Dr Moenning had me sit on this device and then did an examination on the table and after a talk ( a good talk about diet, meds etc ), Dr Moenning announced that in his opinion there was something wrong other than what I had come in for ( hemmoroids ) and made it sound like it could be something attached to my spine or other part of my body. I didn't take it seriously at that time which was a big mistake on my part. Here I am 1 1/2 years later, 7 treatments under anestisia with one guy in port charlotte and another in venice and finally as neither one of these experts even had an opinion, I went to a world renowned hospital where they, after a barrage of tests concluded that I may have pelvic floor disorder and absolutely not hemeroids. Had I just listened to Dr Moenning to begin with, I probably would have been able to avoid most if not all of the.........expertice these local port charlotte/venice docs bestowed on me . If Dr Moenning tells you something.......don't be like I was, listen and follow his directions. He knows what he is talking about. I wish I was close enough to see him but if you are anywhere near him, you should strongly consider seeing him for your medical issues.

My wife went for a visit yesterday for her Crohns. The staff appears to be incompetent and here's…read morethe reason why: They sent a prescription to CVS for Prednisone for the wrong amount. Instead of 10mg dosage as ordered by Dr. Thakkar they sent a 1mg prescription. The pharmacist said his hard copy said 1mg. Whoever called the prescription or faxed sent the wrong mg dosage for Prednisone. This is inexcusable, unprofessional and dangerous to the patient. Also Dr. Thakkar seemed to be in a hurry and doesn't have time to listen to the patient. So now we paid for a prescription that my wife cannot use. Is Dr. Thakkar going to reimburse us for their mistake? Their policy says a mask must be worn at all times but several patients were seen going down the hall outside the exam rooms without a mask. This place doesn't seem to be organized nor patient friendly.

Here's why: 1) she is a master in her field 2) excellent bedside manner 3) very courteous 4) did not rush me 5) I got her undivided attention / she was in the moment which in turn makes me feel comfortable 6) sometimes, I did not know how to convey my feelings but she asked pertinent questions to draw out what I had difficulties expressing. she is a great listener and communicator 7) she is patient and kind 8) She is humble (hardly seen in the medical field) 9) Her staff is as diligent, knowledgeable and attentive to patience as she is. It takes a great leader to inspire a diverse team like hers 10) oh did I mention she was amazing and gorgeous? Oops, i just did :) Ps. I almost missed out on an amazing doctor because I found 1 online review for the office she works and unfortunately it was negative. View that in my line of business I deal with complaints 5 days a week, I can weed out a true break in service from an unreasonable patient/customer. I just wish people make as much effort into reporting great service as I do the bad ones. From the moment I arrived, the male receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. I was then taken to the back where it was very crowded, and I was told I would be moved to a yellow room. As soon as I sat down, I overheard nurses openly complaining--talking negatively about other rooms "pushing patients off on them" and saying they weren't even busy. What made it worse is that they continued speaking in a way that made it clear they were talking about me, as if I wasn't sitting right there. I can't imagine how devastating this kind of treatment would feel to someone who is there battling cancer. No patient should ever be made to feel like an inconvenience while receiving medical care. This experience was shameful, unprofessional, and completely lacking compassion.
