We met Steve Benson of Modesto Kitchen and Bath with a lot of anguish and frustration in our hearts. We started the whole house remodel by putting in French doors from the master bedroom out to the back yard. Steve was a good listener and always encouraged us to call, text, email or drop by his showroom at anytime. He and his staff were honest and open with us and kept us moving forward. Their capacity to understand our dreams was their greatest strength. Steve was the first one to be so positive and show us we could take out walls and totally remodel the smaller family, kitchen and dining rooms into a great room with a huge island. It has turned out to be such a fun space for family and friends. The bathrooms are amazing! We really had a clean slate to work with because Steve gave us the idea of totally removing the old bathroom so we could dream up the best possible plan. There were some challenging times as we talked about what we might do, but he was always willing to take the time we needed and guide us through the decisions necessary to make up our own minds. The entire master bath totally rocks! It has a handicap, no barrier shower that is so beautiful and stunning. Every towel bar is also a grab bar because Steve and his staff researched the possibilities and found perfectly matching towel bars to coordinate with our other fixtures. They are beautiful and anchored into the studs for safety and strength. Kevin, the tile expert did an amazing job and was such a detail oriented craftsman. I also had a friend recently piece together her own kitchen remodel and it was months long with lots of delays and such a headache. Daniel was straightforward and so helpful during the initial planning. Casey nailed down the design and made up for my lack of creativity. Aaron was always there to answer my questions and reached out every day to let me know where we were at in the timeline (most days they were ahead of schedule... how often do you hear that about a remodel?) My kitchen is an octigon shape which would normally mean many cuts and seams but these guys were so good that there was only one seam!! In addition to the quality of work, the communications with Israel and Anna were very positive and timely. I absolutely DO NOT recommended this place at all. We found this place through our plumber and we…read morehired them to Instal our shower panels. They failed to mention that they are SUBCONTRACTERS meaning they only do certain jobs and then it's up to us to figure out the rest. The only thing the gal had mentioned to us was that they do not install the shower glass and that's it. Nothing else So we went ahead and hired them for the shower panels. And when they come they say you haven't installed a shower Pan yet.. and I'm like??? We were never told we needed too. Why weren't we told this before? My thing is, this is all new to us. We don't do all of this often nor do we know anything about showers and the repairing process. So when this guy said shower pan, don't you think they should have mentioned this all to us when we first signed up with them? Um, ya I think so. So then of course they don't even install the shower pan... they sell it, for an insane price, but they don't install it. So that got delayed even more since we had to find someone to come and install the shower pan. Finally everything is rolling. We spend an INSANE amount of money on this shower, I mean the amount of money we spent. We should of had a grand slam shower. And I blame custom marble and onyx, because as I mentioned earlier, they failed to tell me that they are sub contractors and they don't do shit and it's up to you to scurry around and find people to do different jobs. Okay so everything is in place. Now last thing we need is the shower head and handle installed and put back into place. But GUESS WHAT. We had to find someone for that too because this shit place doesn't even do that. So we had the plumber come out and he noticed these 2 small holes on the shower pans and he mentioned to get them checked out and make sure water won't be leaking. So I call the company and I speak to the "boss" named Darrel who sounded absolutely rude and Condescending. I mean if you are the boss I assume you would hear out your client and try to fix the issue rather argue and get all defensive and tell me that we should have picked a better shower pan or that all your men are experienced. Full of shit and work on your customer service because you are no boss. You are a rude person. Worst experience ever!!! Hate this place. Do not hire them. Unless you want lies. Bad customer service and a huge headache.

Disappointed with the installation of the cabinets. I ordered counter tops and the color received…read morewas not the same. I understand variations in natural stone but this was a different color. Subcontractors for the installation were used and the installer did a tacky job. The so-called subcontractor damaged cabinets and scratched cabinets and inappropriately attached cabinets. (They were replaced but he knew the damage was there and assumed I was gonna be ok with it. Then he tried to say it was someone else. I had pictures dated and time stamped. Cabinets to Go did not replace all damaged cabinets/drawers). The contractors left holes where the handles were installed because I'm assuming the holes he drilled were too wide. The cabinets were not flush against the walls. I will have to pay someone to put filler on them to make it look finished. T My biggest concern with Cabinets to Go was the unfairness of refusing to accept their error for the countertop. The delivery guys told me they have had complaints from other customers who paid for the same pattern I selected because the color is so misrepresented. I sent photos to 2 other departments and both departments agreed that the color was off, but when it went to final approval, my request for a partial credit or new countertops was denied. So I was forced to pay for a countertop that Cabinets to Go selected. I have remodeled 2 rental properties since my home install and I did not use Cabinets to go. I will not recommend them or use them again. I would recommend using your own contractor or installer if you do use Cabinets to go. Cabinets to Go misrepresented other aspects as well. This was for the ready-to-go cabinets. I would hope that their custom cabinets are better.
