One of the pilings supporting our boat lift and canopy broke in half during the storm. Less than 12 hours after speaking to Keegan at Coastline he had a crew out there to remove the framework and get it off of my boat. They took it away for repair all before 9:00 AM. With all that's going on. These men and their co-workers left their own families came out and assisted me in freeing up my boat and took away my canopy for repair. Well, the accent line must not have been primed correctly as it has already shown through the black with only about 30 miles of cruising and one bottom cleaning. We had also wanted an outside rail reattached in a couple of spots. We were told that they would have to take the inside salon walls off to complete that - needless to say we declined it and fixed it ourselves when we got back to home port with some heavy duty anchors and screws. We also wanted a little fiberglass work done on a vent housing. They're fiberglass guy was very unenthusiastic and quoted us $3000. Again, we declined the service. After all of the work was completed on our boat they graciously let us drive our 44 foot 5th wheel close to their docks so we could move onto the boat. Then all of the staff including the 70 year old GM in 100 degree heat started moving our boxes and bags of home goods onto the boat and we didn't even ask! In the planning stages their "we can do that!" attitude, the way Nick returned phone calls quickly, his enthusiastic professionalism set them apart from other builders. We were happy with the type/specifications of the lift they included in the bid plus the canopy and tiki sub-contractors they chose. They were not the lowest bidders but we felt assured that they would deliver quality work. And they 100% did. This positive attitude followed through into the construction phase where the crews showed up as scheduled and, once they started, worked non-stop from 8am to dark, and even weekends sometimes. They worked like an efficient, well-managed team. They told me the engine (with only 107 hours on it was not worth fixing and pushed me to just replace it for over $20,000. Dejected, on my way home, I stopped into Pier 41 Marine, also in Ft. Myers. The general manager Mike Lueneburg, came out, gave me a hearty, friendly handshake and listened to my story. He could not have been more pleasant. He immediately did a compression check on the 200 Yamaha and told me that he felt it was not nearly as bad as Fishtale said. He treated me with respect, and dignity. As a retired high school guidance counselor with 37 years of experience, I am a good judge of character. Mike Lueneburg has honesty, character, and integrity in spades. If you are looking for a great deal on a beautiful pontoon boat, or if you need service on your existing boat, you cannot do better than Pier 41 Marine in Ft. Myers. In addition to being the general manager, Mike is also a highly competent marine tech. He got my Yamaha up and running quickly and efficiently for a fraction of the cost that Fishtale quoted. He also determined that the trim motor which Fishtale told me was leaking, was in fact not leaking. What a difference between the 2 dealerships. If you check Pier 41 reviews, you will find glowing reviews with all 5 star ratings. If I could give Mike Lueneburg and Pier 41 Marine higher than 5 stars, I would. THEY DESERVE IT. Bought a 2024 ( New ) Twin Vee. Had it shipped to Ohio without seeing the unit in person - not the…read moresmartest move I guess. I received the unit with three mismatched old batteries. The house battery was ruptured , shorted out and it burnt up my 80 amp breaker. Luckily I am good at marine electrical so I was able to replace the breaker and at the same time I replaced all of the old batteries.There is no Twin Vee dealer in the Sandusky / Huron Ohio area so I had to pay for it all. I asked Ryco Marine for some financial help with at least the breaker and the batteries. I was informed that I paid less than they paid Twin Vee for the boat so they could not help me out. Very Sad Service.
