I visited this beauty supply store on Sunday, July 12, 2026. to purchase hair for braiding, some products for braids, some seashell hair accessories, and body glitter. The large store was very clean, and I took my time browsing for and selecting additional products than the ones I visited for. Only about 3 or 4 cusotmers came in and out while I was there. So the store was not busy. There were no workers on the floor, but also no line at the register. After some time browsing, I asked the guy at the register if he had any body glitter, he said it would be in aisle 2, which I had already checked. I revisited it and there was still none. I find the selection of synthetic hair to be very limited, I was looking for mixtures of 2, 27, and 30. These are popular colors, but there was only one type, and not a mixture. My mother had also asked me to pick up a silvery gray blend, they only had a black and gray blend, which I selected, but it had no price and asked the man at the register to for a price check and without checking, he told me the product was $6.99 (which I thought was strange, because it was significantly smaller than the other package priced $6.99, but it was actually $5.99 when he rang later it up later.) I questioned the price comparing it to the other package, no response. When I moved to the side to call my mother to see if she wanted it, he rudely asked me if I was going to purchase it. I found the shampoo that my daughters like "Mane n' Tail" to be overpriced at $13.99, when I often find it at Stop n Shop for $8.99 and CVS for $10.79 (these are full, not sale prices at these stores). When ringing up my products, the man at register, did not offer me a bag for purchase and after the transaction was over, and all of my products lay on the counter, there was an awkward silence before, I asked whether I could buy a bag. When I told him that I found his customer service to be lacking... no response, no apology, no disagreement, no acknowledgement, which led to me writing this review. Also, when I went to check out, he never asked me if I found the body glitter, or a generic "did you find everything you were looking for?" There is no reason for me to return. read more

wful experience here. i spent 50$ and forgot a product inside. I was not allowed back in when they were not scheduled to close for another 10 minutes. I understand a long day, but she wouldn't even open the door to speak with me. Unprofessional and honestly very unconcerned with customer experience. read more

This is a bad beauty supply I went yesterday it was o max the manager speaked to me with a attitude.

Management is horrible and authenticity of products are questionable. The woman who rung me up never looked up from her phone. When I told her thank you and have a nice day, her response was "uh huh" as she never looked up to acknowledge me. They sold me a bad product and wouldn't take it back bc of their policy. If the product was defected you can make an exception. I will never return. read more

I went in the back to use the bathroom (a door leading into a back room area was opened) while I had guests from out of town shopping in the store and came back out to the Asian woman and a short Indian or West Indian guy with glasses bitching and actually yelling at me saying how I should've asked to use the bathroom, and that's their stockroom, and how this isn't my own house. I apologized at first but yelled back at them when they continued on, that they shouldn't keep the door opened to that area if they don't want people going back there, plus there was a smiley face on the bathroom door, so I saw no indications saying bathrooms were for employees only. All they had to do was politely say that the bathroom was for employees only in an area unaccessible to customers and to ask next time. Regardless of the situation, that was the rudest encounter I've had with any store employees in a while, and anyone who treats paying customers like that deserves to fail as a business, in a day and age where you can easily go down the street to another competitor and they took this for granted. They'll have to find this out the hard way and I hope they do. I will never step foot in here again, I will give them bad recommendations, and never give them a penny read more

I love this place. There are so many options to choose from that I can't get at my local beauty supply store.

I attended this establishment quite frequently in the past mainly for the sake of convenience. They also carry a decent amount of natural hair care lines although I have found the same products cheaper at Target. I visited today to pick up eco styling gel and a few other items. Unable to locate an item, I asked one of the employees if it was in stock. The employee was sitting near a pile of boxes watching a sporting event on his phone. He looked up and indicated he did not know and that it could be in one of these boxes and then continued to view his phone. I searched the store for additional items and was only able to find one thing I needed. I proceeded to purchase my one item and noticed that there was no one at the checkout counter. Another patron was waiting to checkout out as well. I approached another staff member and advised her that I was ready to check out. She let out a deep sigh and then pointed to the counter. I informed her that no one was there. She then said if you go there someone would come. Unbeknownst to her, the other patron had been waiting for assistance. She then directed someone to help us both. The store in itself is not that great. They do not carry hard to find products. Nor do they carry an interesting array of extensions, wigs and weaves in most colors. You would think that their customer service would be outstanding. It is not. read more

