She was refused service for arriving TWO minutes past "cut-off" time, despite having attempted to call and notify the office multiple times that she would be late due to unexpected construction/traffic (she was only able to leave a message, which they ignored). The receptionist and head nurse were rude and even laughed at my mother's situation. The other two receptionists were blithely talking on what appeared to be personal calls. There was only one family in the waiting room. DO NOT see this practice if you are looking for a professional, caring medical staff. My mother has lived in San Antonio for 31 years and has never experienced this kind of a horrific experience. I am praying that she gets the medical help she needs, since now she can't find anybody who will see her before the New Year. What a travesty and a disgrace. Beware.

Their NP's who work with him, especially Kimberly is also pretty good and is more thorough in updating my vaccines and with preventive visits. Dr. Paley lately works Mondays and Wednesdays, and I've met him several times. Although, I routinely visit once a year. He is very personable, and easy to connect with.

Even for a basic office visit you may be waiting 2 hours after your appointment time to be seen by a provider. Test result follow-ups are very slow, even after they show up on the patient portal. Providers are also slow to write orders when test results are alarming to the patient. Dr. Coutinho used to be great but if you go here now odds are you will just see one of his PAs rather than the Dr. himself. I have nothing against PAs but the care here is simply not up to standard.

I obviously will not reschedule but when I asked why one doctors visit would be $900 out of pocket they said they charged me for two visits because I discussed my problems with the doctor and supposedly received a physical. I tried to explain I would not have gone through with the appointment if they had told me they didn't accept my insurance or the cost of the visit without insurance. When I called billing to see what they could do, they only offered to cut my bill in half so my one visit would could $450 instead. This place is a scam.

He thoroughly explained my situation, the risks involved, the benefits involved, and then looked at every one of my written questions and answered them in detail and double checked to make sure I had no more questions or concerns before I left. His nurse, Patty, was equally awesome. Dr. Biediger did my thyroid lobectomy surgery in November. My incision was sewn up beautifully and is healing nicely. My follow-up care has been equally wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Biediger, he is an amazing thyroid surgeon.
