I have been bringing my dogs to this veterinary office for nearly seven years, and I truly cannot say enough positive things about the veterinarians themselves. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and have always treated my dogs with incredible care. I live about 30 minutes away, and for years the commute has been absolutely worth it because of the empathy and quality of care they provide. Unfortunately, the front office staff has increasingly become a major issue and has negatively affected my overall experience. There have been multiple occasions where I've called requesting callbacks or appointments and either never received a response or there was significant miscommunication about messages that were supposed to be relayed to the veterinarians. Today was the final straw. I had a 4:00 PM appointment for my 150-lb St. Bernard who has severe anxiety at the vet. Anyone with a large, anxious dog knows the amount of preparation that goes into a visit. I even had to take vacation time from work so I could leave early to make the appointment, and I medicated her with 300 mg of trazodone ahead of time so she could tolerate the visit. When I arrived at 4:00, I was informed at 4:30 that there were still four people ahead of me. At that point, there was no realistic way my dog could wait to be seen, and by the time they eventually got to us the medication would have worn off. We had no choice but to leave. What's most frustrating is that the office already knew they were running significantly behind before our appointment time. A simple phone call or text to give clients a heads-up would have saved me from taking PTO, driving an hour round-trip, and unnecessarily medicating my dog. It genuinely saddens me to write this because the veterinarians are wonderful, but the ongoing issues with the front desk and communication have made it impossible for me to continue bringing my dogs here. read more

Dr. DeHaan is one of the best Veterinarians I've ever worked with. She is very compassionate and gentle with the animals. I had a cat with a terminal illness that required advanced care. Dr. DeHann was always available to fit us into her busy schedule. In a world where even Vets want to up charge for last minute appointments, she never did that. we have been going to feeder creek for 20+ years and they used to be so compassionate and fair priced. We now have a pregnant cat that we had a question about, they said she needed to be seen and it would be an emergency visit starting at $100 even though it was during business hours OR they said they could see her next week. they said to take her to Diley pet ER or OSU. We notified another vet they asked for pics (she had some blood coming out). we sent pics and they said she was perfectly fine that she would probably be having the kittens very soon. all we wanted feeder creek to do was let us know if it's normal and they have the ability to receive pictures!! they aren't compassionate at all about their clients anymore. they are getting too big and busy and all they want is money money money. sadly we will be leaving this practice as this is not the first time we have gone through this with them. my daughters dog got stung and was having a seizure she ran him in during office hours and was charged $100+ and said it was an emergency visit. this is so sad that they don't care about the animals and only want the $$$. they have also raised the cost of their wellness exams. read more

I wanted to discuss my visit to Feeder Creek this morning. Last week, we boarded our two dogs at Feeder Creek. Gus required several shots. When my wife brought the dogs home yesterday, we noticed Gus had a large lump on his ribs. My guess it was from the shots. My wife called Feeder Creek this morning, to give you a heads up on the issue. You asked that Gus come in for a 10:30am appointment. Here is the problem, universal with all business today. Vet's now charge more than Doctors. Evidently their time is important and has value. I had to take off this morning from work. We are opening a new business and my time is equally valuable and important. I arrived 5 minutes early and was taken to a waiting room. Waiting being the operative word. After 20 minutes (My expectation was the exam would be done in that time), I was still waiting. At the very least, a well run operation would have someone stick their head in the door and give a sit-rep. That was not done. I had to leave. I lost a morning at work, 60 minutes round trip drive time, 30 minutes wasted being ignored and my dog was still not examined. I called and asked that Dr. DeBruin call when he had a moment. That was not done. Evidently the Feeder Creek SOP is that customers are beneath the common courtesy of a call after they screwed the pooch (no pun intended) Feeder Creek should be ashamed of their operation and management.3star read more

This clinic has cared for both my farm animals and my gun dogs for more than 20 years. I have been grateful for the expert, honest, personable attention we have received on every case. The mark of a true professional is the willingness to say, " I don't know, but I will find out. " This includes running a problem by the other veterinarians at the regular staff meetings. The health of my dogs, horses, and cattle is central to my life on the farm, a life that would be much harder without the common sense and conservative approach of the Feedercreek team keeping us up and running. We started taking our dogs to Feeder Creek about a year ago and they were caring and informative at first. Recently we had to have one of our dogs(Archie) put down in an emergency visit, the Dr. administered the first dose to relax him, after about 10-15 minutes Archie got up and walked out of the room so he gave him another dose and then the final shot. We had him cremated, after several calls they finally told me he was back( 10 days later) and they were finishing up his paw print, the next day I called again and they said we are baking the paw print now and it would be ready at 1:00pm, we got there to pick everything up at about 3:30pm. After about 15 minute they brought out the urn and said they would get his paw print, after another 10 minutes a girl came out and said "we didn't do a paw print because it was an emergency visit. So we were lied to about the paw print all along, even during the visit of having him put down the Dr. told us we would get a paw print. When I confronted the girls at the front desk about what they had been telling me, they all looked at each other like deer in the headlights.... NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Randy and Josie Huber read more

Our lambs love Dr. Yardly. They are usually skittish of anyone other than my wife and me but they all came right up to him on his first visit. Feeder Creek makes house calls -- or should I say barn calls in our case. He is very gentle with the lambs when he's here and later is always available by phone for when we have questions. And when we visit the office in Millersport, everyone on the staff is always very kind and courteous. They have a special on Yelp from time to time...when you check-in on Yelp there you'll get a free dog toy! Our little dog really loves that toy. read more
