Extremely disappointed. They were recommended by our neighbor so we thought they would do quality work. Again....extremely disappointed. I would have the original installer make the repairs, but they went out of business because of their lack of quality. The scope of work was the remove a double gate and install a single gate. They were quick with the quote and the pricing was decent so we went to with them without getting a second or third quote. This is my bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They came on a Saturday to do the installation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead of following the slope of the ground, they did a step down. It's not that bad as it was just an inch. When I went to inspect the work, they had a different latch system and a different hinge system for the new gate. Why they did not use the old one is beyond my understanding. I told them that I at least needed to old latch installed as it was a Sumo system and I already had the key. Last hung I wanted is to have different locks/keys for my fencing. They did not have to tools and said they would come back at a later date. Instead additional, the new fence had a gap and the new gate had a gap with the ground. Not a little gap, but a large enough gap that our 17 pound dog could climb under. So they decided that the right fix was to hack up some of the old fence and use brackets to attach to the bottom of the fence and gate. I wonder if they would accept the same "quality" of work had this been their own house. I think that is the problem, they did not have ownership. Anyway, they installed the old lock but guess what...it does not lock. The rod that goes between the inside latch and outside latch is too short. Now this was too short from the previous install, so it is not their fault. However, again, had they checked it and verified it, they could have told me that either a new rod of new latch is required. Nope. In addition, they drilled / screwed some many holes because of the mixup that now my brand new fence and brand new gate still looks like crap. I was told that tooth paste can easily fill the holes. So sad. If I were you and you weee looking for a decent fencing company, I would use them as a comparison for pricing, but nothing more. By the way, I am going ti fix it all myself. I want you all to know that this company did not install as requested. 2 Gates put on different then before, some of the fence doesn't match, and terrible about cleaning up. Found clips that hold fence up thru out the backyard where fence was installed. Not one but many. I wasn't going to review this until today while cutting the back grass with my John Deere I heard a pop, sure enough a 8 inch piece of chain link that must of broken off and a 2 inch piece both inserted into my tire that they did not pick up, and now my tire is flat. Suggestion take 2 days instead of trying it all in one day. Also look out for there time, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told they would be at my home at 9:30 am but they did not arrive until 10:50[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and worked until 8:30 that evening 2 men. Not sure if they used Galvanized piping and fence. Seams a little light rolled up for one man to carry. read more

FRAUD! STAW AWAY!!! They have a "F" rating with the BBB. The sales rep was never able to provide a rendering or design. Then they told us afterwards they were unable to prep the door for install and we needed to hire a 3rd party to do so. After we hired the 3rd party to prep the door for "their" installation - they didn't like it and decided to cheat us and steal our deposit and told us to read some hidden language on back of agreement that was never shown to us. We will be filing a formal fraud complaint with the Florida Attorneys General office to get our full deposit back. read more

Fencing South Florida ("FSF") is a terrible company. High price. Poor quality. Slow. Terrible customer service. Installation took months (even excluding permit time). They would show up, do some work, leave, come back a few weeks later, leave, come back a few weeks later. Plus, I now have two neighbors with complaints about how my fence attaches to their fence. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My total invoice was $8,161.60. I paid $7,736.60 and held back $425.00 for resolution of outstanding issues. Now they are making threats of collection methods. They even stopped in front of my yard with 3 or 4 people in truck, which I took as a physical threat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Picture 1 - For a 6 foot section, FSF charged $850. They were supposed to put a post where it met my neighbor's fence (post is shown on proposal, and we discussed verbally). They took cheap way and just attached to my neighbor's fence. So at any time, my neighbor could force me to remove it. Picture 2 - I asked FSF to match height of my neighbor's fence, because they intended to continue their fence at same height (#1). FSF ignored my request, and installed it about 5 inches higher. So not only is my neighbor mad, but I had to fill in the 5 inch gap at bottom of fence with wood (#2). Picture 3 - I paid extra for a latch/lock upgrade. I am very unhappy with the poor quality. Their installer (an employee of FSF) actually commented during install that it is very poor quality. Now, it does not open correctly. If you press the button and push on gate, it does not open. You have to hit it very hard several times and it will eventually open. read more

