single or few amount of visits. personally i'm a regular shopper at the bins (i shop there at least once every few weeks for a few hours at a time) and have been for over a year now. there's a lot of unspoken rules one needs to know. many of the shoppers here are resellers, so they are quick to jump from bin to bin and be more aggressive. there are still many people who shop for pleasure. since covid they know have a new set up which changes as covid restrictions loosen. the workers there are overall pretty nice with the exception of a few and they maintain the whole place pretty clean (as clean as a goodwill outlet can be hahah). once i started going to the outlets here, i couldn't go back to the regular goodwill and this outlet is probably the best one i've been to regarding the items they put out. it's fun to dig through the piles of clothes and find gems for such a low cost. THE GOODWILL OUTLETS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE, IF YOU ARE PUT OFF BY WET/STAINED CLOTHES AND OTHER ASSORTMENTS OF ATROCITIES DO NOT GO. they price it by the pound most of the items. if you read this and think you want to go, but feel as if you might be put off by the contents of the bins wear some gloves, use some hand sanitizer and join us! i'll add some tips and unspoken rules just below this so you can feel welcome too! 1. keep your cart with you at all times during this covid pandemic. you will be told by workers that you need one and you can't stray from it 2. if you see people lining up by a row of bins then it means that they're outlet veterans and that those bins are going to be replaced next 3. don't throw clothes towards other people when you're looking. don't know clothes into another bin if someone is actively looking at it. that is one of the rudest things you could do 4. feel free to talk or ask any of the other shoppers who look like they know what they're doing any questions, most are happy to ask and start a conversation 5. organize what you're getting by the categories they have on the posters. it'll save you time at the check out and they'll usually ask you to do it anyway 6. one cart per bin! this means regardless if you come as a trio or solo, the bin is yours until you leave it. sometimes people will ask to see an item or dig at your corners. just tell them it bothers you if it does 7. go against the wall to sort your clothes if you're not waiting for a bin. workers or security may tell you to move or do that elsewhere 8. hands off once the worker starts coming towards you to take your bin. they're just doing their job so respect it i think that's mostly all i can think of but have fun and enjoy it! read more

I know they want to keep people safe but this worker was so rude to me and my friend. we walked in and got a cart and went to a bin that looked good. we had no idea you had to follower them arrows. we didn't even notice them. so we walk to the other side of the store to the bin. this worker comes up to us and tells us we have to follow the arrows. we apologized and told him we didn't even notice them. Then he tells us that we have to follow the rules and makes us go back to the front of the store and follow the line!!!! Which is ridiculous. we were already where we wanted to go and we would have followed the arrows from there. but making us walk back to the front of the store is just outrageous. He also proceeded to follow us around the store just to get the chance to say something to us i'd we did anything wrong. I think he got the idea that he could be rude to us because we are teenagers. But it's not like we were being disrespectful it was an honest mistake. All of the other workers were lovely besides him. i shop here often and they usually have pretty cool stuff. the environment often times feels competitive and toxic. it's quite intimidating and hard to have a fun time when resellers are reaching infront and over you constantly. i've been yelled at by a grown man (i'm 17) for looking at a bin he had set his unattended cart in front of. these customers will puppy guard spaces in front of bins so they can look at stuff first as well. i have seen people sit in, on the side of bins, or even bring their own lawn chairs to sit in while they wait. i haven't really had problems with management, but i wish they wouldn't allow such excessive behavior. the only thing i find irritating with management is how early they take bins away. they only have two lanes of bins for roughly the last two hours of the day. there are definite flaws in how this location is run, but if you keep to yourself, it's a good time read more
