This review is for their on-site restaurant. I was lucky enough to be invited to Ferncroft Country Club for dinner Halloween Night. I never had the pleasure, so I jumped at the chance since my son is in college, and I don't seem to get a lot of trick-or-treaters in the city. Ferncroft is settled in what I would call a business-residential area, with beautiful homes, surroundings, and a stones throw away from Coco Key Resort. The road to get up to the main building was very dark, I am sure that is for a reason, but it was fitting for Halloween night I suppose. We pulled up and had our choice of spots. I figured there would be something going on but it seemed like just another night from the parking lot. When we entered, we were great with smiles and a roaring fire place. The smells from the kitchen already taking over my senses. I was in for a treat. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, helpful, and presented the specials well. Dinning room is small but that's okay because you can enjoy all the ambience it has to offer. After ordering a few drinks, my friend and I dove right in. Sliders and nachos to start and two mixed grilled plates for dinner. We finished that off with slices of Sweet Potato Maple cheesecake and Chocolate Fudge cake. Of course Sugerman had coffee as well. Appetizers 4 out 5 - The SLIDERS! I was advised by my friend we should order these. They didn't disappoint. Juicy, flavorful, and served with warm fries. You could even order this for your entree. The kid in you will love these, and so will the adult. The nachos were good. On par with most places but nothing special. Entrees 5 out 5 - Now I know we both ordered the mixed grill, but we both had the same feelings. The sausage was grilled to perfection, the chicken was super flavorful, and the steak tips melted in my mouth. Choose a side and you can't go wrong. And for the price, about $15 a plate, we were completely satisfied. Desserts 5 out 5 - My buddy was in a chocolate coma. The cake was rich and moist. The only problem with my Sweet Potato Maple cheesecake is I couldn't slow myself down to enjoy it longer. The house coffee was excellent, which I would "roast" them for (pun intended) for not caring about the little things. It was a perfect way to end the meal. Service 4 out 5 - Most of all the staff was warm and friendly, and out waitress certainly was. Plates were cleared and new silverware placed promptly. So if you ever get the opportunity to eat here with a member, cancel your plans and go early to view the local colors and scenery. read more

I am not a golfer. I was there as a photographer to cover a wedding. I like the place including where the ceremony and the reception was help. One of things I like is that the golf club is so quite. 4 stars. they also had a small bridge which is great for pictures. read more

We've been coming to the Ferncroft Country Club for the past two years - ever since we discovered the Boston Lobsters playing here. So, it's not about the golf for us but the tennis is always fun. It's a small place but I see that there is a pool by the tennis courts and they always truck in high-end, air-conditioned facilities which make it much more comfortable. The worst part is when the sun goes down and the lights come on, the bugs end up being pretty bad. We'll keep coming here though because it's a great way to get involved in World Team Tennis (WTT) and see some tennis greats in a fun, relaxed environment. read more

The Ferncroft was a beautiful setting for our out of town wedding. But the real star of the venue is Donna. Donna played planner, designer, coordinator, and the kindest friend through the entire process. She made sure every detail was handled from the first, incredibly detailed inquiry email to the follow up email with a special picture of my daughter and nephew. Our guests had, and still have, glowing reviews of her staff, the room set up, the outrageously good food, and ceremony and reception flow, and especially the kindness she showed to EVERY guest. Donna and her staff were accommodating, flexible, and generous were their time and expertise. There were plenty of beautiful locations for photos and the ceremony. Every single detail was perfectly mastered. The entire staff looked calm and relaxed. There was never a moment of panic or rushing. Donna seemed to be in every place, at every moment. My husband and I snuck away immediately after the ceremony to share a plate of hors d'oeuvres in the grooms suite (I can't recommend this enough. Do this! Take 5 minutes to sit in the quiet and relax together.) At one point during outdoor pictures I commented to my daughter, "I didn't eat enough." BAM! Food. I have always been intimidated by golf until now. I took a few lessons but it never helped develop my game to a level I felt comfortable both professionally and personally. I've missed out on golf tournaments, business golf and social golf with friends. Luckily I was introduce to Ferncroft CC - Academy Golf membership and my experience has been awesome. I participate in 2 golf clinics per week, receive 2 private lessons, can practice between clinics on the driving range and Par 3 course and the pace of the program/instructors are top notch. In addition to learning the game my membership allows me to experience the benefits of a private club membership (pool, tennis, fitness center, dining) at a price point not out of reach which surprised me and has exceeded my expectations. Just had my wedding here. It was so beautiful. They were so accommodating with all of our questions and visits to the venue. We originally planned a wedding in two weeks and they were able to get us a room. We postponed due to a death in the family and they let us postpone without a fee. The rooftop and ballroom were so beautiful. We had all sorts of decorations and special things set up and they did so great with that. Donna, Lisa, and Jenny did such a great job making our day magical. Also everyone said the food was great! The guests had prime rib and chicken saltimbocca. My husband and I were too busy taking pictures and visiting with people to eat much. read more

My wife and i had our wedding here. It was one of the most amazing places for a wedding. The function hall was beautiful and large plus you get a roof top bar that has amazing views. Julie the coordinator did an amazing job setting up with staff and helping coordinate pictures with our photographer. Pam was an amazing hostess that supplied with food and drinks to the wedding party. The food there is amazing. Everyone at our wedding loved the hors d'oeuvres and dinner. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our reception. read more