Together we laid out an acceptable area and then was presented with a very competitive proposal for black chain link fence[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We decided to go ahead and the rest was done without any hiccups. They submitted for the required permits which we received in a reasonable amount of time and within three weeks they came to install about 180' of fencing and gates. job was done within one day and it looks great. The whole project was quite an ordeal. Met with the rep, signed the paper and provided 50% deposit on Jul 25, 2023. They were clear they would not add to a schedule until after my HOA provided approval letter. I provided the HOA approval letter on Aug 28, 2023. After four weeks, I noticed someone in my front yard spraying paint lines in my grass. When asked, he said he was from the utilities, and they were marking power & communications lines for work that was to be completed. How strange, since I was getting a fence in the back yard, but they were marking lines in the front yard. After many calls, texts and emails over a ninety (90) day period, they called to schedule the installation on Nov 21, 2023. On this day, nobody showed up, nobody called. I called the company and they said "due to the rainy weather, everything is backed up". Then said they had a cancellation and could fit me in the following week. Two people showed up on Nov 30, 2023 to install the fence. It is a small yard, this project is about 60 feet in total length. They proceeded to install the fence in the back yard. Along the side of my house is a sidewalk, and the fence runs from my home, across the sidewalk to a privacy wall. To install this 12 feet of fence and gate section, they held a square onto the wall of the house and shoot a line to wall. When they finished, as I walked around, it was clear to see that the fence between my house & privacy wall was off by 4 inches. It looked so bad, and when I questioned the installer, he politely said, "it is straight." I nearly laughed and said, yes, it is straight in the wrong direction. He agreed to move the post connected to my house 4 inches, so the gate is straight across the sidewalk, but the remaining fence is still at an angle. Over the next week I walked around my yard and picked up at least a dozen sharp pieces of small cut metal fence. The installers never tried to pick up or discard any of their scraps. I have two small dogs and kids, this was very inconsiderate and dangerous. A week later it was discovered the installers broke a waterline from the sprinkler system. When I called to ask them to correct this, I was told "our agreement states we are not responsible for broken waterlines", there is nothing they can do about it. So in the end, it took over 3-Months to install and with the cost of repair, it cost over 1,000 more than their competitor And they left a mess and installed a crooked fence line. Very unprofessional company and low standard of care for the price. The supervisor, Frank was aggressive and extremely rude when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the original installation. I sent an email to their company email to let them know my concerns, and I gave Frank the benefit of the doubt that it may have just been a bad day so I didn't leave a review at the time and accepted the less than ideal work. Now months later, the hardware has just fallen off on a gate that's barely used. It appears the door is too heavy for the screws that were used or the screw holes were all stripped upon installation so there's nothing we can really do at this point. I shouldn't have to install the hardware myself less than a year after, but I don't expect to hear back from them. Hopefully this review helps someone make a better decision than I did. read more

Their price was fair as well. So why dock them of the possible 5 Stars? Because COMMUNICATION WAS HORRIBLE. As I see it, the three legs of a business are quality, price, and customer service. I believe they nailed the first two but to try to reach anyone from the company is extremely difficult and frustrating. Michael eventually became very responsive but Brandon...oh man. I believe Brandon is Keyser Soze. We've heard ABOUT him, but does he really exist? I think he may have returned a call once but I am still waiting for him to return my last two calls and emails. While the folks were nice the work was not even worthy of one star. I ordered a fence and gate last May and now a year later it has been nothing but excuses and poor workmanship. 1) The fence was installed backward and had to be removed and then installed correctly. 2) After waiting 6 months the gate arrived and could not be installed because most of the measurements were wrong. 3) After a few more months the gate was reinstalled but still could not be hooked up correctly because nothing was plumb and the gate once again had to go back to the shop. 4 Jumping ahead almost nine months the gate gates delivered with a crack all the way through the gate. At this point I was not about to have them do anymore work. I hired my own welder who promptly showed up and repaired the gate correctly. He also told me it was the worst welding job he had seen in a long time. Bottom line i was overcharged and the workmanship was horrible. read more

Had the FSF crew out about 9 months ago. Toby was great to work with and he covered many things other companies didn't address or ask about. Things such as neighbors trees, existing utility lines and equipment, etc. Toby covered it all and gave me a lot of confidence in the $6000 job. I believe there many fencing estimators floating around that are independent of the installers, which is scary because you may end contracting with someone who gave you a bad quote or the need for cost increases etc because they wanted their $200 for selling a job they incorrectly quoted or set unrealistic expectations. FSF quote was competitive and very thorough. The installation was great and the installer asked me through the job for preferences on where exactly to build or space out certain things (post here vs there). The fence looks great and really makes the backyard great again! They're professional and thorough, that's saying a lot for South Florida. read more

