We had so much fun! Easily spent two hours playing in the lazy river, slide, etc. My 6.5 year old had a blast. Super sweet staff. Lots of snack options and you can buy goggles ($16) and swim suits. read more

Stopped in here to get a monthly pass so I could swim at my lunch break. They have two pools and the guy at the counter was pretty awesome... Kaiden maybe? Or Kaiten? Anyway, he explained all of the programs that they had, monthly versus drop in to use, versus a coupon book to be able to hit the swimming pool. Place was pretty awesome. Came for a swim meet and the facility is very nice and clean. It is a little humid but it's an indoor heated pool. There is plenty to do for little kids and big. read more

This was our first time in, and we really enjoyed it! While completely understandable, the swim test procedure was a bit complicated. I'm so glad they take the time to keep all swimmers safe! Super fun lazy river, water slide, overall great time and worth the cost of entry. Will go back again next time we are in the area. read more

We had a very fun trip here. It has taken me a few months to finish this review. The have a very nice area to take the kids. Especially, in the winter when you want a heated pool. The kids have to do a swim test to swim without a lifejacket in the kid area. This is a fun pool. read more

The pool is nice and the staff are friendly. I wish there was a cheaper option to swim for locals however, 8.50 to swim laps for 30 min sessions is pretty steep. Also the lifeguard just paced the pool the entire time- walking forward so no real vision focused on the pool. It was extremely distracting and obnoxious but mostly slightly unnerving seeing all these older lap swimmers with the lifeguard just walking in circles blind spots galore. Again nice facilities, and glad the youth in the community has a place to practice- but that too interferes with the allotted lap swim hours.:/ read more

This pool was great the life guards were super cool especially the cute blonde girl that was life guarding i raced her friend Pedro and i wooped him it was a fun couple of days i hope to see the two of them again. im a highschool water polo player and the facility was amazing the lap swim was good and yk it was am over all good experience for my vacation in truckee read more

This is a must stop in Donner! Best indoor swim zone. Has water slide, lazy river, kiddy splash pad. Best of all heated. Dog friendly too! read more

I attend the water aerobic classes in the lap pool many times a week. EVERY instructor is awesome & every class is different. Each person is working at their own level & some of us w/ injuries or pain are shown alternative ways to do an exercise. Men (not many) & woman of all ages attend, lots of aerobic activity & muscle work happen during the 50-60 minute class. Each class I leave happier than when I arrived. There is Water Yoga in the warm recreational pool that is different every time I attend. It amazes me how effective the class is even though it is so relaxing. Overall I don't know what I am doing but it is not a problem, the instructors just show us how to do the poses & get the most out of it. This week I tried the SUP Yoga class. I was the only one in class, the instructor listened to my body concerns (knee replacements) & gave me tips to successfully use the SUP & she figured out how I could do yoga poses I thought were impossible. Eileen teaches this class & she is enthusiastic & patient. In addition to all this, the warm water recreation pool has a section w/ a current or some call it a lazy river. Great opportunity to walk, rehab from various operations or just get rid of aches & pains. I am so thankful for the knowledgeable friendly front office staff, the lifeguards & the instructors. read more

I attended this pool for a birthday party. We live in Carson city and commuted to the party. It was our first time at this pool, but swim often in our area. I have a son that is one month short of 4 years old and a 9 year old boy. The facility is very tidy, clean and nice to look at. The staff member I dealt with today was incredibly rude. We walked in exited for swimming. The woman who was checking us in aggressively asked how old my children are sizing them up and down. I explained 3 and 9. She proceeded to look at my children with disgust and said that they require a 22$ swim diaper for anyone younger than 4. A disposable swim diaper was not sufficient, it had to be this 22$ one under the counter. My son has been potty trained for 2 years and the way she was talking, it sounded as if he already pooped in their pristine pool. I decided not to purchase the swim diaper for a 1 hour swimming session. She offended not only me, but my 3 year old was upset as well that she said he would poop in the pool. We moved on from that to my nine year old and she says " and he is going to wear a life jacket, correct?" My nine year old is a very competent swimmer. I had to pry to get her to finally tell me that a life guard could give him a swim test in order for him to get out of wearing a life jacket. But before she told me that she gave me a huge guilt trip about safety and made sure I knew she felt I was a terrible parent with unsafe decision making. Then my son elected to wear the life jacket so as to not make a scene but they didn't have his size so the one he was wearing would not buckle on the very bottom. The life guard would not let him in the pool. He asked the life guard to test him so he could swim and he declined. So neither kid got to swim. If the lady at the front was not so rude and that diaper thing was cheaper I probably would have just bought it. I left feeling cheap and very offended. I don't know if it is because my husband and I look so young and maybe we got judged? I understand safety and rules, but shouldn't I be able to choose if my son is a competent swimmer? I was going to get in with them. We are competent individuals, I'm a nurse and my husband is a high school teacher. I was mortified. The staff was also rude to my friend who was throwing the party, a lady came in and loudly, in front of her guests, explained to clean up her stuff because another party was coming in 40 minutes. I could tell my friend was embarrassed. Horrible customer service. It felt very exclusionary, because I'm not part of the local, affluent Truckee community. We will not be coming back. read more

This facility is amazing yet the employees and procedures are horrible. These people don't know a thing about service and constantly Change their procedures. It feels like there very money grubbing. From the smoothie they made that I expressed I wasn't happy with it was sorry we'll throw it away but you'll have to pay for another drink to the damn swimmer diaper rules. Initially it was swimmers they were required to wear well the next time I came they tell me these aren't allowed and forced me to buy their swim diaper. Obviously I drove all the way from kings beach 20 minutes away and with my 3 year old standing there what am I going to say sorry honey this pool wants to gouge me so we're going home. I've driven to this pool on number of occasions also just to find it closed when their suppose to be open due to fecal accidents and once it was a private party. I'm wondering why they don't just update their answering machine on those days instead of it being a huge disappointment waisted time and gas when we get here. That's happened to me two or three times. Last time we came I brought more than one pair of swim diapers just cause I didn't want to be turned away. I went so far as to even ask the lifeguard on duty if the ones he has on were ok he said if there's a liner their fine. The next time we come with same pair and am told their unacceptable and again am forced to buy another pair for him. What's up are they just money hungry or incompetent and they all have different procedures. It's really a horrible experience overall. Also they have a procedure where they close in between morning and afternoon for a couple hours and i came 11am one day only to be told we could only swim for one hour and then they expect us to leave one hour later and wait around several hours just to be able to swim when they reopen again. Needless to say we didn't stay to swim that day either. read more
