I came today for my first consultation with Dr. Fenmore and I must say I was really happy about my entire experience. My regular doctor referred me here because I need a new gynecologist. Natalie at the front desk was very friendly and sweet when I checked in and filled out forms. Stephanie got me in a room, took my vitals and was kind. Dr. Fenmore and I met in his office and went over everything about why I was there. He was so understanding and caring. Unfortunately my old doctor's office won't send my records over but I was able to discuss everything in my notes. He was honest and I really truly appreciate that. I feel very comfortable with switching over and I wish I had changed doctors sooner. read more

It was an unpleasant experience. I am quite small, and the pregnancy was difficult from day one. My body was in pain. Odd events took place regularly, and I felt alone on this ride. One day, Dr. Fenmore called me. He asked if I would sit down. He told me that my amniocentesis appeared to show chromosomal abnormalities that might indicate Downs Syndrome. Later, I was called again and told to disregard the other day's call, to disregard the alarming abnormal "results". The results weren't valid, in his opinion. Did he request another test? No. But I digress. He told me the abnormal amniocentesis results must have been caused by debris from another person's amniocentesis, in other words - Junk left in the test tube appeared as chromosomal abnormalities in my fetus. He didn't know how to interpret such abnormalities. So he invalidated them. He said he thought the tube used for the amniocentesis was sterilized but still contained debris from someone else's amniocentesis. I took his word for it. We disregarded the amnio abnormalities and continued with this doctor. This was just one of several missed red flags. I had contractions at 6 months, and I was advised to take frequent bed rest. It was painful throughout the remaining months of the pregnancy as my body strained to accommodate what was happening inside. It was an outrageously long labor, well over 24 hours. I followed the opinion of so many that it's 'better for the baby to have a vaginal delivery'. In hindsight, the vaginal delivery was full of red flags My child was trapped in a vagina too small for smooth passage. She was trapped for many hours. My daughter was born not breathing. A team of about 6 staff wearing dark blue - whisked her away to elicit breathing. This too was disregarded. The first pediatrician called my attention to my infant's poor APGAR scores, etc. She was a "sensitive," "difficult" infant. She had heightened sensitivities, rigid physicality, dysphoria, night terrors, delayed development, and many missed milestones, She was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at age 3. I believe the lack of oxygen might be responsible for her slow (lowest percentile) cognitive processing speed. Our lives are haunted by questions. It was an insanely long labor, well over 24 hours. The damage to my child and to my body are troubling to this day. No one acknowledged the damage of that vaginal birth. No one ordered the correct tests to assess the damage done to my body and organs until last year. 24+ years later, I am facing surgeries to address the profound damage my body sustained during that poorly managed birth. And it's past the three year statute of limitations on medical malpractice. If I could go back in time, I would change doctors (and much more). I should have demanded a C-section (at the very least) rather than sacrificing the quality of two lives for the "benefits" ascribed to a vaginal delivery. I regret trusting this doctor. read more

Fenmore should be deprived of his license. He left me without medical help while I was pregnant, and I had a high-risk pregnancy, and he knew it. On top of that, his office and staff are very unprofessional, disorganized and rude. Do yourself a favor and don't ever go here. Find someone else to make sure you are in good hands. read more

Dr. Fenmore's staff and nurses are awful. The attitude they have as if they are being bothered is so unprofessional and irritating to me when asking very personal and upsetting questions. Linda is the worst one in that office. Dr. Fenmore needs to start over fresh with new staff. I won't come back because of them. read more

I am 3 weeks post delivery and finally getting around to writing a review for Dr. Fenmore and his staff. I wish I could give them more stars! From my first appointment after finding out we were pregnant, to the delivery, I have felt like I was in good hands. Pregnancy can be a rollercoaster, and I felt that whatever test results or nerves I had were put at ease by Dr. Fenmore, Linda (she rocks!) and all the other ladies in the office. I have never been to a doctor with such a collective stellar staff. I ended up needing a C-section after a failed induction at 41 weeks and went into it with zero hesitation or worry because I had Dr. Fenmore. He is one of the best doctors and feel so lucky to have had him as my doctor and to bring my baby boy into this world! Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Fenmore delivered both my daughters as well as help with difficult unsuccessful pregnancies. He is kind, warm and knowledgeable. He always goes the extra mile to help explain, understand or explore treatments. Although his office gets backed up and wait times are longer than most offices I know it is because he is bringing that same attention and time with someone else's care. Lynda (his right hand) is a pro and Debbie is amazing. His staff has very little turn over. read more

