    Warm olives
    M M.

A definite stop for dinner in Stratford after a play. A warm atmosphere with fabulous flavours and exceptional service - Christine. We started with warm olives, meatballs and mussels sambuca followed by the Letto pizza (special), penne Marcelo and rigatoni manzo with braised beef. Finished it off with crème brûlée, lemon cheesecake squares and tartufo. Highly recommend this restaurant and making a reservation is a must.

Complementary bread was cold but soft

Decided to try this place for dinner. We were a party of two. The host was standoffish upon our arrival and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, it was 530pm with plenty of tables still free. Our server (Beckalini) was very pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered the following: 1. One lb mussels a casa-about 30-35 PEI mussels. Mussels were a good size, the flavour was delicious and not too salty. Soup was great to dip the complementary bread into. (The complementary bread was cold but soft) 2. Veggie Lasagna - made with grilled eggplant and cheese with a side of arugula and garlic butter toasted bread. It was a tad on the salty side but oh so good. The arugula paired with each bite of the Lasagna made for a great combination. The garlic butter toast was sooo good. 3. Classic Lasagna - very rich but so yummy. Layers had two types of meat (beef and pork), two cheeses (mozzarella and ricotta) and lots of basil. It also came with two slices of garlic butter toast. 4. Mini Creme Brûlée - very cute. Very sweet. Sugar wasn't burnt so that was good. Overall an ok brûlée 5. Chianti - received a full glass (about 150ml) for $9.50. Medium bodied, semi-sweet, happy with the flavour Overall we were happy we gave the place a try. Bonus: we sat by the window beside the radiator so it was nice and warm on a cold windy day.

    Penne Fellini

Loved the ambience of Fellini's. A few friends and I visited the restaurant and were not disappointed! We started with the bruschetta. The bread was warm and delicious, and the bruschetta itself was fresh. It was tomatoey and garlicky, just how bruschetta should be! I loved the bread, honestly. It was warm and seemed to be baked with olive oil (?) Whatever it was, it was amazing, fresh and soft with the perfect amount of crisp to it. Once we ran out, our server got us more bread. I chose the penne fellini. It was fresh, and I loved the lighter pesto sauce that was used as opposed to the traditional heavier pesto. The pasta was perfectly al dente! The portions were also good for what you pay for - we all left stuffed. I'd definitely return!

Having spent a weekend earlier in the year in Stratford neither was I keen about some of the prices that the downtown restaurants like to charge. Pazzo Taverna and Pizzeria seemed to be the answer. At 6PM we actually were able to book a 7:30 table. The room was still busy when we arrived and there was a small crowd waiting but we were seated quickly with menus. The bill of fare is pretty much limited to salads, a couple of appetizer choices, a variety of pizzas, and a handful of pasta dishes. Still, a Marco Polo pizza (roast chicken, sun dried tomatoes, feta, & basil) for me and Spaghetti & Meatballs for my spouse suited our dining preferences. My spouse had a glass of a Spanish Red with her meal, I was satisfied with just water. We were impressed that everything on their wine list was available by the glass as well as by the bottle. Also, we got some satisfaction to see Canadian, Italian, and other countries' wines with one particular exception. (As for that, take your annexation threats and stuff it where you're storing all the Bourbon that isn't crossing the border either.) For my wife's spaghetti, the pasta was fresh and the meatballs plentiful. As for my pizza, I found it flavourful with fresh Basil and the crust was thin and crisp. Portion sizes were more and sufficient as we both had something to take away. Service was quick and cheerful. The room cleared out quickly as we expect a lot of tables were headed for an evening curtain. Still, there seem to be a lot of hard surfaces and it can get a bit loud, it did get a lot better once more tables departed. While not cheap we felt we received value for money, especially compared to some of the other nearby establishments. We'll still go there but from time to time it's nice not to have to fork over 3-digits on a dinner for two.

The most delicious Italian cuisine and best carbonara I have ever had!…read more I used to eat at the Ennio's Waterloo location frequently when I was a university student at the Waterloo location, but this was my first time at the Kitchener location, and it was very nostalgic. When I was first introduced to the spaghetti carbonara, I have never had a carbonara in my life and it was the most delicious dish I have ever tasted that when I visited Italy and ordered spaghetti carbonara everywhere I went, I was very disappointed because I thought this dish at Ennio's was the standard. It is very rich and creamy, with a generous amount of bacon and mushrooms. The server added extra parm cheese and cracked peppers (I didn't tell him to stop for a very long time). We also got the veal, which was good, but the marinara spaghetti was mediocre. We also always get the calamari rustica, which is the best fried calamari I have ever tasted. It has a lightly breaded coat with a sweet and spicy sauce that is to die for. The portions are very generous, and although I tried to stuff myself and eat it all, I had 25% of my pasta left over and no room for dessert. I usually always get the tiramisu, which I was glad they still serve but unfortunately did not have any room in my stomach at all that day. The dishes at this Kitchener location are very consistent with what I remember from my visits to the Waterloo location and am very impressed with the portions. The prices have definitely gone up since my last visit years ago, but I still think it's reasonably priced in our current economy and worth every penny! I prefer the ambiance at the Waterloo location because it feels like a family owned pasta house, whereas, the Kitchener location feels more like a chain restaurant. The service was much slower (waited 10 minutes for menus and over 20 minutes for our appetizer and over 30 minutes for our main dishes on a not so busy Friday night at 9pm). However, the quality of the food and service are comparable between the two locations (food tastes similar and friendly staff). The parking at the Kitchener location is also easier than the Waterloo location since it is located in a large plaza. I would definitely go back to this location since this is closer to the 401 highway and more convenient for travellers driving through the city but if I had more time, I would go back to my nostalgic Waterloo location!

The serving lady was very nice and helpful. I was so disappointed to hear that most of the menu items weren't available, but I was so excited to try homemade pizza and past in an Italian restaurant.
