He walked in, acknowledged me with a handshake, took the time to listen to my concerns & was not rushing to leave the treatment room as most doctors usually are! I love his respectfulness, communication, attentiveness, and personality. The clinic was also very clean. Also, the secretary & person adding my information into their system before I saw the doctor were also very nice. I am glad I found such a great doctor & would highly recommend him to everyone.

this review is for Dr. Maria Pancho whom also works at this office …read more... I really didn't want to report Dr PACHON ROMERO,MARIA from cliffside park gynecologist office. I went to her 5/21/2024. She reviewed my history and had some concerns for my very early pregnancy (4weeks) . She gave me her concerns because of my past miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy but spoke more about me losing my baby rather than trying to see the positive. This was after she confirmed the baby was in my uterus. I didn't appreciate her negativity (which it felt like) but I understood what she warned me about. Her assistant called me to come in ASAP to check if my HCG levels were increasing. I told her assistant I was not entirely comfortable going because of the more negative than positive the doctor was focused on. Dr. Maria Pachon then called me to let me know it's safer to come in sooner than later because as of right now everything seems ok but eventually I may lose my baby because of my history, but as of now everything is ok. She refused to hear me out when I said she's being negative and said she wasn't she's basically being realistic. I reminded her "I UNDERSTAND AND UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING YOU TOLD ME ! Stop giving me good information then telling me but maybe eventually the baby won't make it" After every sentence she ended it with a reminder that I most likely won't be able to carry my baby. She is extremely insensitive and I found that to be highly unprofessional, ESPECIALLY AS A WOMAN DOCTOR. Shame on her.

At the…read morefirst visit, I appreciated how direct, calm, and responsive he was to all of my many questions; I also chose him because I wanted to see a solo practitioner who would be present at my delivery. I echo all of the many wonderful things written about Dr. Yu and his office staff in other google/yelp reviews. A few other things I found exceptional and am particularly grateful for include: - He is extremely focused on the health of mom (in addition to the health of baby). Throughout instances for me both during pregnancy and postpartum, he offered very direct advice and recommendations of procedures he thought I should do, including calling me to make sure I went to the ER when there was something I didn't know was serious. At other times, he was very clear in explaining the pros and cons of decisions so that I could exercise my discretion, and respectful of my choices. - During labor and delivery, he was present from relatively early on and checked in multiple times, including ensuring that I knew when the hospital shift change was occurring so I could make a more informed decision on when to get my epidural. When I was researching doulas, I spoke with some who had been at deliveries by Dr. Yu and who said that he was more present than most OBs and was willing to listen to women's preferences during delivery. I found this to be true, and also found that Dr. Yu advocated for decisions that he thought would lead to a shorter delivery with less pain when I was on the fence about taking certain actions. I also found his instructions on how to push very clear (it's hard if you have an epidural and cannot feel anything)! - Healing from the different surgical procedures he has performed (during pregnancy, tears after delivery, circumcision for baby) has always been extremely smooth. - He does his own ultrasounds and does them at every visit, so you don't need to go into the hospital to get an ultrasound. I found it very reassuring to check baby's heartrate at every visit. - His office is very clear and flexible about billing, including a) accepting checks from insurance (who sent them only to me and not to the office directly) and b) explaining how he was an out of network provider but would not balance bill patients (and how that intersects with the No Surprises Act). - He is so responsive -- in particular via his messaging system; very rarely did I wait longer than 4 hours for a response (including on weekends, and messages sent at 9 pm). Lab results were provided almost immediately via the messaging system. He also gives you plenty of notice if he is going on vacation (which only happened once in my almost 2 years of seeing him). - He has wonderful contacts for referrals, such as for specialty procedures required to be performed by maternal fetal medicine specialists, breast surgeons, surgeons for fibroids, and more. He is always professional and even has a sense of humor. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends (and already have).

