I had been seeing him as my gynecologist for several years, and I recently delivered my first baby with him; I couldn't be happier with the experience. His staff is so kind and supportive, and he has the best bedside manner I've ever experienced. He always takes the time to thoroughly address any concern, big or small, and explains everything in a way that immediately puts you at ease. He's incredibly knowledgeable and, just as importantly, consistently positive and reassuring. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I had a complication, and he personally came to see me in the hospital and made sure I was evaluated by all the necessary specialists. That level of care meant so much to me. At my 6-week postpartum visit, he even came outside to meet my baby. I had called at 6 pm on Friday with severe abdominal pain and bloating I had gone to an urgent care but wanted to let this person know. his first response was "I'm booked all through July". I explained my problem and he said I've had these cysts for years so what was my problem. he was beyond rude and dismissive I went to another gyn who referred me to a Onc gyn and I had a major surgery I was then diagnosed with neoplasm and ended up having 3 surgeries with the last 2 in San Diego I was lucky to have gone to a doctor who was smart enough to do follow ups This person could have caused me much greater problems. After a traumatic C-section and recovery with my second child--and a change in insurance--I began searching for a doctor who supports VBACs and was lucky enough to find Dr. Ben Yehuda through his incredible reviews. From our very first appointment, he was warm, compassionate, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. I've had three different OBs over the course of my three pregnancies, and Dr. Ben Yehuda is by far the most informative and supportive doctor I've ever worked with. Every appointment felt like a masterclass in understanding what was happening in my body and why. He took the time to explain everything in a clear, thoughtful way, and I learned something new at every visit--even during my third pregnancy. We had, for the most part, a very positive experience with Dr. Ohad Ben-Yehuda. He was incredibly friendly, took the time to explain everything to us throughout the process, and ultimately delivered a healthy baby for us. We really appreciated his attentiveness and the way he prepared us for labor and delivery in so many areas. That being said, there were a couple of challenges. The biggest issue was with the billing process. Their office outsources billing to an individual named Arlette, who is only available once a week. Unfortunately, we ran into multiple issues with incorrect billing codes, even for things that should have been covered under my wife's insurance. We had to spend a lot of time going back and forth between her and our insurance to get things corrected, and we're still waiting on a resolution for a billing error from a year ago. Additionally, one difficult moment was immediately following delivery when Dr. Yehuda had to take certain medical steps with my wife's uterus. While we understand it was necessary, it was extremely painful and took her out of the experience of just having given birth. Given how well he prepared us for other aspects of labor and delivery, we really wish he had given us a heads-up about what to expect in that moment. Overall, we are grateful for Dr. Yehuda's care and expertise, but the billing frustrations and that unexpected post-birth experience kept it from being an optimal experience. read more

When Is ay you won't find a better OBGYN than Dr. Ben-Yehuda...just know that I MEAN IT. He, and his staff, are wonderful. I was referred to Dr. Ben-Yehuda by my old OB-- I had found out I was pregnant and needed an OB nearby instead of shlepping to Westwood. He was a great support during my whole pregnancy and answered every and all emails at different hours of the night throughout my whole pregnancy. At every appointment he was thorough, patient and explained EVERY SINGLE step and the reason why we were doing said procedures or check ups. As a first time mom I felt comfortable and supported. Doctor treated me unprofessionally with sensitive issue. He performed procedure on me 2x's which was painful, when I needed it a third time he said to just wait an extra year. Went to another doctor and never felt a thing for the same procedure. In 5 years called 1time with concern "Too busy to call back, sorry". Dr. Ben-Yehuda is THE BEST doctor I have ever met. He is thorough and professional, extremely knowledgeable, and welcoming, and is always on time. He delivered my daughter in 2018 and two years ago, I went to him (despite my insurance at the time not being accepted) for a second opinion and follow up after a traumatic second pregnancy that ended in a required termination for a severe fetal anomaly. I also had other issues that needed management and he helped me beyond what words can describe. From my first email correspondence with Dr. Ben-Yehuda, it was apparent that he puts the needs of his clients first and foremost. I left a voicemail with his office as it was after hours. I thought, let me send an email to him directly via his website to see if he's even available to meet and take me on as a patient. I didn't expect a response at all, let alone so quickly! I was in my first trimester and had been incredibly disappointed with my first OB visit elsewhere. I was referred to him by my oldest daughter's pediatrician. After briefly explaining the high risk nature of my pregnancy and my wishes, Dr. Ben-Yehuda replied with great questions and asked me to bring