Beautiful and well-kept neighborhood park with nice trails ranging from easy, gravel-covered path to a moderate slight climb trail. The tree covered paths are perfect for all weather and the cliff and water view is quite lovely especially in the fall. There is a newer pavilion with a seating area, a bathroom for when nature calls while you're out in nature and a couple of art pieces to admire during your stroll. During our most recent visit a week or two ago, the bathrooms were closed for the season. There is also plenty of parking available. We take our dog here for walks. They have free bags if you've forgotten to bring any. It's a great park neighborhood park! read more

Whitecliff Park - A beautiful fall morning at Whitecliff - Parks Near Me - Crestwood, Missouri

It has been a while since I visited this park. The kid play area is great in the summer providing a perfect space for children to explore and play. The park also features walking trails. Walking along these paths it is great to immerse in the sights and sounds of nature. The creek run along the park which add a nice view.. For more excitement in the summer time there is a fee based aquatic center to enjoy all summer long . Overall, being in this park is a refreshing escape from the everyday hustle, making it a wonderful place to reconnect with nature. read more

This review is for the hiking trails in the park. I haven't been to the pool in ages! From the first parking lot right when you enter the park, you will see a sign that says "quarry" to the right. We parked in a large lot, ate food at the covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables, there is no bathroom, but there is a little library in the parking lot. From the parking lot, walk over the bridge. The trail is gravel (good for park employees to drive on) and wide enough for many people to pass. The quarry remains are just a 5 minute walk on the flat path. There is a bench in front of the caves and even a couple of picnic tables in the lawn surrounding. If you continue along the path up the hill, you will eventually run into the playground, picnic pavilion, and pool. There are many small dirt paths taking you off the main gravel road, but we still ended up at the same point. On the way back down the from pool area, you could choose to walk through the upper parking lot and back to the car on the road. We chose to walk back into the woods and take a different dirt path that had us walking above the caves instead of in front of them. Lots to explore in the area and fairly quiet for being in the city. You don't want to play in the creek since the water is mostly stagnant. read more

This is a great park with many amenities and recreational spaces. They have a basketball court, tennis courts, playground, baseball fields, and more. They have shaded walking trails that take you into nature. It has always been clean. A great place to take family and dogs on the weekend. read more

This place used to be a nice place to go for a hike and to enjoy nature however, they unfortunately added a pavilion right next to the quart in which people are able to throw huge parties and play blaring loud music which has honestly ruined the essence of the park in its entirety. If you're looking for a nice family friendly place to enjoy nature and hear bird sing I would recommend looking elsewhere. It's so sad to see yet another park in St. Louis ruined by greed. read more

Crestwood has really done a fabulous job with this little park. It's not really little actually, it's almost 100 acres. They have everything here, too, and you don't even have to be a Crestwood resident to take advantage of all they have to offer. There are amazing hiking trails that are mostly shaded, have quarry views, walk by little log cabins and somehow are not that buggy. I have no idea how that is possible with the proximity to Gravois Creek, but I'll take it. They aren't super long, but if you are craving a longer walk or run, you can walk the .2 miles up the road to Grant's Trail and really get a good long walk. There is also a really nice pool. It is cheaper for Crestwood residents, but you don't have to be one to get in. They have a lazy river and fun play pools for little kids. They even have swim lanes for those looking to get a workout in. This is something that has been long forgotten by many of the new municipal pool complexes. Best thing, this pool is clean and they don't let you bring food in to the pool area. I love this. As a former lifeguard I know exactly how buggy these pools can get when someone leaves their soft pretzel out to be lunch for the hoards of ants crawling all over the park. Also, the rec complex is pretty decent as well. You can rent out the gym for party space, you can work out in their small work out room, and you can become a member of this place even if you are not a Crestwood resident. The people that work here are all incredibly nice and the park is very well groomed. There are playgrounds and ball fields and just tons and tons of things to do. Crestwood did very well with the revitalization of this little park. read more

June, 2020: The basketball court at Whitecliff Park is a great court and a bunch of people play basketball there. But why do the lights at the tennis courts stay on untill around 10pm but the basketball lights turn off at around 8pm? there were about 20 people on the basketball court and the lights turned off but there was no one on the tennis courts but the lights stayed on? if the lights for the basketball court can stay on untill 10pm or 10:30pm that would make all of us hoopers a lot happier, thank you! read more

Nice little walking trail around the quarry!

The park used to be very well managed and you could tell by the visual appearance of the pool. It is a pity how much this park has been affected by the predicament Crestwood is in. Since Crestwood lost the mall, it seems that Crestwood has been cutting corners on many things and this is just now including this park's pool. The Whitecliff pool was once one of the best maintained pools in Saint Louis and now it seems to be in ruin. The bathrooms are disgusting and it doesn't seem like the staff want to be there or appreciate their position at all. I know the city decided to change lifeguard management companies to save a bit of money but it really shows how cheap this new company is with how poorly maintained the pool seems to be. I never thought that Crestwood would let their magnificent pool go under with the rest of the city, but it seems like it has finally happened. read more
