I've been seeing Dr. Drogin for 25 years. He is amazing and caring. He is always on time for appointments and takes the time to listen and he remembers your life. We moved away from San Antonio and I found a new doctor in our town and it was a horrible experience. I then would drive to SA for many years to see Dr Drogin until Telehealth came out. It has been wonderful. I have anxiety and what he has prescribed has worked beautifully. He does warn you about certain medication that are addictive and with lorazepam I only use it when Im flying or have a massive panic attack. 1 pill or 1mg is enough when this happens. He taught me cognitive behavior therapy for my anxiety and panic attacks and they work! Im so blessed to have such an informed doctor caring for my mental health. He also encouraged me to seek out talk therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy. If someone is complying about their care from him, they are more than likely upset because he would not prescribe the drug they were seeking. I hope this helps everyone. read more

I started seeing Dr Drogin after my long time childhood doctor retired.. and Dr Drogin was one of the many that my previous doctor had on a list of recs When I FIRST starting seeing Dr Drogin it was back when he still had an office and FULL STAFF- it was fantastic. He was great, as were his 7-9 employees working solely for him and his office.. He use to even open his office a few hours EACH DAY for walk-in appointments... He truly cared about people and the mental well being. Not to imply he no longer does per se but.. With him no longer having an office and staff and is now strictly video appointments.. along with an online scheduler... he's certainly not as accessible as he used to be, to say the least. Big thing to take away from this review is.. make sure you don't put off setting up your follow up appointments and NEVER MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT!! Because, heaven forbid, something legitimately comes up... you're kinda up a creek until he has another opening which is a minimum of 5+ months OUT. I made the detrimental mistake of missing a follow up.. And it went downhill for me for a bit but after quite a stretch of time since I had last seen him, I finally got my appointment and all is well. And everything is as it should be again. But Dr Drogin.. Once you get an appointment and get your face to face.. He will do all he can for you that's best for you. Good luck yall read more

Completely agree with Sean D. I do not see Drogin anymore and makes me sad other find him great! I saw him for about 1 1/2 years before it went south. Before I needed very little meds for flight anxiety so visits were quick and easy. Life happened and I needed just more than 8 pills for flights. I was having panic attacks just trying to leave the house. During this time I have been with a wonderful talk therapist and knew I was drowning in stress NOT DEPRESSION. I told Drogin this and he said "well you can't help it you have depression and counseling isn't working". I tried again saying "no I know the difference, I am stressed". He prescribed me 4 meds!! Hard core meds at that....at the same time!!! I took them for 2 days and tossed them out. He over prescribes for sure!!! He does not listen to his patience. Stay away!!! He will set you up to be a wonderful patient on the Big Pharm conveyor belt. read more

First of all, stay away from his receptionists. They are all grumpy, rude, selfish, crude people that give no shits about you. Second, this is not the best psychiatristry. It's very sad so many people see him. Hes does not listen, over medicates and shows no empathy. If you do some digging you'll find his history and it's not squeaky clean. He was responsible for very bad things. Look it up yourself. Third, would not surprise me if hes paying off all those people and organizations who give him awards. read more

Been going here for years! professional space and nice staff. I like that we have the option to check the weight before every appointment. If they are running late they will let you walk the shops around and there is a Starbucks near so the wait doesn't seem too bad. They will then call you with enough time to get back. He is very nice and asks about your life to see how it is going. He is all about finding solutions which is great. Do book appointments in advance. read more

Dr. Drogin's office is one of the worst I've ever been to. Sure, it's clean and stuff, but the staff are brusque and downright rude, dismissive, impatient, etc. It's impossible to get a quick appointment with him. His office doesn't honor refill requests, so getting refills is difficult. One of the best decisions I've made was switching doctors. read more