materials and arrange our consultation. He asked for medical documents pertaining to my first delivery as I was considering having a VBAC. At our first meeting, my husband and I were both pleasantly surprised by his good nature, his bedside manner, his office, and staff. There was no doubt that I was in the right place now and I was immediately put at ease. Dr. Ben-Yehuda put my health first and was always available to answer my questions, no matter how random. He'd answer emails and review my blood sugar scores and blood pressure readings that I'd collect at home regularly. There was never a time when a concern I had wasn't addressed. Dr. Ben-Yehuda always explained himself, his processes and multiple solutions for things. He really took his time with me at every appointment. His office performs various tests in house which makes things so much easier! Who wants to drive around to a lab all the time? I really couldn't have asked for a more positive experience, so much so that I'd have another baby just to have him deliver! My delivery did not go without some minor hiccups but Dr. Ben-Yehuda was there every step of the way, from the emergency hospital visit weeks before I was full term (precautionary) to my water breaking on New Year's Eve! My healing postpartum is 10x easier this time around and it's all thanks to my doctor. He is so intentional and methodical in his approach to ensure that I was in the best position to heal. When I became pregnant with twins, I asked my gynecologist to refer an obstetrician who would have a similar approach; compassionate, thorough and a partner through the process. He took one second to come up with Dr. Ben-Yehuda's name and he couldn't have been more accurate. Dr. Ben-Yehuda made every appointment a pleasure. He welcomed my husband to be a part of the experience. We never felt rushed as he answered every question and gave detailed explanations for each test and step of the process. His charming bedside manner and calm presence instilled confidence immediately. He never treated my twin pregnancy as a liability, or cause for undue concern. But rather like any other, except with more frequent monitoring towards the end to ensure both babies were thriving. During our 17-week scan, Dr. Ben noticed something unusual with our baby boy. He was very calm as he took his time to confirm what he saw. This moment could have been traumatic if it was mishandled, but Dr. Ben was the picture of professionalism and compassion. He delivered the news that our son had what appeared to be a cleft lip. He immediately called his associate, the High-Risk OB, to squeeze us in for a scan to confirm a bilateral cleft lip and palate. His delivery allowed us to digest the news with confidence that everything would be OK. At a later scan, he noticed that our daughter might be growth restricted, again he rushed us to the High Risk OB who confirmed the diagnosis and they agreed on a timeline that would be safe for delivery. We managed to get to 37 weeks and 4 days! With Dr. Ben, we were always in safe hands. We had some scares, but due to his approach we were calm throughout the process. We had hoped for a vaginal delivery even though our daughter would most likely be breech since Dr. Ben is skilled at assisted breech deliveries. He explained my choices a week before delivery and laid out the risks and benefits of an induced vaginal birth versus a cesarean and left the decision to me. After his thorough counsel, I opted for a scheduled cesarean because I was concerned that our growth restricted daughter may struggle through contractions, or have a cord prolapse, etc. I wanted our twins to arrive in the safest possible way. On the day of delivery, I was very anxious. Dr. Ben arrived to the OR and was as calm as ever. He sat with me before he got started and reassured me that all would be well. The cesarean was flawless, I recovered to near normal within 10 days! Not what I expected and I was ever grateful since I needed to be healthy enough to divide my time between being at home with our daughter and the NICU with our son. I wasn't really looking to shop around for a doctor but as soon as i met with him my 1st visit, i knew that he would be my doctor. From the pregnancy to birth to postpartum, he has been with me every step of the way. He explained what every test was and why we needed to do it. He always asked if we had any questions. He is always available for questions through email and responds pretty quickly, usually within a few hours. I struggled shortly afterbirth and to have your doctor personally call is the kind of service you really need. I am so glad I was referred to him I cant imagine going through this journey with any other doctor. I must also give some praise to Lydia who works in the office. She was very helpful to me when it came to disability problems and emailing me back and forth to find therapists. She is very friendly and caring. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Ben-Yehuda and his staff. I immediately fell in love with him upon meeting him. I recently had to switch OBGYN's since my previous physician became concierge and I was not okay with a 2,500+ fee to see her once a year. Anyway, I did some research and spoke with friends about who I should switch to... everyone recommended Dr. Ben-Yehuda. EVERYONE. So, I made an appointment, which let me tell you was very organized, easy and extremely pleasant. Once I met with the doctor, I immediately understood why everyone raved much about him!!! He is truly a delight. He is warm, gentle, and explains every single thing, every step of the way. He addresses all questions (and welcomes them).
