But turmoil has come over the past year and it's not good. Corporate Franchise Ace called Abbott's bought the shop and made it part of a east coast chain, and it's affected the experience negatively. Staff turnover has been very high, customer service is lackluster. One guy today couldn't bother to say "excuse me" while I was looking over some items and he just had to get to one of the items in front of me. Manners is seriously lacking with some of their staff. There's no clear leadership in the store - other than corporate from New York state dictating sales. Whomever is running the place needs to hire better people - more training so their more knowledgable about their products, and maybe people that are a bit more people oriented. One cashier lady is so morose I've come to hate going to her. A couple of the old crew is still around but with the turnover rate, and the lack of corporate care for service, I don't think they'll be around much longer. I've always placed Suburban Ace (now Costello Ace) as my First Choice for hardware needs, but with lackluster staff, poor product knowledge and a lack of customer service, that preference is fading fast. Home Depot is a little bit further from my workshop but the people there are, overall, better now than those at Costello Ace. Damn shame and I hope they get their act together.

I have purchased mulch,…read moreplants, fencing, and a shelf at this place and I find it very consistent (I also purchased a lot of items when I got my house about a year ago). During COVId-19 times they enforce the use of masks and it feels clean and organized specially the gardening section which it outside. The curbside pick up service has been excellent; it is organized and timely. There are parking spots for customers getting pick up orders. My only issue is that they don't do curbside pick up for all items (this may be a company-wide thing rather than a specific location thing). What needs improvement: being able to find someone to help you find something can be really difficult, staff doesn't always seem approachable when I need help. This is an overall image but as always you have the good, approachable helpful staff and then the ones that aren't so helpful; service is just not consistent. Also the supplies here have been running low; I had been wanting tomato cages for a while and went 3 times and they were always out of the tomato cages; same thing happened with sod (went to the competition to get these). I'm summary I have had overall pleasant experiences here, but customer service can improve a bit and they need to maintain their items in the warehouse.

After only two projects, the drill completely stopped working. I went to the Timonium store for help with the warranty process, but neither the clerk nor Store Manager John seemed interested in assisting. I've spent thousands on Milwaukee tools over the years, and this experience was extremely disappointing. Premium tools should last longer than a year and two projects, and customers deserve better support when a product fails. John the store manager couldn't take the time to give me any solutions. Home Depot responded with below but provided no additional assistance.

Lowe's had lots to choose from that were over the hood just like I needed. The unfortunate thing was that they only had one in black, it was unbranded and only came with Spanish instructions. No one in the area but then all of a sudden 3 employees pop up and the one older employee (I believe is the manager for that dept. because I have seen him before lurking around trying to dodge customers). He says in a very loud voice is there something I can help you with Sir.. I was taken back by his loud tone. When I said yes.. he came over in an almost bothersome manner and said this is where we have the filters then proceeded to go on about his business. No questions asked as to what size I'm looking for or brand. I found it very very strange. Not helpful at all. Terrible service. I'm still confused as to what filter to get as I never really got any help.