If you need a doctor for psychiatric drugs find another one. Drogin just fills out prescriptions and that's it. He doesn't go into what's wrong with you just gives writes you some prescriptions and off you go. If you have to cancel an appointment for whatever reason good luck trying to get another one. It's been two months and I haven't been able to get another appointment. Also their office hours say 8:30 and there can be 3 people in the office but they won't answer the phone. I've been going to Dr. Drogin's office for over 4years now and he never disappoints. I've recommended him to family and friends who love him too. He's extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He really takes time to listen to me. Anyone who gets upset with him probably has troubles in life because he one of the most easy going, patient doctors around. I'm thankful for next day appointments and I'm thankful for him. He's a family practitioner AND a psychiatrist who graduated from Harvard Medical School.... not too shabby. Ha! I moved back to Texas a couple years ago. Dr. Drogin was my Physician for many years prior to my move to Florida. My first order of business when I returned was to see a physician with my numerous health issues and I wanted to see Dr. Mark Drogin. He is THE BEST OF THE BEST! Prior to my move DR. Drogin noticed on a CT a number of cysts he believed to be suspicious and told me to seek medical attention the moment I was settled in. Don't you I was super busy forgot the conversation and went on with my life. Then I woke several days in a row with fatigue and symptoms of abdominal pain. My brain fished that info back out remembering the conversation I had with him. I saw someone at the hospital who did not thin anything was wrong. They tested me again and stated they were just cysts. I had them contact Dr. Drogin's office for my records with his detailed assessment. I went home discharged from the hospital and disgusted no one listened. A few days later I ended up back at the hospital. This time another test different ER doctor. I was admitted! A couple days later the Dr. on staff tell us he will be releasing me but he wanted me to IMMEDIATELY UPON DISCHARGE FIND A SURGICAL GYNECOLOGICAL ONCOLOGY! Moffitt Cancer Center it was and I was immediately operated on. After I was told I had 31 cystic/lesions one was cancerous the rest benign. One weighing 11pounds. I ended up gettting some chemo from a different local doctor because Moffitt was 2 hours from my residence. The Dr. who gave the chemo stated that Dr. Drogin had great cause for concern as I ended up septic. Had I not remembered t hug e conversation and taken him seriously I would have died within days! Dr.Drogin saved my life! His staff is so very professional and has always been super nice and caring to me as well as my family. He was my grandmother's primary care doctor and she lived to be 94 because of many of his recommendations. He also sees my mother and father. I have great respect for his staff and appreciate all they have done for me and my family. They took me back as a patient immediately upon my return. Dr. Drogin is a genius. I have so much respect for him. He has been my doctor for almost two years and although I was skeptical at first when I came in at first, he was hit the head on the nail and diagnosed me correctly and got me on the right medications. I have been seeing Dr. Drogin for many years. He is brilliant. He remembers more about me than I do. He clearly loves what he does. There are at times a wait period to see him. He is only one guy, he takes as much time as you need and he is very popular. I would rather take the wait time and get the care I need (I am very important to me), then be in and out without the complete care and feeling rushed. I have been to other physicians and have had to wait as well. He is very personable and cares. His practice is perfect for me as he takes care of mind and body. If it is beyond his realm he recommends other physicians. I just hope he does not retire anytime soon. read more

1. Front receptionist lady is rude, not compassionate and has an attitude that has no place when dealing with sick or especially mentally ill people. 2. Even with an appointment made 3 months in advance I still have to wait over 2 hours before being seen and then i'm only seen by Dr. Mark Drogin for five minutes or less. 3. I have been seeing him for many years and he has given up on me. Doesn't seem to care and is not compassionate when I have constant thoughts of ending my life. 4. All he asks is about the medications and even though i'm 30 years old he treats me like i'm a child. It is upsetting and makes me feel even more depressed due to his lack of care. He will not listen or respond to anything you say and won't take anything you say seriously. 5. I may not know as much as a doctor but i've spent most my life learning all about the brain, anatomy, medicine, my mental illnesses. He still ignores what I have to say. 6. He is my only option for help and yet the last time I saw him I left crying and he said nothing or did nothing to help ease me. Horrible doctor for people with mental illness. read more