I used them many years ago for a wooden gate. They were ok, but it was just a gate. And it was pricey but it needed to get done. I did notice from the inside 1 of the posts had a good sized split in it but I know that wood has no warranty. I did think about them for a PVC fence but the experience along with seeing a BBB rating of an F (and I read the complaints) had me doing a Forrest gump. There is always 2 sides but an 'F' typically means the company is not responding to the BBB. The BBB list the owner as Daniel Cascio (just in case there is another FSF) . If the BBB gave my company an 'F' I'd call them and ask them how I could improve that score and ask them what they think we are doing wrong . Good luck. Good contractors are hard to find. read more

Toby was our sales representative and did a great job. Our project needed to be coordinated with two other neighbors' projects and Toby was very patient and thorough. We were told up front that the project had a three month lead time due to scarce labor and slow permitting. They completed the work according to this schedule. We ordered our fence in October of 2021. The sales rep was totally incompetent. We were specific on what we wanted and we were told it didn't exist. Finally we were able to speak with the owner and GM and at least get the fence ordered. It was supposed to included a double gate in the back. In February of 2022 we had a partial fence installed and was told due to availability the rest of the fence was going to be delayed. This week on June 8th they finally installed the remaining portion of the fence. Thankfully my wife was there and noticed a complete hack job being done and only a single gate being installed instead of the double gate we had ordered. When my wife questioned it they told her she never ordered a double gate. I personally spoke with the owner or GM in October and he told me there would be a up charge of 350 for the double gate which we agreed on. After finishing the install they told us they didn't have the permit for a double gate. We were billed 483.00 for the permit and was told the permit was for a single gate only. We have requested a updated permit and this company has refused our request. My wife was lied to by the salesperson and then the installer who we question is even a legal citizen. All we want is the permit for the double gate which they refuse to produce and for these people to get out of our lives. And now they are threatening us with law suits and liens if we don't pay the COD on a job they have failed to get the correct permits for. We were charged 483.00 for a incorrect permit. ALL WE WANT IS A CORRECT PERMIT AND THEY WILL BE PAID THEIR COD. Look at the all the 1 star reviews on this post and you tell me who the problem is. We love our new white PVC privacy fence. Looks great. We did have a minor issue with the gate latch and hinges. But they came out and fixed the issue under warranty. The absolute worst! First they told me that it would take "on average" four weeks to get the materials to install my fence... Eight weeks later, I had to remind them about my order at which point they scheduled installation for the following week. The day of installation they cut my Internet cord underground and when we called the office, they simply told us that the contract we signed left them with no liability and that it was our problem to fix. My husband and I both work from home and had to take several days off. Company wouldn't even call me back and took zero responsibility. Additionally, they didn't ask if we wanted the back gate to open in or out. VERY unprofessional. We are extremely disappointed. I would not recommend to even our worst enemy. The guys were awesome from the beginning and straight up with how long it would take to get materials and permit. We paid half up front in Dec and they were here in April and installed in 5 hours. They took down the old one and took it with them. We replaced an old wooded fence and they did an excellent job with three guys on the job site. We are very pleased and they did everything with a permit and checked wires with electric and cable before digging anything. You really can't go wrong. About 1.5 years after install I came home to see my entire gate was just a pile of vinyl slats on the ground. This company installed a fence for me and left a terrible worksite. The a/c line was cracked from them moving it. They did no inspection to know that until I discovered myself. They did come to fix but only because I stopped the check. They also installed scuffed fencing which then had to repair. Again only because I brought to their attention. The front of my newly installed fence does not go up to the front of my neighbors as the old one did. Don't expect them to dig up old posts, they cut them down and put new post in front which makes it a couple of inches inside of the old one. The latch to the gate is upside down and they damaged the transformer to my landscape lighting. I've emailed to tell them I was unhappy but nothing has been done. Was lied to about installation date. Was dismissed several times over the phone. Was told I'd get a call back and never did. Then when fence did come, item was broken even though I had moved it. And no money taken off bill for that and no call back. It took notifications to the BBB to finally get company to call with an install date. I will never recommend this company to anyone seeking a fence. This entire process has caused me many weeks of tears. I don't think that should happen .Literally disgusted. I should give them 1 or 0 stars based on my experience. I telephoned to get a quote. These people were recommended per a Facebook mommy page. I went to their website and fathered their phone number to call them a schedule a quote for our neighbor and us. Initially I went to the website and I spoke withy the bot about scheduling an apt. The bot was so slow at responding I got distracted and forgot I was waiting for a response. So, I called. I got someone on the phone that's as less than polite upon answering and she was cleArly having phone problems. She hung up on me 4 times because her phone would blank out while we were trying to schedule. During the first call I was put on hold for just shy of 5 minutes. I finally gave it one last chance and called again after being hung up on 5 times. This time I got the answering service. They were less hijab par also. The woman at the answering service tried to justify the person in the offices poor connection on storms. After I challenged her on that she said she us a desk in a completely different part of the country so she is not aware of the problem locally. I can only imagine what the service must be like dealing with these people. I assure you we will use a different fencing company. read more

