The doctors here really are warm, friendly discreet and respectful. The front end staff is also friendly and they are accomodating. This is such a busy office and they do the best they can to get you in. This is my one beef with this office and that is the fact that they are soooo busy. If you need to get in to see your ASAP, making an appointment for later in the day or even the day after is next to impossible and you have to go as a walk-in. I have to admit this is disappointing, but you have to keep in mind that at this moment, Sylvan does not have an urgent care facility. So the doctor's offices in town take on that volume. I do think that that extra workload can make quality care difficult and thus this office is aggressively advocating the urgent care unit. With the population growth in the last few years, our community sorely needs it! If you really do need care after hours and can't make it into Red Deer, doctors are available on call. I did have to utilize this once and the doctor was kind, attentive and did not feel put out for the visit. Mind you, I did need it! I would recommend this office if you are looking for a family doctor. However, as mentioned before, due to the population of Sylvan, be aware that scheduling is difficult, but do keep in mind that the demand is out of their hands.

He prescribed me Chinese herb and also gave me acupuncture. 2 days only my period stop and about one week my pain go away. Until now (1 year later) all those symptom never happen again. In fact it's not easy to get an appointment with him for a reason. Clearly there are a lot of satisfied patients. I can only give 3/5 here though, as I'd rather give 3.5/5 but can't. The reason for the A-OK rating is that I had a pretty significant ski accident, and hurt my knee. I was recommended by a co-worker to go there, so I did. After two treatments, I was told that I should be good to go, and that it wouldn't be out of the question to see me back on the slopes for some spring skiing. What I found funny about this is my knee was nowhere NEAR ready for any such activity. The stability was hardly there, and as of today, I have yet to return to the hills and that was closing in on 3 years ago. I ended up going to a sports therapist to get it to where it is now (close to healthy). What probably should have happened after that was a third checkup to see how it was doing, along with some proper stretches that could have helped speed up the recovery. The injury I sustained was similar to what some NHLers experience when they have a knee injury. I should really be better by now, according to how things looked. I'm not deterring anyone from going to this place. But ask more questions, as I should have, and you will probably give these guys 4 stars.

Due to a problem with another Dentist, I just gave up. I still had to do something about the teeth so after checking around, I found Southpointe Dental. My teeth had to be surgically removed. I had Dr. Aul, he did a really good job without causing undue pain and bone breakage. The staff that helped me were just great.

Dr. Don Thrush was always able to source the issue and get me moving as soon as possible, often the same day or week. When my wife and I started our family he took care of my newborns and as my 3 boys grow he helps them recover from many injuries. My wife was in car accident and his clinic handled the details and paperwork for her while treating her back to health. Dr. Don doesnt forget the details and we trust his professional judgements and care 100%. When we are in the clinic we know our care is their only priority. Debbie is amazing too.

Her outlook from a shamanic, spiritual advisor and giver of reiki was a foreign medium for me. Melissa spent 3 months working with me and learning everything that was published on this area. Relentless researcher or rather a spirited sleuth. I unfortunately was in state of discombobulation and became too much. Unknown to me, Melissa equipped me with tools that I use daily as if they have been on my belt forever. I spent a few months asking myself everyday if today is the day. That has long since passed and I am becoming the best possible person I can be. It once was frustrating not being at the level I once was. Now I have learned and this process is ongoing and find it humorous. Life is good. I am back in a new saddle getting ready to go on tour. I am making great connections and overall I am at peace. I had a pretty significant ski accident in January 2011. A co-worker had recommended I go to a…read morephysio place in town, and I did. However, after a couple visits, I was told I was good to go. Clearly I wasn't, because my knee was nowhere near stable, and I was not really getting better. By the way, this review is absolutely about my experience, and NOT because I know Mel, who runs Collegiate. I am a self-labeled consumer advocate who just wants to help people make the right choices. Anyway, I went there in the early summer of 2011, clearly frustrated about the knee. The tests that were performed were over and above what was done at the previous physio place. And the prescribed exercises helped a lot, when combined with urban hikes (ask me what an urban hike is, if you're curious) and regular hiking. I re-injured it again this year, and again, after a few months of it not really getting better fast enough, I returned to see what the problem was this time. It wasn't exactly the same injury this time. And sure enough, the stretches prescribed have made a difference right away, provided I keep them up in the prescribed intervals. They have moved to a new location which I think will be HUGE for them, and for accessibility to all.