The cashier is very rude and unprofessional. Yesterday I went in and purchased a pack of hair and a comb. When I got home the comb was not in my bag so today I came back to retrieve it. After speaking with the owner I than saw the cashier that rang me and up and packed the bag and told the owner that she was the one that helped me yesterday. Belligerently, the cashier raises her voice "Yeah I remember you from yesterday, I folded the pack of hair up with the comb in the middle" I simply said "ma'am if the comb was in the back I would not be in here right now" She replies again belligerently "Well I do this everytime I pack the bag, I put the comb in the middle so it probably fell out" I proceeded to get another comb. When I got back to the register she was still talking and I walked away. I will NEVER EVER come back here again. The sad part is that I've been coming here for a while and nothing has an issue. The workers here have no manners whatsoever except for one who takes care of the wigs. It always your own kind that acts out of line. Over this place. Check your back before walking out. read more

This is my favorite beauty supply store in the area simply because they have a large selection of brands and products. My only issue is that their prices can be very high. I guess it's because they know they carry products that a lot of other places don't carry. Otherwise, it's an awesome store. They also sell different types of braiding hair, weaves and wigs. read more

If I could give a minus 1 rating I would. I normally don't write reviews but today's experience warrants one. I've worked in the Bronx my whole life and I'm over 50 years old and I've never experienced such disrespect in all my life being a paying customer. I called the store about a hair toner and she quoted me 4.99 tells me she has five and I said ok, I'll take them I'm on my way. I get there in 10 minutes and I tell her, " hi I just called about the toner", so she walks to where they're located and tell me "5.49 each". I said," you just told me 4.99", she says "5.49 it went up". She was raising the price as I walked in. I replied "you should honor what you told me on the phone because I drove here to buy them". After going to put them back on the shelf she said "ok 4.99 and that's it no more the price went up". I say "ok, Thank you" and proceed to purchase them. She says "Oh, great you buying them all" in a very frustrated sarcastic way. I said "yes", she proceeds to scan them and slams them across the counter in anger, saying "see its 5.49". I say "I see that but you told me 4.99 you shouldn't get upset with me for buying what I need at the price you gave me". She then says " Oh shut up, you talk too much". I was baffled by her behavior. I forgive her if she's mentally ill but not if this is common practice. I then say, "I didn't do anything wrong, I just want to purchase this", she says again " oh shut up, you talk to much and leave" at that point I couldn't help myself and said " you know what F you" and she says " f you get out. Honestly, this is borderline psychotic behavior and she should get help or not be in business. I remember the days when people used to say Thank You after purchasing, this is not a place that does it. BEWARE. I'LL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

I was in the store forever because there was no one to help at all. I saw the owner after a long while, she just passed me by, on her way back out of the stockroom, I asked her about a product and she whisked away with her answer like she was in a rush to get to where she was going in the front or whereever. She did try to help after her conscience kicked in but it was not at all professional and what I wanted was not available or close to it. The other worker was no help at all either and spoke to me as if I was dumb. I walked a long distance to no avail. It was the only store open at this time, closes at 8:15PM. If I had somewhere else to go, I would've been gone. Experience is the best teacher, I will be back in Neveruary. read more

This is my favorite beauty supply store. They are always stocked and carry so many products. The only con is that occasionally a worker will mysteriously pop in on the aisle you are shopping in & follow you around the store. Besides the stalking this store is great. read more

The lady who owns this store is the RUDEST person I have ever met. Instead of asking me if I needed help, she looked in my face and GRUNTED! We don't deserve words anymore apparently. When I GRUNTED back in response she was offended. Really??? I'll NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME THERE. You can't expect to take Our money and treat us like we are less than human. read more
