I attempted to get information on my father's ashes and I felt insulted by the disrespectful tone used in response. I knew that this entity had performed the cremation service and I was trying to find out if they knew where his ashes were put to rest. I knew that the ashes were released to a family member whom I was unable to locate. Instead of simply stating that they didn't know or maybe that it was possibly privileged information and that they couldn't release it if they had it, they rudely blew me off and told me, "how should I know" when I asked why he was being so rude, he became belligerent and hung up. I would never recommend McGan Cremation Service, LLC F187922. They are rude and disrespectful! read more

Horrible experience and it still haunts me to this day. The owner, Sean McGan should not be in this work of cremation services. I can go into alot of detail, but to sum it all up, he has no compassion or respect. I went to pick up the urn for my father early afternoon and I felt very rushed. I felt like I was bothering him and taking up his time, I kept apologizing. He was clicking his pen away impatient and felt bothered when I asked if their was a catalog or something I can look through, He wasn't really that helpful. It was my first time going though this process and then for him to leave a voicemail "your father is ready for pickup"slams the phone. I don't know, it just rubbed me the Wrong way. This buisness needs to shut down or get a new owner. The same owner/family is known in town to be horrible tippers too not that it matters but just goes to show you character. If you need cremation services locally in Citrus, please be very wary of this company and go support a good solid local reputable company with better reviews. read more

They quote you prices for service but the correct process is you should be given a itemized price list and you pick what you want. And not what color you burying the deceased for the casket you are suppose to pick the casket. Each item of service should be itemized with a price not the word included. Death certificates are 10.00 with the health dept and she charge 20.00 with no explanation of why. If any of the above has happen to you more than likely you've been overcharged and should contact the Funeral Compliance office in Tallahassee at (850)413-3039 to file a complaint. To be taken an advantage of in the time of a love death is the lowest but if everyone file a complaint this can be stopped. I filed a complaint. UPDATE: MY COMPLAINT WAS COMPLETED AND AFTER THE INVESTIGATION THERE WAS A FINDING OF 4 VIOLATIONS.
