It was a bit strange today having only one person swimming in the giant pool. It was overcast and rainy, Saturday evening... I guess I was the only one that needed to do laps but, when you're face down in the water, you don't really see anyone else or talk to anyone else. This is my favorite swimming/exercise spot . Can't say enough about it. Don't forget, the membership here also allows you to go to the other Reno area pools. Including Idlewild, north Northwest and Mount Evelyn or Evelyn Mount whatever it is. The building, locker rooms, seating areas, parking lot and outdoor areas look good. If you haven't been and you are thinking it is just another community pool like Alf Sorrenson or Idelwild, it is not. This is a jewel in the Parks & Rec. Department's offerings. This facility gets bonus points for being fully self sustainable with the hot springs and solar. The rates are reasonable with discounts on Wednesday evening and Sunday. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

It seemed that the water source was a single drinking fountain at the restroom at the furthest point of the park. Given that there are tennis and basketball courts in addition to a playground, I'd have thought more than one would be available, especially one to fill bottles and one for dogs. The available fountain was dirty and had low water pressure and the bathroom was closed. I also didn't see a single trash can which may be a problem for some who aren't/weren't expecting to haul trash out with them. There is a large area behind the restroom that is currently wasted space- an additional pavilion (with grills) and grass would be great. Overall, clean park that's great for a quick outing with young kids or those looking to play tennis or basketball, but I likely won't be back as it's lacking the amenities I'd need while out.

One thing I loved about working in South Reno are all of the parks. In the Summer, I'd pack a lunch and sit out and get some rays burning my hour lunch at one. Center creek park was one I'd like to park at and shaded picnic tables if I wanted shade. We frequent Pah Rah and since we were on the opposite side of town, my kids and I brought our Crush drinks here and decided to play a bit. It was a beautiful day and the playground isn't as well kept as other parks, but it did the job. My son was able to disperse some energy and my daughter and I got some volleyball time in.

I forget at times that this water play park is even here, and I was glad to be reminded of its existence. My toddler and I had a blast playing for hours. I never had summer babies, but I always told myself that if I did, birthdays would be celebrated at the pool or waterparks. It's super affordable fun for the kids here, and they sell cold drinks and Popsicles. The restrooms are well maintained. We were able to have fun with family, and the kids all enjoyed themselves. Who am I kidding, I had just as much or maybe more fun playing with my little. My kids and I will be back before this summer ends. Thanks for a memorable time with my kids.

Now owner can't lose money to replace a $6.00 pair of goggles? Do better.

There was a variety of equipment, the taller areas were fenced, parking was easy, and the structures had some shade coverings. Some of the equipment was challenging for our 7 year old, which is always a plus. Gotta keep him on his toes. Admission is $19 for two hours and grip socks are $3.50, if needed. The play area is pretty spacious, ranging from trampolines with obstacles, climbing slides, obstacle course, a swing to jump off, a high beam to swing and jump from, a zip line, a high beam knock down, dodge ball and other areas. Kids are able to jump around and run with space or make new friends to follow for the night. Parents are able to sit in the play area, after signing a waiver, to be closer to their little one. There is plenty of seating throughout. There is also seating below in the food court area of Defy. During the two hours, I went off for a bit to shop while my husband stayed behind. There are plenty of shops to explore especially with all the sales following the holiday season. Since it is an outlet/mall, there is plenty of parking on site. If/when you do visit, park near Scheels close to where you can see H&M from the parking lot. If you enter at this location, go straight and make a left onto the path. Once you pass the fireplace, there is a set of stairs. GO UPSTAIRS. Defy is there. We circled until we asked, signage to locate this place is not great. If you do get hungry there are plenty of places to eat within the outlet and shopping area, both driving and walking - depending on what you fancy. There is also the food court inside Defy, offering ICEE, fountain drinks, nachos, pretzels, pizza slices, popcorn and more. The prices are reasonable considering it's an attraction. We did our waivers and purchased our tickets and socks online, from their website, before visiting. You can also purchase at the counter and complete the waiver at a kiosk or by scanning the QR at the register. We downloaded the ticket to our Apple wallet and presented it at the register.

AMENITIES: Barbecue, basketball court, pathways, picnic shelter, playgrounds, tables/benches, and year-round restrooms. You need bathrooms on the other side of the park also. Atmosphere - Part of the 1962 acre master community. 8 acres put aside for this park. Open space, wetland, etc. Service - N/A, self service. Price - Free. Owner Suggestion - Thank you for such a nice park, but can I suggest more shade? And another set of bathrooms on the other side of the park.

We always seem to see some wildlife here. I've walked and ran this path several times even on a Christmas evening lights viewing /run outing.
