The hair is good, but definitely NOT all 100% total human hair. The hair will start to melt in the flat iron. It sheds like crazy and if you lay down (are rough on your hair), once you get up, you're struggling to tame it. I'm not putting them down because I've been using them for years now, but I've been braiding and single tracking. I just realized this after a hair pro showed me. Plus, I decided to buy hair from another establishment (almost twice the amount per ounce), and I realized this was true. I was able to do my thing, get up, throw my fingers through my hair and look good again (with no shedding). (LOL) I would use them again for braiding, but for a full weave? - - uh uh! My friend took me to Bronx Hair supply to get hair for my wedding day. Since she was going to style my hair for my big day she thought it would be good for me to get really good hair. I ended up purchasing the straight human hair that gets curly when wet. I figured that would be perfect since i was going to D.R. for my honeymoon and planned on getting in the pool and hanging out at the beach. I spent about $250 for 8 ounces of hair and we were good to go......or so I thought...... Everything was fine until I went swimming in the pool. I had my hair in a bun and after swimming I decided to lie down on the chaise so I took my bun out. After lying there for awhile I got up and noticed that the area on my towel where my head was at was stained -- it looked like the hair had a rinse or dye in it that was running. I didn't realize that it also damaged my white bathing suit. Everywhere the hair touched got stained and after trying to wash it out I had to throw out my brand new bathing suit. I was completely surprised as I have worn human hair from other stores plenty of times and I have never experienced such a thing. Needless to say I will stick to paying my $40 a pack for human hair in a regular beauty supply store. At least that hair doesn't run. read more

A little hole in the wall place (pictures added). I got the Indian Straight hair (has some wave to it once wet and air dried). But this hair shreds, smells, and leaks dye like crazy!!!! You know that weave smell?? Yeah that's not cute to have when you're on the train and people instantly know it's a weave...and a bad one at that! Definitely like the review before me, stick with the Beauty Supply Hair, Outre, any Remy hair, just not this. Should've written this review a long time ago, I was just so pissed at how much money I spent smh. Note: When I was there the credit/debit card machine didn't work and they had to keep swiping my card which made me nervous. They do not sell 100% human hair as advertised. These people mix synthetic w bits of human. Once installed and apply heat to style hair it's automatically starts popping, breaking off and frizzing/ burning up. At first I thought the quality felt a bit rough but as soon as my hair dresser tried to style me she began questioning where I had purchased hair from as soon as I told her I got from Bronx Hair supply in Westchester she said "oh nooo do not get from them they started selling fake hair I had few other customers come here w hair from them and no hood quality because same thing happened" and this is coming from a neighboring hair salon on the same Westchester ave. I've purchased hair from them several times but the last two purchases have been a total waste of money quality has went down the drain they got hip to their clientele and starting meshing synthetic w human smh very distasteful mind you I went here considering the owner and her daughters where patients at my job. I've been using Bronx Hair Supply now for about 8 years. I've had a couple of bad ounces but this is by far the worst. I can usually stretch my hair to as long as a year but this barely made it to 3 months and I am very upset about it. I've over looked shedding and even some tangles over the years. Every trip is 8 ounces or more which equals to $300 -$400. This time I purchased 10 ounces at damn near $400. I can't even believe how this hair looks. I've tried deep conditioning (which they told me to try when I called to tell them about this). Went to the salon as I always do and have been charged extra due to the detangling that has to be done. It's ridiculous. I am so sad because this use to honestly be the best hair on the market but I will NEVER purchase from here again nor recommend anyone anymore. read more

I was in a rush and needed some hair so against my better judgement I purchased some Spanish wavy and body wave hair. The family that owns the place is extremely nice and helpful but their product is awful. I figured my stylist, who can work miracles with any kind of hair could work with it. The hair was beautiful after I co-washed it but when I installed it my JESUS. The hair tangles and sheds excessively. $360 down the drain. While I waited for my hair 3 customers came in within 10mins to purchase hair. I guess they have loyal customers and the hair may work for them but it damn sure doesn't work for me. read more

