I had a "F-A-F-O" moment…read more.... I read the reviews very carefullly and I still drove 45 miles from my home to this cleaners - only to find that they don't value customers, your garments, or quality service. Backstory - I found this cleaners (Zips) due to low prices and they have several franchises all over (so convenient, right?). I have been to 3 locations. Disappointed by all of them!!! Zips is definitely in the dictionary for "you get what you pay for". They lost my garment, then tried to blame me (several different reasons/excuses). AND they changed their story too many times for it to be true. I know a liar and a liar's telltale signs when I come in contact.....IF you want quality handling of your precious garments - don't try to save a buck, as you will "FAFO" with ZIPS!!! spend a little extra for peace of mind.

Here's the story my previous card ( which was on file got compromised ) of course I got another--just never went back to update them. After further analyzing this in my head--my previous card got compromised, you want me to actually put another card in your ZIPS SYSTEM--just so you can process my clothing. Why can't they be paid for when I pick them up??? Is it because I'm Black?? I am suppose to trust your zips system, your employees ( Not saying they would ) with access to my card, The way things are in this world right now. Furthermore, one of 'your employees' even stated--they wouldn't have there card on file here as well. BUT they also mentioned to me --it could be paid for when you come in to retrieve your clothes--that's why I wasn't concerned was permitted to keep the zip bag--my zip tag serial number was attached to the bag...so my clothes could be identified! No negative impact whatsoever from other places

One staff member told me " the other girl " did it and proceeded to tell me the wrong jacket was the one I brought in to have cleaned! That was so ludicrous I just laughed. A son of the manager told me they did not carry insurance for lost or damaged items because they " only lost one or two items a year " and it wasn't worth the premium. The days of business ethics , customer service and customer satisfaction is gone . I will never use them again. The only reason there is a one star rating is I cannot post my review without it . This is ridiculous considering the business has been charging upon pick up for decades. Going to another cleaners. They lost my business permanently. BTW this place doesn't have the same owners as the Phillips you all know from the old days. Some dude in DE bought the name a couple years ago.