Fencing South Florida was recommended highly by a friend. The process began around September 2023. Ron was initially very communicative but after having some difficulty with getting approval from the association it was evident he was becoming frustrated, and would not return calls or texts. The fence was finally approved by the HOA. I informed Ron and emailed the information. On 11/06/2023, I inquired with Ron regarding the permit and timeframe, and from that day on, never received a phone call or text from him regarding progress. The fence was to be installed on 12/22/2023. I was informed the day prior that all of the crew had called out sick and it was rescheduled for 01/05/2024 and there was no one available to install the fence on 12/22/2023. When the fence was being put up, I noticed the fence was being put up in the wrong area which would have violated the HOA rules and approval. I went and told the crew. I could tell they were frustrated as they were provided with the wrong paperwork where the back fence was supposed to be. The permit to the county was also submitted wrong by the company. After the fence was put up I noticed it was not straight. I called on 01/05/2024 to inform Chris it was not straight and was told he was at lunch. I called again on 01/09/2024, to attempt to discuss the dissatisfaction of the fence as it is not straight. I was once again placed on hold and informed Chris was at lunch. I am hoping to get this resolved. The response from the company is not satisfactory. They have been paid in full and were sure to be prompt in cashing the check for the payment. read more

Definitely do not recommend this company. The only reason we didn't cancel was because the cost to cancel was about equal to our deposit . Yelp wouldn't allow me to edit the previous review that goes into detail regarding our extremely poor experience with this company to update that $183 of our $800 deposit was finally refunded after continued requests. And to recap, Fencing South Florida kept $617 from our $800 deposit and did NO work for us. None. They came to our home and quoted us for a fence. We gave them all the information they requested. We were told by the company we had all the information they needed, and have the emails to confirm this is true. Due to the fact that we were told we had given them all of the information they needed and were ready to go we paid the deposit for half of the cost of the fence. They deposited the check within two days of receipt. We heard nothing from them for nearly two weeks and emailed them to ask if our permit had been processed and if they would be starting the fence soon. They emailed us and said they wanted our HOA approval on HOA letterhead. We had already been told our paperwork was complete and everything we had given them was all they would need. We contacted our HOA and they told us they don't have formal letterhead as we live in a very small neighborhood with a very small HOA. Fencing South Florida became combative and said they would not build a fence without HOA letterhead. Since they would not build us a fence without HOA letterhead our HOA could not provide, we asked them for our deposit back as well as our home survey they claimed they needed to copy and would return. They said they had already ordered materials and gotten a permit so they would not refund $617 of the deposit. This company is as shady as they come. read more

This job was for a complete removal and new PVC fence of about 225 feet. FSF gave me the best quote out of four fencing contractors and saved me about $2,000. It took about 5 weeks for scheduling and permits and the called me a few days prior to install with a scheduled install time and date. They came out right on time and removed my old fence and put in a new PVC fence the same day. The crew worked non stop and the installation was perfect. They explained everything to me and were communicating with me throughout the job. They really spent time to make sure they stayed as close to the property line as they possibly could. I was a little apprehensive at first because many times you get what you pay for but in this case Everything was straight and level when they were finished and I am very satified! The materials appear to be very good quality. The installation crew was very pleasant and responsive to all my requests and needs. read more
