I…read moreresearched him and saw that he was retired Military, so I thought he would be a man of his word. unfortunately, I was wrong. After 300 Kms and 1 time in and out of the water, the trailer started to make a loud growling sound anytime I was above 10km/h. As I live in Comox and Rob works out of Victoria (where I purchased the Boat) I took it to my local Boat service shop here in the valley to investigate the sound, so that I could advise Rob (who had just replaced all the bearings). I was advised by the service shop that the wrong wheel kit for the trailer spindle was used, and that the seals for the bearings were the wrong fit thus allowing salt water, grit and all forms of contamination into the bearings. As a result, all bearings needed replacement with proper sized seals etc. After notifying Rob of the problems, he continually blamed his supplier and the Boat service shop that I went to for the repairs, stating everything under the sun as an excuse but stopped short of taking any responsibility. When I asked for some financial reimbursement from what I had paid him in order to help cover the cost of the replacement/repair work, he stopped returning my texts and my phone calls. needless to say............potential customers beware!

Even though he was thorough in his inspection, the source of the leak evaded him on that initial service call. He was totally perplexed and unsatisfied not to have found the leak. We were advised not to use the propane in the trailer until the issue was resolved. Undeterred, Ian was adamant that he was going to find the source of the leak, so he returned twice more, concerned for our safety, wanting to uphold his reputation, and save us a costly visit to the dealership.