As far as traditional OB care goes Dr. Fenmore is good. He's probably one of the better options if you want to have a standard procedure hospital birth. His office has up to date equipment and they are very thorough. His bedside manner is pretty nice, BUT there's a little bit of fear mongering going on with his tone. I was firm on my desire to not have an episiotomy and wanted to sign something stating so. I have taken evidence based birthing classes and the science shows that tearing naturally is much better than an episiotomy. He sort of scuffed at me, and said "what if I told you you could rip through your clitoris?!" It was a wild statement and while I'm sure maybe it's happened to someone at some point it's highly unlikely and I didn't appreciate his lack of respect for my choice with my body. He also was hesitant/pushy when I said I'd like to not have an epidural and he kind of made a remark like "you're gonna need one" and rolled his eyes, the thing is, how does he know what I will need? How does he know my pain tolerance level? Does he have a crystal ball? It's important to have these discussions with your doctor, ahead of labor because when you are in labor it's much harder to make decisions and advocate for yourself. I did like him overall, but in the end my husband and I weren't comfortable with the hospital's statistics for C-sections, very scissor happy hospital and our conversations with Dr. Fenmore didn't put us at ease that he wouldn't be just as scissor happy as the stats. His staff is fine. However, the main nurse Linda wasn't wearing a mask 2 out of the 5 or so appointments we had. It was worrisome. She'd always apologize and put one on, but like it was after the fact when she was already within 6 ft of my husband and I. The front desk girl is pretty bad at following up with phone calls, she also forgot to include my insurrance info for some tests and I had to spend an afternoon with the lab taking care of their mistake. Could chalk it up to being really busy?? Overall though, if you're okay with unnecessary, old school medical interventions and you want a birth with all of that, or you're older, or at risk, he's a solid choice. If you're young and healthy like me, And perfectly capable of a natural vaginal Birth, then think it's a pass. read more

He was there from day one to delivery day (3 c section I might add) he took his time answered all my questions and concerns especially first pregnancy. I really wanted to give a 5 star. I came to see this Dr. In hopes of regulating my period as he has advertisements going on all over his office with a set price. I liked the way he was at first when I had not gotten too deep. The office staff however was very nice and polite. I made an appointment for my third visit and on this day I was told that he can not help me. I was very disappointed that it took him that long to tell me and so I called to speak and state my frustration to an office staff. I expected to get a call from the doctor himself, instead I got a letter that he can no longer see me. Shame on you! Dr. You took a vow to take care of human beings. You have those adds in your entire office saying you can deal with hormone issues and yet instead of wanting to help, he sent me a written notice. This doctor claims to "pride himself on giving the best care." It is my opinion and experience that is not true. I'm disabled and have a rare and serious condition that was beyond his expertise to treat and/or repair. He remained my GYN and at first, showed some compassion for my condition. After some time and some research, I had serious questions about some practices of the front office that I wasn't getting straight answers for. I made my next appointment a little longer to discuss my concerns with Dr. Fenmore. Until then, my appointment was canceled and I received a letter from the doctor taking me off practice without listening to my concerns, without a referral and in the middle of a once in a century Pandemic where no doctor was taking new patients much less a special needs patient. After my not-so-satisfied birth experience with another obgyn in Tarzana, I asked my daughter's pediatrician to recommend me to a great obgyn nearby and that was when I was told to go to Dr Fenmore. He was exactly what I was looking for. He listens very well, is very respectful of his patients, encourages no intervention unless VERY necessary, great at sewing, gentle with his exams and water breaks, and is simply easy to talk to. His staff is also the best I have ever encountered! They are on top of everything and very welcoming. My son's birth experience with Dr Fenmore was smooth, worry-less and my recovery was much sooner than my last even after a 2nd degree sew. I also recommend their paragon service. Even if it costs $$, guaranteeing Dr Fenmore on the big day with 24hr text/direct call access to him made things so much easier and worry free during my pregnancy and on the big day. I texted him on a weekend night worried about my stomach flu (thinking it might b food poisoning and its risk on the baby) and he responded within seconds. This Dr. is probably one of the best gyno's I have ever seen, and believe me, I have been through more gynecologists than boyfriends. I was a little apprehensive going to a male dr, but most, actually all, of the females I had seen either seemed disinterested or unsympathetic. The logic that a female would be a more comfortable and more understanding choice has been WRONG. They almost seem to have the demeanor that says "well, I am a female, and it's not that bad for me, so suck it up and deal with it". Either way, male or female, I truly think that I can say that I don't think I could find a better Dr. than Dr. Fenmore. I am actually trying to find a dr like him for every other field of medicine that I need, but so far, no luck. He has this caring way about him, almost a gentle way, and he will sit with you for an hour if you need it, and listen to you. How often does that happen, in any field of life? If you leave him a message, it actually manages to find it's poor little way through the throes of a medical office, and somehow land on his desk, because he will actually call you or do what it was you needed. Truly one of a kind. I have only seen him a few times so far, but this is the beginning of a long friendship. There is a wait though. Honestly, I am not sure I want to see a dr. that no one else wants to see, so I guess a wait is a good thing. read more

I was referred to Dr. Fenmore by my best friend and have been going to him for years. I am now beyond child bearing years but I still go for checkups. He is a terrific doctor, has a great bedside manner, is extremely intelligent and can usually figure out what is wrong with you when other doctors cannot - even when it is not his expertise. He found my gallstones when both my primary and gastro could not. Thus had my gallbladder out and felt a lot better. I highly recommend this doctor.