The entire space is super clean and the warm seated bidet toilets that magically greet you every time you enter a bathroom are a fan (me) favorite. I proceed to book my appointment for the same day few hours prior. MY appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm and I arrived at 2:17pm. I understand that I was running late and also that I had to sorted out a minor insurance discrepancy which took another extra 10/15 min the most. Once they confirmed all the information, I waited another addition 45 min at the office and never was seeing by the doctor. Patients are overbooked ( while I was in the office five patients arrived almost at the same time) open slots back to back in the portal and in others platforms but there is only one provider. Plus she squeeze another patients who doesn't required a full consultation (like a birth control prescription or medical results) between the ones who has appointments scheduled. Totally Unacceptable, she is looking for numbers ($). I wasted one hour and half for nothing! Don't go there if you don't have plenty of time to wait or if you want to use your lunch break for a quick doctor visit.

At first, I was thrilled--Dr. Yuliya was incredibly sweet, and her staff was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience quickly deteriorated, and I came to realize this practice is yet another example of a healthcare provider overcharging patients while under-delivering on care. First, the unprofessionalism: last year, this practice launched a Kickstarter campaign for a tampon product. Instead of keeping this separate from her medical practice, Dr. Yuliya used her entire patient database to send out daily emails soliciting donations. While I understand entrepreneurial pursuits, it's entirely inappropriate to use patient contact information for personal gain. Then came the real issues with care. I went in for my routine annual exam and received an automated message through the patient portal a few days later (on 11/14) notifying me that my Pap smear results showed high-risk HPV and ASCUS cells. This was alarming and required urgent follow-up. However, no one from the office called or provided any guidance. I sent a message through the portal on 11/15 asking about next steps--no response. I followed up with multiple calls and emails over the next several days and heard nothing until 11/26 (nearly two weeks later and right before Thanksgiving), when Dr. Yuliya sent me a rushed message through the portal: "Yes, you need a colposcopy, call the office." That was it. No explanation, no compassion, and no effort to walk me through what was happening. As if that wasn't bad enough, I then received a bill for $478.36. Confused, I reviewed the invoice and discovered I was being charged for an array of unnecessary services supposedly tied to diagnosing a UTI I had mentioned during the same visit. These charges included: * Evaluation and Management: $89.63 * Ultrasound limited scan: $137.46 * Ultrasound of pelvis: $115.52 * Ultrasound of pelvis through vagina: $130.92 * Urine test: $3.44 * Urinalysis, manual test: $1.39 While I expected a small charge for a urine test, why on earth were multiple ultrasounds conducted for a simple UTI? After reaching out to the office several times for an explanation, I received vague responses that left me feeling like this was a money-grab to make up for the failed tampon Kickstarter campaign. The bottom line: Dr. Yuliya doesn't seem to prioritize patient care. She failed to provide timely follow-up on serious test results, communicated in incomplete sentences that lacked any professionalism or empathy, and billed me for "extra services" without justification. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. Seek care elsewhere from a provider who truly values their patients and operates with integrity.

I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the practice including the medical assistants and the front desk staff. Dr. Anzai who was my primary was particularly kind and highly skilled. Being in the medical field I had a million questions and concerns and one by one he answered every question with honesty and evidence based data. Throughout my pregnancy I made multiple emails and last minute visits for concerns and I was always given an appt same day or if not the next day. But my concerns were always addressed via email or a call within the hour. The other providers were amazing as well. Dr. McLelland was on call the day I delivered and he treated me as if I had been his patient the whole time. I delivered precovid but has my follow ups post covid and I felt comfortable with the office protocols ie not many patients in the waiting room, socially distanced areas and of course proper mask wearing. If you are looking for a practice that genuinely cares for their patients I would look no further. Thank you Dr. Anzai!

This is not my first experience with these issues either my first pregnancy they did this a lot as well to the point where I went 10 weeks without an appointment and didn't get my anatomy until 27 weeks and ended up giving birth prematurely at 34 weeks after multiple times of telling them something was wrong and I felt like I was going into labor and I was ignored. And even the day I gave birth when going to the hospital I wasn't even seen by a dr the nurse said that he said to send me home that I was having Braxton hicks at 4cm dilated 90% effaced and having contractions every 2 minutes and I ended up going to another hospital an hour later being 8cm dilated.
