I love the walking path at this park. 2 laps around is 3 miles. Its not very crowded and feels safe to be at.

I have been going to Fenton Park for years. My kids grew up playing in the fields or nearby soccer/baseball fields. Fenton is called "The City of Parks" and this is its gem. Walking trail around the park is well maintained. Twice around is almost of 5k. Always lots of people doing lots of things. At least 4 pavilions to rent and I suggest you rent early because they are always being used. Food truck Fridays once a month and a Farmers Market on Thursday evenings during the warmer months. Being close to the Meramec River, part of the park does flood now and then. But, that is what it is. They clean it up pretty fast when it does. read more

Fenton City Park is a good flat park in the city of parks (that's how Fenton refers to itself, anyway). Pro: easy walking. Con: occasional flooding. This park has food trucks events, one of which I've attended; a few sports fields, which I don't expect to visit, and a farmers' market, which I have yet to check out. read more

Hubby introduced me to this park as he used to go here as a kid. We stopped here to utilize the walking trail. It is a nice wide paved path. We went on a Sunday and there weren't many people using the trail which was also nice. The path is easy to follow and we walked about 1.5 miles or so. I liked that they have information centers around the park and the walking path is on the outside of all the activities so I can imagine during the ball season you can enjoy the game from your walk as well. They do have a very cool veterans memorial here as well. read more

This is a great park to visit if you ever need to run around outside! There are lots of parking spots available in their many parking lots! They have tons of ball fields and lots of open space! I went on a sunny day in December and just wanted to explore the park. I walked around the track and made a pit top at the playground to swing for a bit! The track goes all the way around the park and fields. There was some minor construction going on so a small portion of the track was closed off, but it wasn't too bad. What I liked most about this park is that it wasn't too crowded. I was able to walk around leisurely and didn't really run into many people. There are many places to sit and reflect if you just need to do that. Overall, I had a good time at Fenton City Park and I plan to go back again soon! I wish I had taken photos, but I'll do that next time. read more

My husband and I took our grandbabies here yesterday. We all had such a great time! We first went to the main playground in the middle, and I'm so happy we stopped here. It was 90 degrees, so we were worried about everyone getting too hot, but with all the trees around the playground, there was tons of shade! We stayed here for a few hours and even had our picnic on the tables nearby. The bathrooms are also very close so that was great too. Then we traveled to the playground in the back between shelter 1 & 2. They have swings in the back playground up and the kiddos wanted to swing a bit. I was happy to see they had a swing with a back on it because my granddaughter is only 4, so it definitely helped her swing easier. Overall, we will definitely be coming back. read more

Well Groomed, Great Family Park! I came to Fenton City Park with a leased dog, and 3 middle aged grandchildren to hike in the shade. Your Park had this to offer and so much more! 6 yr old loved the play structure. We saw you had soccer and softball fields. The walking and fitness path was a real plus! My niece (the Peanut) LOVES this park - and so do her grandparents. It is a bit like The Velveteen Rabbit - a bit worn in places, but when you visit you'll see why it's also well loved. There are soccer and ball fields, lots of bathrooms, plenty of parking, several jungle gym areas (some newer - and some older), and tons of green space and picnic areas. My parents like to take the Peanut to the smaller, quietier jungle gyms that aren't quite as busy, because it allows them to watch her run off some energy without worrying about big kid shananagins. Drive around and find your favorite spot to take the kiddo(s) or yourself...this park has a lot to offer if you take the time to discover all it's perks! read more

This is a beautiful park with a ton to offer. Fenton City Park is massive, almost 100 acres. The trail that loops the outer limits of the park is paved and smooth and nice for pushing a baby stroller through or riding a bike on since they maintain the concrete so well. It isn't long, only about a mile and a half, but the trails meet up with a bunch of different trails that go outside of the park, so you can get in a hearty ride or run...whatever your pick. There are tennis courts, but they have pretty much been destroyed by the recent floods and currently the nets consists of orange traffic cones...I am sure they will fix this soon since this park is immaculately groomed, but just a forewarning. Also, there a ton of clean bathrooms, softball and soccer fields that are usually filled with adorable little kids playing sports, and a decent playground. When the Meremac floods this place tends to take the brunt of it, which is sad, but it has the left the grass fertile and beautiful over the years. There's a ton of parking all over the park so you will never have to fight for a spot, and there's basketball courts. Something you will be hard pressed to find anywhere in the city limits. read more

This is a great park. I run here nearly every day and know the place like the back of my hand. Nice paved trail, but it does get really muddy in some sections when there is rain. Sometimes it takes several days for it to dry up. That's the only reason it's not getting 5 stars. It's fairly well lit, there are water fountains and bathrooms, and plenty of shady areas. Multiple pavillions and playground areas are a bonus as well. read more
