The funeral director accommodated special requests and no high pressure sales pitch was made. He got what he paid for and more. Ok so I have been in the funeral industry for many years and owned my own funeral service years…read moreago. So went to a family friend's funeral and he was laid out on US 19 in Homosassa. We got there and the attendants that hold open the door did not have ties on, very casual and that is not acceptable! So the one thing I did like was the tables were setup in the parlor and it did make it more comfortable to socialize. The funeral home inside was plain and all white with a few pictures, not welcoming at all! The day of the funeral, so the funeral director and staff had open shirts and no ties, the director walked around during the service on his cellphone and was talking to the cemetery staff, he would have been with the family. I found him to be very cold and unprofessional. He said at the end that the services are now concluded and the cemetery needs to do their thing now,, what an ass to say that!! The casket was not placed on the lowering device, the head of the casket was tilted downward looking like it could fall at anytime. No flowers were handed out to the family to place on the casket at the end or anything. I have worked for so many funeral homes and directors and I have never seen such a circus act like this and so unprofessional and caring for a family at there time of need. I strongly suggest that if you need a funeral home, don't use these clowns!!! If I could give less the one star I would, clowns!!

I have 10+ years experience in the Funeral Industry and I was very impressed with the overall business model of Baldwin Brothers. I can assure you that their prices are much lower than their competitors, yet the location where the Visitation and/or Funeral would happen is welcoming and soothing, organized and uplifting. I feel that grieving families would get personal service here at a low cost. I also met the pre-arrangement person who helps families to set up monthly payments so that everything is taken care of when that time comes (which truly helps their relatives to suffer less). I liked the man. Whether someone has passed or you want to plan ahead, Baldwin Brothers has everything you need.

There was no introduction, and definitely no sympathy. He actually made us feel guilty for being their customer. No one should need to deal with that at a very stressful time. The bulletin was printed with errors (wrong day of death!), and the slide show was created with duplicates. The facility is dated and nothing special. it was 6 days from the day or death to the funeral, and they got things together quickly so the funeral went off without a hitch. However, I'm sure there are better options in The Villages.

I was going through a very hard time and called a few different funeral homes. The big deciding factor for me to work with Beyer's was the staff from my 1st phone call. My 1st phone call was with RJ. He was very understanding and was so nice and helpful. I spoke with RJ a few times and yes at all hours of the night. He kept me in the loop with the process at each step of the way until my mother was in Beyer's care. Then I worked with David and Patrick. Both were super awesome, caring, and very communicative. All calls and emails were responded to in a very timely manner. I was doing all of this from Illinois and I must say I kept thinking "Beyer's has such great customer service and they really deliver southern charm" I also spoke with the office girls a few times (I don't have names) but once again was never disappointed!!! Beyer's team went above and beyond for me and I so appreciate it!!! They made the hardest time in my life easier for me to handle. They get an A+++ in my book!
