He is honest, his prices reasonable, and he truly cares for his work and making you happy. When we first started I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work that needed to be done to renovate a 30 year old dentist office with 7 rooms to a modern beautiful spa like Acupuncture office. Everything needed to be gutted and replaced. We had to demo everything to its bones, tear up carpets and tiles, remove large pieces of walls in each room and then rebuild walls, doors, replace flooring, lights and everything to modernize and give it that spa like feeling. I was stressed....Until I talked with Fernando and we discussed the project and plans going forward. There are some people that instantly make you feel calm, relaxed and like everything is going to be okay. Fernando is one of those people. He is a true gift. The calm I felt was continually delivered over the time of the renovation as his team quickly went to work and my office moved along exactly along the time table he projected. Fernando and his crew did an incredible job and I owe it to homeowners in Westchester to write this review. Top quality, reasonable price, incredibly fast, and on top of all that nice and easy to work with. For more detail I should write some background. When we moved to Croton in 2019, we had plans for updating and customizing our home. We tried really hard to find good contractors, having had bad experiences in the past. Unfortunately we kept having one bad experience after another. Bad quality, unfinished work, open permits, huge delays, big increases in cost from the estimates, and in general headaches for us to deal with. Fernando came in and fixed all our problems. Other contractors took 3 months to grade, install a basic stone wall, and dig a hole for a rain garden. Then they quoted us $45k to finish the work. When we said that was too high they left us with a mess. Fernando took 6 days to do that same work for half the cost. Then on top of that he fixed a huge mistake the other crew made on the rain garden and installed a good system that makes us much more confident our home is protected from big storms. The whole time he was much more transparent about materials and cost and timing than anyone else we dealt with. We're hoping that he's available for all our future projects and so happy that we finally found such a great contractor. Fernando and his team did an absolute amazing job on our complete home renovation. He turned a very run down, foreclosed home into a wonderful modern home for our family. Vista did all of the demolition and turned a 6 bedroom 2 bathroom into 4 bedroom 3 bathroom with all of the modern amenities we could ask for. He vaulted our ceiling, added a huge open concept kitchen, all new electrical, plumbing, siding, structural beams, new hardwood floors, laundry room, tile in every bathroom, all new windows and doors and on and on. I have used Fernando & Vista for 6+ years for a variety of projects. Last summer I was away and we had a basement flood. Without my supervision or presence Fernando and his team found the source of the water ingress- remediated the leak- put in a new drainage path- cleaned and dried my basement whilst keeping me up to date on what was happening.
