I know when they say cheese foam, you think of- wait... what? Especially if you've never heard of drinks like this, but trust me. You will be so surprised when you try it! It's not like cheddar cheese or something like that, it's more of a really frothy, heavy, nice whipped cream cheese. It really matched well with the Oolong Peach Tea (of course I got bubbles :3) Definitely a place I will be going to when I'm around. It's not expensive and the cups are pretty cool, the little heart on top is adorable! I could imagine studying here or just getting a quick drink. Feng Cha is definitely a place for those who want something more authentic. The menu is relatively small, and you won't find super crazy drinks like milkshakes or fruit-loaded slushes here. I personally enjoyed my drink, which was I believe a peach flavored tea. The bag was still in the cup and it tasted like real peach-infused tea instead of the syrups I am used to from other boba places. So I really appreciate that! I definitely want to try the sea salt foam next time. Some of the special drinks are a bit pricey but the regular teas are affordable. read more

I'm so in love with this place and I wish it wasn't so far! I'm a tea kind of gal so I was very excited to try this place out. Right when you walk in, the place looks very cute and clean. The menu is to your left when you walk in. I tried their rose oolong tea and I was in love. My very first time I came here, they ran out of boba and I was kind of sad but we did come an hour before they closed. The second time, they had it and I was so excited. Although their boba was the right consistency, just the right amount of softness and chewy-ness, I would ask them to put half of what they put in next time just to enjoy the tea part more. Their cups are everything and such good quality and the prices are so good compared to other boba places, and you get so much! There is a student discount here, so for all of the struggling college students, they gotchu. I tried the Green Apple Jasmine Tea and I thought it was going to be sour, but it was not that sour! It was more sweet and refreshing with a very tiny hint of sour. Not only that, but the staff is super nice! They immediately greeted us at the door and it felt super comfortable to talk to them. They make it seem like they love their job and it's such a nice environment to be in! Not only that, but I was also wearing a University of Texas shirt, and although I'm not starting untill the fall, I noticed that after purchasing, that they gave me a student discount! This tea house is so cozy and fun. Loved my tea so much the first time I went back again the next day this weekend! I asked the person taking orders if I could get peach tea as a milk tea and he said they could accommodate anything on the menu. It was delicious and fresh. I love the cup it comes in, it allows you to drink out of the straw or if you want to remove the little cap it comes with you can drink straight out of the cup. I wish I had more time to be able to spend some time there working and doing school work. I will definitely be spending more time there this summer! read more

This has easily become one of my go to place for many reasons. Not only is it close to me but its you can get 2 drinks for about $8. This isn't your typical boba place for sure and I'm glad its not. They sever actual tea here. My favorite is the Rose oolong with a little more sweet and a matcha cap ($1.25) when I'm feeling extra fancy. They do offer a student discount which is a huge plus. I've also had the Feng Cha black milk tea and it's one of the best around town. The ginger milk tea I was kind of skeptical about but the owner convinced me to try and and I'm so glad I did! It was weird because it was warm but it was perfect for a cold day or when you got the sniffles because ginger has a lot of great benefits. Speaking of having the sniffles I ordered that one day and the owner heard me coughing and she recommended me the brown sugar drink with gogi berries. I wasn't too sure but I'm very glad I tried it because the next day I was no longer coughing. The coworkers are always nice and helpful and thought it does take some time for them to make the drinks it always turns out great. The tapioca it's self is on point even when its 5 min before closing. It adds a perfect amount of sweetness to the teas but sometimes I find the tea too bitter so I ask for a little more sweetness and it's perfect! Went here twice in a week just because it was so good. 5 stars for the drinks and 5 stars for the customer service. What sets this boba shop from others is that it has 3 different types of milk foam: your typical sea salt, cheese, and matcha. When I saw cheese milk foam, I kind of chuckled to myself just because it sounded so unappetizing. The worker then told me that was actually his favorite type of milk foam, pairing it with the osmanthus oolong tea. Not knowing what to get, I decided to give that drink a try. It was delicious! The tea was light and flavorful. The cheese milk foam toasted almost like a fluffy cheese cake to me. I'm not a huge fan of the "don't mix the drink at a certain angle to taste both flavors" just because all the teas I've had with milk foam weren't that great, but the osmanthus oolong tea makes me want to drink it at the 45 degree angle -- it's just that good. Also, the cup design is pretty unique. Instead of your typical seal for boba cups, it comes with a plastic cap that has 3 parts to it. One part is for your straw and the other two are for sipping. They place a heart shaped stopper on where you sip, and then if you want to take a sip you can move the stopper to the designed location on the cup to place it so that you don't have to hold it or put it on the table. The stopper is pretty cute so I intend to keep a collection of it, heheh. The customer service here was outstanding. The first time I went, my boyfriend went too ham on the cup and when he was placing the stopper on the cup he broke the lid....I honestly don't know how. Instead of the worker offering to replace it, they offered to remake the drink so that he could fully experience the drink. It kind of seemed unnecessary to remake the whole drink when they could just replace the cap, but that made the customer service seem unique. The second time I came here with my sister it was freezing outside. When we got inside the worker said it's cold out there huh and we had a little small talk about it. Ordered our drinks and sat down, and then the worker brought our drinks to us and offered to turn on the heater because we were cold. Wow!!! I'm truly impressed by how nice these workers are. Decided to try the new milk tea place that opened up across the street. I got mine with the sea salt milk foam and rose black tea warm with tapioca pearls and it was fantastic!!! I'd never had warm milk tea before but on a cold rainy day it absolutely warmed my soul. My boyfriend got their summer melon green tea, and while it was wonderful as well, it was definitely more of a summer drink. He ended up going back up and getting the same thing as me. The place itself it decorated quite nicely with comfortably seating, and there are containers by the register where you can smell the tea you'd like to have. One of the cutest boba shops in the Richardson area! There's so many boba shops around Dallas and I think Feng Cha stands out with their different options and concepts. I came in on 12/19 and didn't know that it was still their soft opening. I haven't heard of this place or any types of promotion of it. I found it after stumbling around the complex and I'm so glad I did. The owners were really nice and welcoming and valued our feedback of their products. I love the many types of tea options and they even have dessert! I got the jasmine green tea with matcha milk foam and oh. my. god. I have never had a milk foam taste so good. It was rich and creamy and had a strong matcha flavor which is what I prefer. It was almost like your own mini dessert in a cup. The tea was light and refreshing. A really clean tasting tea. My friend got the rose oolong with matcha foam too and she fell in love. Normally I don't like floral flavors but their rose oolong was a nice balance between floral and herbal and it didn't taste like lotion (like many other places).