My hair stylist took me hear after by coincidence she saw me at a Manhattan store and they were charging me $395 + 10 per clips for 2onz hair clip on extensions just to add length to my hair I was about to pay when she said NO let me take you to another place well I thank her for that...is been almost two years now and my extensions still going strong they look just as I purchased them in April 2013 I have to noted that I only use them occasionally and that I'm very impressed for the quality. I recently use the same hair with the micro-ring technique since my stylist said the hair was in perfect condition and is been over 3 month watching my hair every 3 days going to the gym daily and my hair still soft and manageable. I'll definitely be returning soon to this place to purchase more hair since I'm darkening my hair. Im not the type to write reviews but I have to share my experience with this place + I only spend $78 with highlight for the spanish weave hair the more close match for my hair. I have been getting hair from here for years,The quality is great, i read some of the lower reviews,& none of that makes sense 2me,maybe those were just one-Offs bcuz i have never had a issue,in the past ten years,i get weaves so my hair looks fuller,i got a weave for my sisters wedding & it was so great,a few tracks of weave & i wore & re used it & re sewed it in 4 the whole rest of the year,i still have it 2this day,i dont wear weaves as much 2day,but if whenever i decide 2use it again,Boom its right there in my drawer,i dont need 2go out & buy another 1,other stores,u use it like 2 times & it comes apart,BHS has the best quality around, great owner, great shop, def wont go nowhere else read more

By far the best hair I've ever brought. I purchased the Spanish wavy 18 in and I'm going on close to a year using the hair. Given I do deep conditioners and weekly washes. They have every possible color and will blend the hair to get your exact shade. Only downside is that the hair sheds a lot however it does not tangle like a lot of other brands. read more

Have been buying hair from them for yrs. I'm not a hair expert but when I buy hair from them I get a ton of compliments and I have hair that I purchased from them for years now. I mainly get braiding hair as I don't really like full weaves. The tracks I have I primarily use for my buns, no complaints. The shop is in need of some TLC though and there is always a wait. I don't know I just never have luck with pre packaged hair, so I stick to my pound hair. read more

I've been getting Spanish Wavy 1B or 4 hair since 2010 and love it. I lived in NC so my stylist would order it or pick it up when she was visiting NY. Extremely disappointed in the Hair. I purchased a total of 5 oz Hair of the curly/wavy and was told I could color the hair. The amount of hair I lost was ridiculous. Even after it was installed, I still lost Hair. After purchasing 5oz I'm left with maybe 2 in a half ounces in my actually Hair. I spent so much money for nothing. Even the texture of the hair is horrible. They claim 100% human hair but that is such a lie. The texture of hair and how much falls out is ridiculous. I've bought hair from them for about 6 years now... I've never had any issues with their hair ... I used to purchase Spanish wave to wear it straight .. Then Spanish mixed with yaki perm ..my last purchase was last month I bought 20 inch Spanish wave mixed with yaki and I have no issues with it at all ... I'm actually on my way there today to purchase a few more ounces for backup because I ran out of hair when I got my hair done last month but thank goodness I had some brand new leftover 18 inches of yaki perm and Spanish to complete the job... read more

Love their hair! Have tried other similar hair places and personally I like the quality of BHSC better. I can go all day without combing my hair which cuts down on shedding. I use the darkest black hair and yes the color runs when wet. Since I know this, I use old dark towels when washing my hair. Here's an idea how good this hair is....I have 80% Spanish wavy and 20% Indian wavy in now . I've had it in since the 1st week in May. It can be worn straight or wavy when wet. I just came from DR. A week of swimming at the beach and in the pool. I washed and conditioned the hair after each day of swimming. Blow dried it, added a little anti- frizz serum before and after blow drying and it looked like I just left the salon. One day I washed/conditioned the hair, towel dried ONLY and went to bed. It was a hot, tangled mess when I woke up. If you DON'T do this , wash/condition and keep hair moisturized, you won't have any problems with this hair. read more

Recently purchased the spanish wavy hair. Curl pattern is GREAT but the hair sheds ALOT when wet. The hair also tangles. Hair would probably do better if the wefts were sewn differently. Would rec the hair because it looks good when not tangled and maybe you would have a better experience. read more

I bought the Spanish wave hair, it is nice and same thickness throughout , I suggest washing it before putting it on, because its hard and tangles a lot. After the wash its good, my big problem is that it sheds!!! It sheds more than I think it should, so please Bronx Hair Supply start sowing the wefts better. I think that should help make a difference. read more
