There were two girls working, and there was clearly a language barrier, which I was patient with. I asked simple questions about styles and photos, and the client in the chair -- not even an employee -- jumped in answering for them, incorrectly telling me they had no photos or social media. Then the stylist corrected her and said there was a book in the back. That entire interaction was strange enough, but what happened next was worse. While looking through the book, I accidentally misplaced a very important card -- a residency/credit card that takes months to replace. I realized it shortly after and called the salon in a panic. Instead of a staff member helping me, the same client who was getting her hair done picked up the phone and spoke to me rudely, saying, "Babe, you've bothered me twice," as if she worked there. I've never seen a salon allow a random client to represent the business on the phone, let alone speak to someone so disrespectfully during an emergency. Even worse, she told me my card wasn't there within two seconds -- meaning they didn't even look. They just wanted me to come back and check myself, instead of taking literally one minute to glance around. As someone who works in business, this level of customer service is shocking. Empathy and basic professionalism cost nothing. I came back about 30 minutes later (purposely after the rude client left) and the salon was already closed around 4:40 PM, even though they were clearly open earlier. I later called and spoke with the manager/owner, who dismissed me by saying I "wasn't even a client who got their hair done," which honestly made the whole situation worse. Imagine losing something so important and being told -- essentially -- "we don't care." A simple, compassionate minute of effort could have resolved everything. Instead, I was met with rudeness, zero accountability, and a complete lack of boundaries or professionalism. If I could give negative stars, I truly would. This experience showed me everything I need to know about how this business operates. Save your time and go somewhere that actually values people.

I've gotten both here and both the owner, Irene, and the manicurist, Viviana, are lovely. My first dipping manicure--what a production! But Viviana "held my hand" (pun intended :)) throughout and I'm hoping it will last 3 weeks, although I made an appointment for 2 weeks just in case. Viviana thoroughly sanitizes the equipment between people and is very careful and thoughtful about her work. Her English is quite good (Irene's is, of course, very good) and I'm thrilled not to have to go too far from my apartment for an excellent manicure and/or pedicure. That said, Irene only opens if she has appointments, so you might need to be persistent with your first appointment, but after that make regular appointments and there is no problem.

Yep... no advising, explaining, nor listening to the customer... just following the instructions on the box. The parts of my hair were breaking and falling on the floor after she completed the procedure and tried to brush me. She gave me a horrific uneven cut trying to fix the damage, and wasn't shy to charge me for it too. Oh, yeah this place is just as expensive as other much nicer Miami salons (but I was new to the area and didn't know any better). Just remembering this experience makes me want to cry again. The place where you get your hair washed is quiet, lo light, relaxing and everybody speaks low. They deeply massage your scalp while washing your hair and when they apply the conditioner a hot towel wraps your head.
