I met Art Dixon at the Fresno Home Show and he stood out in a confusing and overwhelming sea of contractors. He was funny and outgoing and assured me he would be true to his word. We had been dealing with contractors and home repairs for several months and some horrible experiences: calls never returned, projects started and not completed and a couple of no shows. The single best thing about dealing with Art and his crew was that they always did what they said they would! They were easy to reach, returned messages quickly, showed up on time every single day of a long project and followed through on every commitment and request without fail. We also appreciated his suggestions with everything from upgrades to paint color, as we were often overwhelmed. His suggestions for kitchen lighting was something we hadn't considered and it was a fantastic decision. He even helped us save money by repairing rather than replacing when possible. He suggested a wall color that is absolutely perfect, much better than what we had originally selected. The biggest part of the project was completely repainting the entire interior of the house. Art's team (big thanks to Craig) worked so hard to make the project easy. They worked with our schedule, assisted the timing so we never needed to stay away from home at night, were extremely clean and professional, and even accommodated a finicky indoor cat. There were no shortcuts - everything was covered, everything was taped and everything was painted beautifully. The lines are so clean. We have not had a single issue or concern, which is surprising given the size of the project. I had spoken with a few Yelp and nonYelp contractors concerning drywall and texturing…read more Marcus was one of only two people who asked me the drywall thickness (so he could pick it up the night before) and seeing that one wall was in the bathroom (based on my submitted project photos), he specifically purchased moisture/mold resistant drywall. When I asked about the the gaps from cutting around pipes, he taped and mudded around the pipe so it would be solid. He gives forethought on what is best for that specific job, arrives with the proper supplies and all tools necessary. The pictures show how he prepped the area to be textured, covering the shelves as well as protecting our hardwood floors with the heavy duty floor protection paper. When I asked about a patch job that I wanted to tackle myself, he showed me how and even shared a trick of the trade for measuring it. Overall, he was polite, conscientious, respectful to our home, and his price was fair. We were very pleased and appreciated his attentiveness to detail.
