I have gone to this practice for twenty years. Dr. Baron was my "go to" painless dentist. He retired recently. I went to Dr. Yoxthimer the other day for an exam. He found some things and recommended some needed work. Having been to a few bad dentists many, many years ago, I did not book the appointment immediately. Mary always does a great job when cleaning my teeth. She answers all questions. She explained why Dr. Yoxthimer recommended that the work be done. She showed me photos. The business manager gave me an estimate. I thought about the matter and the reasons made sense. I booked a follow up appointment. I have never had a problem with the office staff (billing or transferring of medical records). They always seem to have enough staff on hand. It is nice, to at least be able to call a receptionist, to schedule an emergency appointment if the doctor is not in the office that day. In the past, it did not take me long, from the time that I called the front desk, to get in for a routine appointment. This time, it did take longer. It could be that June is a busy month for them. The extra wait was worth it. P.S.: This office also sells a special prescription toothpaste (with extra fluoride) for patients with bad teeth (e.g.: elderly patients with medical problems who take a lot of medicine). I won't mention the brand name here. They do not try to sell you something extra. Just thought that I would mention it. read more

Outstanding experience! I've been a fearful patient all my life, so this is high praise. I had an initial consultation with Dr Yoxthimer and the dental hygienist, Mary, and together they developed a treatment plan- had several needs to prioritize. And no one "tsk-tsked" about the condition of my teeth-7yrs since last dental visit. At my appointment yesterday, I had "twilight anesthesia" and was able to get two crowns (on-site Cerec process, no need for a temporary) and a buildup of a broken tooth, all in one long appointment with Dr Yoxthimer and the dental assistant Jennifer. There were no surprises with the process or the cost- everything had been fully explained at my initial consultation. Friendly front-Ofc staff, very kind and professional! As always, I love Dr Baron. And he was able to fix my chipped tooth right away - no need for a second visit! That made my day. But Dr Baron is always so caring and understanding and better yet - goes first to the least invasive and expensive option. There are many things in my mouth that he has done as a "let's see how long that lasts" - and they have lasted for years! His assistant today seemed a little confused and was not instilling confidence in me...... but Dr Baron makes it okay! And a shout out to Mary, my dental hygienist, who actually makes getting my teeth cleaned, etc, feel like a visit with a friend. Love this office and it's people!! Of the dentists, I love Dr. Baron especially - he's so kind, gentle - and conservative about recommending procedures, etc that aren't really necessary or that can be held off. He actually figured out an inexpensive intervention for my daughter that delayed her having to lose a tooth ... by the time she needs it, we're hoping there will be advances in tooth implants. My equally favorite thing about the office is the dental hygienist, Kathy. She is a real expert - and friendly to boot. The thing is, this dental office treats its hygienists with respect and the good ones stick around! I think that's rare among dental offices. read more

I LOVE THESE GUYS !!!! They are so efficient, have great expertise and are extremely nice. I never dread my visits because these people go to great lengths to make sure its painless and as comfortable as possible. Dare I say it's almost fun. The docs really know what they are doing and have a wonderful chair side manner.; the hygienists are so sweet and personable; the reception and office team are all so efficient and very friendly; last but not least the equipment is quite high tech.and I like to kid Dr. Baron about his love of gadgets. I am not always happy going to the dentist, but I am never disappointed in the service and work I receive at Fennell Barron by Dr. Y. at my appt.. He is the best dentist I have ever had here I n Cincinnati and would not trade him for any thing but a big box of Agimess.'s Chocolates. Dr. Y. is pleasant, through and always thoughtful of me while I am in the chair. So I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone and everyone who needs a dentist. I have an anxiety disorder and I haven't been to a dentist in years. My mother recommended Fennell Baron & Yoxthimer, DDS. She sees Dr. Yoxthimer. So i went. The reason for not going besides my anxiety is i have very sensitive gums. I didn't expect what happened. They were so gentle with me. They gave me nitrate or what some people call laughing gas. I was so relaxed and comfortable. The staff was so kind and understanding. I will never go anywhere else. I love the reminders they send to your phone and emails. I would highly recommend them. I had a crown replaced by Dr. Yoxthimer and it was excellent. It was a CEREC so it was all done in one 2-hour visit. There was virtually no pain or discomfort and the crown fit comfortably right away. There was almost no adjustment necessary. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Y and his assistant Jennifer. Outstanding! I had a tooth break with my first bite of breakfast. I rang up the dentist and they fit me in that morning.
