And to top it all off, Sean even helped our family out with some small odd jobs around the house for no extra charge - he is just that nice. I am no stranger to home renovations, having done several. We had contacted Exquisite Tile and they accepted the return of the unused boxes. Should we have returned the boxes, we were notified to receive some sort of remittance but we have not received anything. Three months later, we have not received any remittance for the boxes that we had returned. Three weeks ago, we were promised to receive some compensation for the returned tiles but as of today we have not received any nor have we received any communication.

Now I…read moreknow why this business has good ratings elsewhere because people who do not leave good ratings are harassed and bullied. Below is my honest experience with this company. Cons: Painting: These are not professional painters and it shows. I had paint all over my floors, my furniture, and it was uneven and had to be redone a few times. Spots were missing and I had to go around and inspect every little area to make sure that the painting happened. I had to specifically request that they cover my furniture after spending the day cleaning paint off of it. This should be a given and should have happened before I even asked. I also asked them to use painters tape, and he refused (probably because it takes considerable time to do it the right way). I am still not totally satisfied with the paint job, but I had to just accept it. Accountability: Nothing is ever "their fault"--every issue that I had (including having them redo painting in some rooms) was something that they claimed that I did, or the walls weren't straight, or something. It was never something that they may be needed to take more care with. A lot of the work appeared to be rushed and done carelessly, and there was no accountability for that on the part of the company. Example: The owner mistakenly instructed the men to put door knob holes in my closet doors. As a result, there were no handles that would fit. They had to get new doors. He asked me to reimburse him for the new doors. I told him absolutely not---that it was HIS mistake, and I know nothing about construction. I never would have told them where or where not to put holes. He did agree and paid for the doors. Just an example of the accountability aspect and how I had to push back to get him to admit that it was his fault and not mine. Punctuality: As a person working from home, the arrival time of the team in the morning had an impact on my day. I had to be sure that I was up and showered and ready before they arrived. Sometimes this meant waking up 2 hours before I normally would. It was very frustrating to wake up early to accommodate them, to only be sitting there waiting and waiting for them to arrive. In three weeks, they did not arrive on time ONCE. The owner had an excuse every day about "traffic" and "long lines" at Home Depot. To this I said, plan ahead. Why are you scrambling in Home Depot in the morning? As someone who has worked my entire life, I have always left early enough for work just in case I hit traffic or something unexpected happened. He did not seem to think his punctuality was expected or a big deal if he was not on time. Organization: There were SEVERAL times throughout this 3-4 week project that the workers did not have things that they needed or the schedule was all over the place. The owner seemed to be making decisions nightly about what the plan was for the next day. As someone living in the home during the renovation, this was extremely frustrating to not know how to plan my day until the night before. I think that the men that work for this company would have done a better job if their materials and schedules were more organized. Professionalism: While the owner is available and accessible by phone, I could hear his kids screaming in the background on almost every phone call. I get that we are working from home now, but I still manage to conduct myself professionally. He is a nice guy, but can be visibly frustrated by things that may not go perfectly. You can hear frustration in his voice when he doesn't get his way.

Gallegos is very unreliable. We will have to have their expensive piece of garbage, that was heavily scratched, and had multiple beverage rings etched on the surface as per an expert at stone restoration, replaced. When the stones were removed it was obvious the counter was black and the backsplash was gray. Gallegos seem to have very questionable business practices. Noticed they respond to negative feedback by criticizing the customer. Had they done their job well, no one would be complaining. Gallegos was given the opportunity to rectify their mistake. They sent a smug employee, allegedly to remove and polish the stone, he only wanted to photograph the hot mess, then got in the company truck and left. They used up their good will, I would not trust them in our home again!
