We saw this bagel place and upon our return to Vermont, we stopped at this bagel shop on Sunday mid-morning. Sesame bagels, the only kind they make Montreal style, were being boiled and baked in a wood fired oven by the proprietor and his staff. Made with organic flour and local honey, these bagels are soft, chewy, sweet and oh so good with locally made cream cheese. The owner made a great latte from their espresso machine and in talking with him, he takes great pride in producing an excellent bagel. Perfect place to take our kid to eat a fresh bagel.

The sandwich was outrageously yummy, and my kids devoured the bag of bagels in two days. Welp, that sandwich was living rent free in my head for the whole next month... so you know the next time I was driving by, I had to swing through with my two boys. This time I got the islander on a honey sriracha cheddar bagel that was out of this world. I've yet to try any of the sweet bakery treats but I'm eyeing those next. This is definitely the best food spot I've found for my 4.5 hour trek between NH & NY. Sandwiches pair perfectly with a coffee, a podcast, open windows and some nice sunny weather. Today, we placed an online order, came to the store half an hour later, and were still waiting for it an hour and ten minutes after having placed the order. When I asked to speak with a manager, she seemed irritated to be pulled away from drink orders (that had just been placed!) to address a family that had been waiting 70 minutes. She made staffing and order-volume excuses and took little genuine responsibility for the flawed process that led to the delays (and I had plenty of time to watch their processes while we waited!). As a local who wants to support a local business, I didn't want anything other than genuine listening; instead I got deflection. And when we got home we realized they hadn't given us one of the items from our order!!

After doing a little research I found out that they do New York Style bagels, something I've never had. Why not try some while close to New York? I ordered a Lox Bagel Sandwich on Salted Garlic, Toasted Bagel, a small Coffee with Maple Syrup and Almond Milk and a Propel Water. That sandwich was everything and the salted garlic option was the best choice I could have made! The bagel while toasted was still so soft and tasted differently from every other bagel I've ever had. My mom would probably say "it's the water". Maybe she's right. I loved it. The coffee was delicious too. Everything Maple while in Vermont, right?
