An update to my previous 5 star review. First of all, I absolutely love and adore Mario and my hope is only for him AND the salon to improve from this update. There is no ill will toward him or the salon. At times, he would get so busy with salon duties that he wasn't able to give my hair the full time and attention it needed. The blonde streak in front came out YELLOW... I tried to live with it, couldn't. Informed him of it and he offered to fix it right away - which he did. In order to take the yellow out, it became over processed. Even with being super careful it just couldn't hold up, it broke off and became bangs. I don't do bangs! read more

I wanted to wait a week to write this review to see if I would feel the same way but here it goes. First of all, they buy these reviews by offering 15% off if you take out your phone in front of them right there and post something on Yelp or Google. I felt awkward, Diego tells me to take out "notes" on iphone and compose what he tells me to write. I oblige, but I am beyond pissed at this point and I'll explain why in a second. So he tells me what to write... ok I wrote in my notes... so I'll go home and post later or edit the review later. But he literally takes my phone and posts it himself. (Ok whatever... I can go home a delete it and write a new one) So what has me upset in the first place is that I came in asking him EXACTLY how much is it going to cost, etc etc. He tells me a number, and at the end of the service, he asks if I'm paying cash or credit. I answered credit, charges me $125 MORE than he quoted me. In front of his staff, he says "oh because you had extra services, I only quoted you for the color." Then he made a big deal and very melodramatically offered me "discounts" on the overage. Okay.. well first of all, I didn't want a "hair cut" and he didn't ask me if I wanted to blow dry my hair but ordered his assistant to dry it because he has to "cut" my hair. Still it doesn't add up to $125 of extra costs, and the 15% off is BS. Diego is very pushy and DISHONEST. The Good: They offer you drinks while you're waiting. The staff there are good people. The Bad: The color didn't come out as I expected and as he agreed it would. They blamed it on the "lighting" in the salon. The Ugly: Diego is a lying and deceiving con artist. He's greedy and I hope he gets exposed for what he is. Never coming back and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to either. read more

I came across this salon by luck searching for a good place to dye my hair. My expectations were exceeded! I was treated promptly and the service was friendly , professional and all around excellent!!! Diego knew what he was doing, because the color he matched was perfection and the cut was the prettiest I've ever seen. Got to Miami yesterday in dire need of a haircut and Diego at Quattro gave me the ultimate hook up. They were able to accommodate my last minute walk-in, provided amazing service, and I could not be happier with the end result. So yesterday I was in need of a big change so I messaged Quattro, got a speedy response and had a 6:30pm appointment with Michael. It was truly meant to be. Everyone greeted me with open arms and Michael was seriously the best! I wanted to cut my medium-long hair short up to my shoulders. I showed him a pic and he instantly knew what I wanted and consulted me, made sure we had a clear understanding. I totally trusted him instantly. I very rarely write Yelp reviews, but Quattro Hair Salon is OFF THE CHARTS and these 5 measly stars don't do it justice. I've lived in Miami for the last 3.5 years and have been to three other hair salons in Miami during that time - one time to each of them - constantly looking for my favorite hair salon. Well, I found it!!! Not only was I received with smiles and hellos from everyone in the salon, but they immediately offered me wine and started my haircut early. I was assigned to Veronica, who is lovely and just moved here from Texas. She took a look at a few photos I brought for inspiration and in less than 45 minutes, I was transformed! Ok, when one goes to Miami Beach, one usually thinks spas, massage, pedicure, tattoo, if you really want to push it - but hardly a new haircut. This was totally on a whim - and I am so glad I did it! Twice in a row I got a bad cut from my regular stylist back home. And everyone knows - losing a hairstylist is like losing the best friend - how to fill in the void and how to start trusting someone you don't know?? A day after I arrived in Miami my chopped haircut became such a mess, I could no longer take it. An hour of yelp research, a call to a friend - and I am all set! Diego was great! Three hours I spent in his salon were full of laughter, stories, chatty clients, and bubbly. But best of it all - I left with the best hair I had in years (and it has been 3 weeks now, so not just one night out of the salon effect). He told me so much about the structure of my hair: how to treat it, how to color it, how to style it with a minimum effort at home. He also told me to never let cut my hair with a razor - that's what was causing it to become so hard to manage. Got my haircut from Jose Luis and he did a great job. He asked what I would like and then gave it his own interpretation as I gave him some freedom of expression. Got a wash at the end and was out of there within a felt 35 minutes. The cost was $40 excluding tip. I also appreciate that this place is very international on both sides of the table. I recently moved to Miami and discovered Quattro. It is fantastic, and I know I will be a regular here. Karolina and her husband, Diego, are so welcoming and fun. They put their clients needs first and constantly check in to make sure you're having a good experience. They offer you wine, tea, whatever you need. I've been twice and they remembered all of our conversations the last time. My hair BADLY needed change in terms of the color. Last time I received highlights in NYC, it was so chunky and way too bright. Karolina totally understood what I was looking for and gave me the most natural highlights I've ever received. I was visiting Miami for a week and I desperately needed a blow out. The humidity and the beach had my hair so dry and messy. I was on my way to a salon I knew of but it was far and I was staying at the beach. I was a walk in and they took me right away. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They offered me a beverage and made me feel welcomed. Now, I had sew in extensions in and my hair is curly and ethnic.
